He continued: “You see, God is really fair, and when he wants you to do something else and you won’t do it, he’ll bring about a set of circumstances that will cause you. So now, there’s obviously something that you should be doing instead of what you was doing.”

At the end of the clip, Steve asked the audience member what he thought his gift was. When he said he was good in the kitchen, Steve asked him why he was working at a computer store then.

Steve’s wife of 11 years, Marjorie Harvey, posted another inspiring video of the talk show host just a few days ago. In it, her husband directly addresses his show getting canceled to the live studio audience. While it’s clear that Steve is sad to say goodbye, he seemed optimistic about what this means for his life in the days to come. (Good Housekeeping)

“You gotta understand how it works. Your life ain’t nothing but a book. I happen to be 62 years old,” Steve explained. “In this 62nd chapter, I got my finger on the corner of the page. All I’m doing is I’m about to turn it. I can’t wait to see what God’s got for me on that other page.”
