Details Of Joyeclyn Savage’s Engagement Claims In Letter To Judge

Via E!News: In a letter to a judge dated on June 13 [2022] and recently obtained by E! News, aspiring singer Jocelyn Savage shared that she and the R&B singer are engaged and asked the court to hand down a more lenient prison sentence in his case. The letter was filed by Kelly’s legal team ahead of his sentencing.

“My name is Joycelyn Savage, and I’m Robert Kelly’s fiancé,” she began in letter. “I’m writing this letter in support of Robert in advance of his sentencing, so I can explain to the court that I’m not the victim that the government has portrayed me to be.”

Joycelyn also described her relationship with Kelly as “amazing,” and added that R. Kelly is “best thing that’s ever happened to me.” There’s more…

“We have a very special connection and are deeply in love, [wrote Joycelyn]. … Robert is not the monster that the government has described him to be. The Robert I know is very sweet, gentle, and kind. .. He’s very determined and focused on his goals, and the things that have been said about him, with me and other women being held against our will is absolutely untrue.”

Joycelyn also wrote that “it breaks my heart that the government has created a narrative that I’m a victim.”

“I’m a grown woman, and can speak for myself which is why I wanted to provide this letter to the court,” she added. “[Kelly] is a great man, with a great heart and deserves to be home with his loved ones who are ready to support him.”

Joycelyn wrote her letter to the judge two weeks prior to R. Kelly being sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of all nine charges he was facing — including bribery, racketeering, coercion, enticement and sex trafficking. So, it seems that her letter had zero affect on the judge’s sentencing at that time.

Joycelyn’s Parents Claim Engagement Is BS

According to Joycelyn Savage’s parents, her engagement to R. Kelly is hella suspect. Below, is what their attorney stated on their behalf, regarding Joycelyn’s engagement claim…

Via TMZ: Gerald Griggs, an attorney for Savage’s parents, tells TMZ … she never made the engagement known to the family, and they’ve never even spoken about the possibility beforehand.

Griggs tells us he finds it odd Savage didn’t testify about it under oath, and instead slipped it into the letter submitted to the court. Savage’s family “strongly doubts” the engagement story … and are wishing to reconnect with her to get the full story.

They do admit it isn’t unusual she wouldn’t make it known to her parents — Griggs says she hasn’t really spoken to them since she left to be with Kelly.

As y’all already know, Joycelyn Savage was the one girlfriend (Kelly had several at once) who has stood by his side during his many legal battles. Not quite sure if Joycelyn will continue to be her man’s ride-or-die ‘fiancee’ for the duration of his 30-year bid…but only time will tell.

As R. Kelly (52) prepares to have his day in court for the pending sex abuse cases against him, his manager, James Mason, just got tossed into the hot water with him. Now the manager is facing prison time.

Why R. Kelly’s Manager Just Got Indicted…
On Thursday, June 6, R. Kelly’s manager, Jason Mason, was indicted in a Henry County courthouse in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell area of Georgia. According to the Henry County District Attorney, Mason is charged with one felony count of ‘making terroristic threats’ against the father of R. Kelly’s ‘tender-roni’ girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage (23).

In August 2018, we reported that Joycelyn’s dad, Timothy Savage, filed a police report against Mason in May 2018. He’d claimed that Mason made death threats against him, telling him, “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f****** kill you.”

It’s unclear why it took Henry County officials 3 months to arrest Mason on the charge in August, but he immediately bailed out and awaited his June 6, 2019 court date. Now, Mason is facing 1 to 10 years in prison for the alleged death threat…

As the intense hunt for R. Kelly’s alleged stash of sex tapes, involving underaged girls seemingly runs dry, the “Bump N’ Grind” crooner is getting hit from another angle that could have equally harsh criminal consequences.

As we previously reported, in addition to the 10-count sex abuse felony charges R. Kelly is already facing in Chicago, IL, law officials were turning up the heat on sex trafficking and tax evasion investigation into Kelly, in the Northern District of Illinois and the Southern District of New York.

