She’s been nominated twice for Golden Globes. And she’s won a SAG award, according to Baller Alert. Likewise, she’s the first double-nominee for “Best-Supporting Actress” and “Best Song,” regarding the Oscars, for the Netflix movie, Mudbound.

Then too, as aforementioned, she was picked up for Netflix’s series The Umbrella Academy, which has received several positive reviews. People weren’t expecting Mary J. to bring such an action-packed performance as “Cha-Cha.” But she proved everyone wrong. So, yeah. “Lifetime achievement” is right on time, people.

Baller Alert reports as follows:

“According to the Network [BET], this year’s awards ceremony will be hosted by Regina Hall. Bet has also already confirmed performances by Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Migos, H.E.R., Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lizzo, Mustard, Lil Baby, Yung Miami of City Girls, Lucky Daye and Kiana Ledé, and presenters include Taraji P. Henson, Morris Chestnut, Lena Waithe, Yara Shahidi and more.”

All in all, what are your thoughts about Blige’s pending award? If you have any comments, feel free to share them via our Facebook page.
