If you’ve played “Street Fighter,” you know the boxing character, Balrog. Well, according to Fighting Street — as well as HotBoxin’ with Mike Tyson — Balrog’s original name was Mike Bison (M. Bison) in the Japanese version of the game.

Mike Bison sounds an awful lot like Mike Tyson, right? However, avoiding that fiasco, game-makers reportedly decided to switch things up, according to the podcast.

In the original layout, Balrog was named “M. Bison,” Vega was named “Balrog,” and M. Bison was named “Vega.” So, reportedly when the game came to the States, they flipped the script. And the character imaged after Mike Tyson switched from “Mike Bison” to “Balrog.”

And here’s the kicker…

Tyson didn’t even know until they brought it up during the show. “Awwwwwwww, they got meeeeee,” Mike shockingly expressed.