The Expected Charges…

Fast forward to a couple months later, and now ICE Homeland Security is close to finishing up their investigation. According to sources close to the situation, the department is expected to hit Kelly with multiple federal indictments within a few weeks.

The charges are expected to include sex trafficking and tax evasion charges. Sources also say that several witnesses have been interviewed in the case throughout the past few months and officials believe they now have enough evidence to take their findings in front of a grand jury.

The tax evasion charge is pretty simple- they suspect that R. Kelly didn’t pay his taxes for a lengthy period of time, ’nuff said.

The sex trafficking charge is a tadbit interesting though. ICE is reportedly investigating whether or not the 52 year old “Seems Like You’re Ready” O.G. flew either of his two barely legal 20-something year old girlfriends, across state lines when they were teenagers. According to reports, the family of his girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, has provided ICE much of the findings needed to bring charges against Kelly, such as plane tickets, text messages, photos, etc..

While it’s extremely likely that 23 year old Joycelyn probably is ‘brainwashed’ by her 52 year old boyfriend, R. Kelly…the Savages’ may have also just proven her right as well, with their prior actions that have recently been brought to the public’s attention.

We’re probably all at the point now, where we want this trial to do what it’s gonna do. There are so many twists and turns, people are lying, folks are panicking. It’s ridiculous.

This time, it’s some folk who are very close to Joycelyn Savage. Her friends say that Joycelyn confided some very important information about R. Kelly. Here’s what they revealed to TheBlast:

R. Kelly‘s girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, confided in friends that the singer sexually assaulted her during their very first encounter, and now those friends have told the story to federal investigators.

Sources very close to the ongoing federal investigation into R. Kelly tell The Blast Joycelyn Savage was flown out to Tulsa, Oklahoma for a meeting with Kelly in 2015.

She was an adult at the time, but was an aspiring singer and was offered a chance to perform for the R&B star during a private meetup. We’re told Kelly’s ex-employee, Cheryl Mack, arranged the flight for Savage out to Oklahoma on the singer’s dime.

In The Hotel Room

We’re told once in Oklahoma, Joycelyn met with Kelly in a hotel room and sang for him. She was also told to disrobe down to her underwear and walk around the room for Kelly, who eventually made a move on the girl.

We’re told Savage later confided in at least two friends, including her voice coach and the woman’s son, that Kelly forced her onto the bed and sexually assaulted her, but she did not want to go to the authorities about the situation.

The voice coach and her son ended up telling Joycelyn’s family about the incident, and an intervention was staged to try and convince the girl to stop interacting with Kelly. However, it did not work and Joycelyn soon took off to be with the singer full time.

We’re told the two friends met with federal investigators this week and provided evidence regarding the interaction with Joycelyn. One of those pieces of evidence is an audio recording of a phone call between Joycelyn and the voice coach where the young girl describes the control Kelly has taken over her life. The voice coach is also in possession of a three way call between herself, Joycelyn and Kelly where the singer critiques the girl’s voice and discusses her future career.

The Savage Family Has Receipts

We’re told the Savage family has provided copies of the plane tickets allegedly purchased by Cheryl Mack to the investigating team. As we reported, federal investigators are targeting Kelly’s circle of enablers, as well as the singer himself.

During his interview with Gayle King, Kelly claimed he did not take advantage of Joycelyn by pretending to nurture her as a singer, but explained they met because she was a fan.

As for the alleged sexual assault, we’re told Joycelyn’s family wanted to press criminal charges with law enforcement in Tulsa, but because Joycelyn was the only witness, and she made it clear she would not cooperate, they were unable to pursue criminal action.

Joycelyn spoke with her parents recently on the phone, but once again the family believes Kelly was controlling that conversation from behind the scenes.

Her parents are hopeful for a face to face meeting with their daughter soon, but also believe the evidence and eyewitness testimony from their daughter’s voice coach, and her son, will help strengthen the case being built by officials and result in a criminal indictment.

