This isn’t the first time Waka has been in trouble with the IRS. In 2012 he was hit with a bill from Uncle Sam initially totaling $27,000 that increased over time after fees and penalties came into play. The Blast reports;

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the Georgia Department of Revenue hit the rapper with a State Tax Lien over an unpaid debt.

The court docs accuse Waka (real name Juaquin Malphurs) of failing to pay up on a 2012 tax bill. The original amount owed was $27,000, but over the years, the debt has swelled with interest and penalties to $55,241.35.

The Department warned the rapper that if he doesn’t cough up the money soon, they could come after his property and assets.

Uncle Sam doesn’t play when it comes time to pay. They better ask Mona for a raise and get this taken care of immediately because the two of them are just getting back in stride after so many years of ups and downs and the last thing they need right now is another setback.
