Got Involved With The Wrong Person…

Reportedly, McNair accumulated the most wins of any quarterback in franchise history. However, he ended up getting with a crazy, side chick — Sahel Kazemi. And unfortunately, she led to his demise.

According to The Tennessean, she basically ignored all the “side piece” rules and would randomly call him while at home with the wife and kids.

Eventually, Steve McNair grew tired of the nonsense, and started backing off. The source says Kazemi was financially struggling. And a few days prior to his death, McNair wired her $2,000. From recovered texts, Kazemi messaged McNair as follows:

“Baby I need to pay the cell phone bills n the hospital. can you transfer 2000 to my acc (sic).”

But it seems Kazemi had also become a stalker. Apparently, Kazemi had found out that McNair was also talking to others. Reportedly, another woman who’d been hanging with Steve — Leah Ignagni — recalled being followed home by a black Cadillac Escalade. Ignagni says there were various times she noticed the black SUV parked outside her apartment or slowly circling her street.

The Tennessean reports that, on the night of his death, Kazemi had purchased a handgun after getting off work early. From the text messages, she pretty much begged Steve to see her, specifically that night. Steve agreed to meet her, against his better judgement.

According to the report, he was shot four times. And Kazemi shot herself in the head. The source says it’s possible McNair was sleep when he was shot, because there were no signs of struggle on either of them.

If you’re interested in their text conversation just before the meet-up, it’s located below — as reported by The Tennessean.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
