Now let’s fast forward to today’s music. Mary J. Blige has a song out called Whole Damn Year and many folks are wondering if it’s about her relationship she had back in the day with KC of Jodeci. It’s been rumored that she’s stated in the past that it took her 5 years to get over KC and in the hook she sings: “It’s been a long 5 years.” On the flip side, Mary J. is happily married to Kendu Isaac now, but this song does raise a few eyebrows about what relationship she’s singing about.

Remember Usher’s Confessions song? For those of you who don’t know, many people thought Usher was originally singing about how he cheated on his ex-girlfriend, Chili of TLC, and impregnated another woman…that is until Janet Jackson’s ex-boyfreind, producer/songwriter Jermaine Dupri, confessed about writing Confessions about his personal life, not Usher’s.