Clary Called The Public “Ignorant”

Earlier in the interview, Clary was seen crying and calling everyone “f*****g ignorant” if they believed she was being brainwashed.

“I am crying because you guys don’t know the truth. You guys believe in some f*****g facade that our parents are saying for money. If you can’t see that then you’re ignorant and you’re stupid!” she screamed as Savage tried to calm her down.

R Kelly Was “Lurking”

After the interview aired on CBS, King revealed that Kelly had been lurking behind Savage and Clary as they spoke. This despite his team telling her crew that he would not be in the room.

R&B superstar R. Kelly claimed the parents of the two young women he is accused of kidnapping “sold” them to him. Kelly, shouted, screamed and cried while being interviewed by Gayle King for CBS News.

He also vehemently denied he was a pedophile in an a explosive sit-down that aired on Wednesday.

He Wanted To Address The “Lies”

The astonishing interview came without promotion as shocked viewers tuned in to hear what Kelly had to say. The Ignition singer says he decided to speak out to clear up the “lies” against him pending his next court appearance on child sex abuse charges.

The 52-year-old is facing 70 years imprisonment if convicted on the four counts he is accused of. Three of his four alleged victims were underage when he allegedly slept with them. The incidents happened between 1998 and 2010.

He Described Clary And Savage As His “Girlfriends”

In one shocking moment in the jaw-dropping interview, Kelly had to be restrained by his publicist. He broke down in tears as he declared that he was “fighting for his life.”

Kelly was also asked about the nature of his relationship with Azriel Clary, 21, and Joycelyn Savage, 23. He described them both as his “girlfriends.” However both of the women’s families claim he brainwashed them after meeting them at concerts. Kelly first met Clary when she was 17, after he pulled her onto the stage with him. He also reportedly met Savage backstage at a different show with her mother. Savage was 19.

King asked him: “What kind of love is it that keeps these young women away from their families?” Kelly replied: “I’m going answer your question — what kind of father, what kind of mother would sell their daughter to a man?”

He Denied Having Sex With Underage Girls

Kelly continued: “How come it was okay for me to see them until they wasn’t getting no money from me? Why would you take your daughter — if I were going to take my daughter and she’s 19 years old to a 49-year-old icon whatever, celebrity, R. Kelly concert?”

King then asked: “You’re saying the parents handed their daughters, Azriel and Jocelyn, over you to? That’s what you’re saying?'” Kelly replied: “Absolutely. Are the cameras still going? Absolutely.” Kelly also claimed to never focus on how much younger his girlfriends are. He was just happy that they were “legal.”

“I don’t look at much younger than me, I just look at legal. I just look at you’re you and I am me.”

“They’re Lying On Me”

R Kelly did this to me.’ If you get any traction from that, if you are able to write a book from that, if you can get a reality show then any girl that I had a relationship with in the past that it just didn’t work out, she can come and say the same exact thing,” he said.

Kellz apparently contacted TMZ to drop a few dimes on them about what he says are the real motives behind Joycelyn’s parents sparking those now infamous ‘sex cult’ rumors:

Via TMZ– R. Kelly’s had enough with accusations he’s holding women hostage to serve as his sex slaves … straight-up saying it’s all just a ploy to get into his pockets and tarnish his legacy. R. Kelly tells TMZ … allegations he brainwashed Joycelyn Savage and held her and others captive to be part of a sex cult is a false narrative conjured up by Joycelyn’s father and mother who are sour after the singer turned down their services.

The singer tells us Joycelyn’s father, Timothy, tried getting his attention through Joycelyn about herself and other relatives he thought could have a singing career. When that plan didn’t pan out, Kelly says Timothy fabricated stories — including sex cult tales — and demanded money.

Kelly also points to Joycelyn’s mother, Jonjelyn, getting upset Kelly’s backup dancers didn’t use Jonjelyn’s dresses for his tour. Kelly says Jonjelyn owns a clothing boutique she was trying to get off the ground. What’s more … the singer says Joycelyn’s parents’ claims their daughter was held against her will doesn’t add up, since her mother had previously and on numerous occasions visited Kelly’s place.

