The Marathon Continues

Nipsey Hussle’s final day on his music video set was an inspirational good vibe. Three of the most influential people came together and made history. DJ Khaled and John Legend will be the last people to have ever shot a video with the late and great Nipsey Hussle.

TMZ  released footage of the video, showing Nip, John and Khaled recording the music video. The video was shoot just a few days shy of Nipseys murder outside his Marathon Clothing store in South L.A. The video setting was atop a parking structure the crew rented out in nearby Inglewood.

Chaotic Music Video Set

You might remember it appeared that someone was out to kill Nipsey Hussle just days before he was murdered. The alleged attack was predicted to happen at the video shoot.  The team with him were warned ahead of time and they proceeded with extreme caution to protect him.

Sources on the Inglewood set confessed there was great concern over Nipsey’s safety during the shoot. Primarily the parking structure the crew picked to shoot at. The production team insisted the entire parking structure be shut down. Therefore only people working the shoot would have access.

However production only booked the top two floors of the parking deck. The public was still able to park underneath the top two floors.

The production did step it up by hiring 10 armed police officers because of concerns over Nipsey’s safety. Sources say that the crew and entourage was nervous someone would try to sneak on set and kill the rapper.

Oddly enough just a few days later, Nipsey was gunned down in front of his own storefront. Ironically Nipsey subliminally tweeted about “enemies” just hours before he was killed.

The Splash Down

As we all know by now Dwyane Wade recently announced that he will be ending his amazing 16-year NBA career. He played the final home game of his career on Tuesday at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Famous pals and Chrissy Teigen and John Legend got an incredible memento of the grand occasion.

Miami Heat played Philadelphia 76ers and defeated them. The comedic couple were courtside for the game and for one of the year’s top epic moment. It was all captured on camera. Teigen and Legend were caught completely off guard as Wade came crashing down on them during the game.

The 6-foot-4-inch NBA super star careened into the pair accidentally causing their drinks to explode all over them. Not to mention essentially crushing them into their seats. The perfect moment was captioned in a snapshot by the Miami Herald, who tweeted the photo to Teigen asking if she would like a copy.

Everything about the photo is epic. The combined elements of Teigen’s face getting jabbed from what that looks to be a straw to Legend’s shocked reaction while being pelted with ice, to Wade’s totally oblivious expression. We assume he was probably more focused on the game itself than the celebrity couple he had just crashed into.

Ironically, neither Kanye nor Trump mentioned the fact that Trump was quick to praise some of the white supremacists in Charlottesville, VA, praising some of them as “fine people.” Yet, Trump has ignored the recent African American ‘Waffle House hero,’ James Shaw Jr.’s, brave actions of saving the lives of many, after wrestling the gun away from Caucasian murderer, Travis Reinking, who killed four Waffle House customers and made headlines across the country. ‘Noah’ Broke The News, Asks Fans For Support

The cancellation news hit many loyal fans like a ton of bricks. The first person to break the news to the public was actor, Aldis Hodge. He plays the runaway slave, ‘Noah,’- the love interest of Jurnee Smollett’s character, ‘Rosalee.’ In his Instagram post Aldis wrote a touching “thank you and farewell” message.

He further explained that “After two seasons, it’s time for #UndergroundWGN to say goodbye. Unfortunately we will not be coming back for a 3rd season on #WGNAmerica. I understand that this is tough news for a lot of people to hear and I know many have personally expressed their anger. But I encourage you to repurpose your anger in a positive way by sharing your passion for this show by reaching out to the network you would like to see us on. Fans were still disappointed and it wasn’t until John Legend came through with his words of rebelliousness that kinda felt like the rebellious spirit we watched the resilient runaway slaves express in his TV series. The young lady’s name is Mercedes. She’s from North Carolina and goes by the name @CruzanChoklate on Instagram and Twitter. She often chronicles her aspirations on social media and anyone following her knew that she has dreams of becoming an esthetician one day.

In hopes of making her dream come true, she recently started a YouCare account to help raise money from her family and friends, to cover the $5,995 tuition fee she need to obtain her license as an esthetician ( a skin care expert).

Shortly after starting her YouCare fundraising account, something happened that Mercedes could not believe – her goal was met in no time flat. And who did she have to thank for it? Chrissy Teigen, who posted this to Mercedes’ YouCare page:

Chrissy Teigen: “I’ve seen this be your passion for such a long time now. So excited to see you fulfill your dream!”

Mercedes immediately took to Instagram and Twitter to document the miracle and cried her heart out with joy. Read what she wrote below:
