Will Smith’s and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s son, Jaden Smith, proved to be a solid actor years ago, as young child in Pursuit of Happyness with his Pops. However, for Jaden’s latest collabo,’ it may take a whole lot more than just acting skills to please Kanye West, whom he’ll be portraying in a new Showtime series.

Why? Because as ‘Ye has demonstrated throughout the years, he could be a tad egotistical at times and has thrown public tantrums during interviews (hint, hint: his “Sway in the Morning” interview; and his TMZ hissy-fit). Also, let’s not even get started on Kanye’s questionably odd support of his “brother” and idol, Donald Trump.

In spite of all of that, hopefully Jaden will be able to meet Kanye’s standards for the upcoming Showtime series ‘Ye is executive producing, titled Omniverse.

For Omniverse it was only natural that Kanye created a show that is all about him. According to Daily News, ‘The network [Showtime] says the show’s first season “explores the Ego through an alternate reality Kanye West.” Not really sure what that means, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Kim Kardashian’s hubby is cookin’ up.

On a side note, it’s unclear why Kanye chose Jaden to portray him, at least from a physical standpoint. While both are handsome dudes in their own right, they look nothing alike, with their only physical similarities being their height- Jaden is 5’7″ and Kanye is 5’8″.

There are other similarities between the two though. They are both rap artists, with clever lyrics; and they each have eclectic tastes in fashion.

Speaking of fashion, 50 Cent just clowned Kanye’s in his hilariously meme-worthy online post.

On Christmas day, Smith posted his most epic posts to date. He revealed, in a series of IG posts, that his wonderful wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, was making their whole family partake in several Christmas activities that he didn’t really wanna do. But for the sake of being the loving and devoted husband and father that he is, Will did them anyway. That didn’t stop him from complaining about it and blasting Jada over it in the most comical way though…

He Hated The Ugly Christmas Sweaters

The “Parents Just Don’t Understand” rapper first shared a photo with a caption that showed him crying out for help, LOL:

“Somebody please help! Jada makes us wear these ugly ass sweaters for Christmas…She’s doin’ too much! She’s just gettin’ stared…stay tuned…more to come.”

Smith Tried To Snap Photos Quickly To Avoid This…

Then he hit his fans with an update. It was a group photo of himself, Jada, and their two children, Willow and Jaden, dressed to hilt in their ‘ugly Christmas sweaters.’ Will said it was important that he quickly snapped the family photos, before he started to get an allergic reaction to the sweaters:

“Tryna get some photos in before these sweaters start itchin’! I’m starting to feel it already.”

And lastly, to put the icing on the cake, Will posted video of the fam’ hopping on a very chilly sleigh ride with some of their family and friends, as they all sang Christmas carols. It was cool, yet corny…and cold as hell, but it was Will’s changing of the lyrics that had many folks crackin’ up. Jaden Smith has entered into a new business that’s totally different from his acting and music careers, but still requires a certain level of creativity nonetheless. He’s become serious about helping to save the earth and eliminate toxic pollutions.

One way he’s doing so, is through his new sustainable water bottle company, called JUST Water. In other words, Jaden’s company created a new line of bottles from upcycled, reusable goods that help eliminate the dangerous amounts of plastic typically used. Jaden’s JUST Water bottles are made up of 80% renewable materials, which he says means that they are “not made of plastic.” In a video Jada recently posted online, her son spoke about why he felt compelled to create the environment friendly water bottles and it’s evident that he is passionate as hell about it. It’s now become widely known that plastic pollution is a serious problem that is causing harmful, life threatening illnesses to humans and is killing off wildlife. So it’s impressive to see Jaden doing his part to help curve that. Most 19 year old dudes could care less about ‘saving the planet.’ C’mon now, y’all know at that stage of their lives, getting women (or men…whichever they prefer) is a much more typical point of interest, just sayin.’ Moving on…

Jada Cuts Up On Stage With Daughter, Willow

We already know that both Jada and her 16 year old daughter, Willow, are cut from the same clothe when it comes to their love for the stage. Jada once had her rock band, Wicked Wisdom, and Willow has her solo thing going on. So it was only natural that when Willow recently performed at the AfroPunk Fest in Atlanta, she showed up to support her baby. Not only did she show up though, Mrs. Smith stepped on stage and showed out with Willow for a hot second. Watch it below…

For a while, many of us were starting to get worried about the Will and Jada’s kids. The red flags were that emotional breakdown Jaden posted on Instagram Live a while ago, and the controversial grown up photoshoot Willow did, which had folks talking. As of now though, the Smith’s kids -who are still just as creative and eclectic as they ever were- seem to have their minds right and are accomplishing some great feats in life. Big ups to the Smith family!

Jaden Smith is a heterosexual male, so for many of us old schoolers, it may seem a little strange that a straight male chooses to wear women’s clothing. Back in the day, most of us were only accustomed to seeing gay or bisexual men rock ladies clothing, which is perfectly okay. We had celebs like the singer Sylvester, Boy George, Little Richard- who were openly gay men- wearing lipstick, eye liner and women’s apparel, but then again, we also had Prince and David Bowie, who are straight males, but sometimes wore heels, makeup, and blouses to play on the line of merging the gender barriers.

Although Prince and Bowie’s makeup/clothing choices sparked rumors about their sexuality, we still accepted them and viewed their fashion choices as them making statements. That’s what it seems like Jaden is trying to do also, but maybe it’s just gonna take a lil’ more time for many of us to get a clear understanding of what his movement is.