In August 2017, Mr. and Mrs. Savage found an attorney to take on their case to fight to forcibly get their adult daughter to return home- a place where Jocelyn has stated on camera she doesn’t wanna be, due to issues she has with her parents.

Via TMZ: Joycelyn Savage’s parents have hired attorneys Gerald A. Griggs and Leif Howard in their “effort to seek the safe return” of their daughter from the singer. […] According to Griggs … the plan is to make contact with R. Kelly’s reps and work with them to get Joycelyn back to her family, even though she is an adult.

Jocelyn’s dad accused R. Kelly of preying on young girls and turning them into ‘sex slaves,’ but he has no evidence to back that up regarding his 22 year old daughter.

True, Kelly may (or may not) prefer to spit game to young naive women, but the keyword here is ‘women,’ which are the only females police have recently found living at Kelly’s homes- all of whom reportedly say they want to be there. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Kellz may be guilty of something, but when it comes to Joycelyn Savage, that ain’t it, because there seems to be no wrongdoing there. Thoughts ILOSM fam?

So who’s the mystery lady R. Kelly was spotted frolicking with at a mall, you ask? She’s not so mysterious after all, because she’s none other than Joycelyn Savage. Remember her? She’s the 22 year old woman, who’s parents recently sparked the ‘sex cult’ scandal, after going to the press, claiming that Kelly was holding their daughter hostage as a ‘sex slave.’ At that time, Joycelyn immediately released video messages, confirming that R. Kelly was not holding her hostage and it was also revealed that her father actually sent her to live with Kellz a while back… **Scroll down for new video of them together**

During the time of her video message, Joycelyn did not want to reveal where she was living, because she didn’t want her parents to go searching for her. But obviously there’s no need for them to search any further, because it doesn’t take rocket science to figure out that wherever Kellz is at, she’s probably somewhere nearby. Matter of fact, below is new footage of Joycelyn getting affectionate with Kellz, who decided to take his young boo-thang on a shopping trip on April 28th…

They Were A Happy Trio

The interesting part about this, is that it was just in November 2017, that Joycelyn showed up to Snoop Dogg’s and his wife, Shante’s, party, along with R. Kelly and his then 22 year old girlfriend, Halle Calhoun (whom he’s since broken up with). Joycelyn was photo’d chuckling with R. Kelly and Halle, having a blast at the party, looking anything BUT a ‘sex slave.’

Wikipedia’s definition of sex slavery, is listed as ‘a particular form of enslavement which includes limitations on one’s autonomy, freedom of movement and power to decide matters relating to one’s sexual activity. Thus, the crime also includes forced marriages, domestic servitude or other forced labor that ultimately involves forced sexual activity.’

Based on the lovey dovey neck rubbing Kelly and Joycelyn Savage were doing in that mall video, they didn’t seem to fit the definition of captor and slave. Now, if there are any other women who are being held captive under R. Kelly’s hold, that remains to be seen, but we’ll definitely keep y’all posted.

Bad news for Ms. Savage’s parents: Bottom line is, she may be young, but she’s grown enough to make her own decisions, so there’s nothing her parents can do about that. Moving on…

Accuser’s Secret Recording Surfaces

That mall trip video surfaces days after a secret phone conversation surfaced of Kelly and a 20 year old woman going by the name, “Jane Doe.” The woman also filed a lawsuit against Kelly, claiming he got her drunk and high, then gave her an STD when she was 19. She secretly recorded a phone convo’ of herself and Kellz in an unsuccessful attempt to get Kellz to admit something, but it was evident that Kelly knows how to be careful in such situations. Don’t know if he’s hiding something or not, but their recording proved nothing, other than the fact that they clearly know each other that Kellz was telling her she needs to get her mind right regarding her claims. And the saga continues.
