R&B songstress, Kelly Price, is beaming with pride for several reasons. In 2015, Jeffrey Jr. made his acting debut when he snagged a role in the film, Double Play. Prior to his film debut, Jeff has been involved in theatrical works with years of experience in community-based plays, school plays, and original stage plays. Today, he’s still gettin’ his acting on and currently starring in the theatrical play, “Costa Mesa Playhouse.” Kelly’s oftentimes takes to social media to express how proud she is of her son for pursuing his acting goals. Jeffrey Jr. has three little girls- Lelah, Sydnee, and Charlie- with his wife, Courtney Rolle. Kelly Price is hella proud of the man he’s become and his dedication toward his children and his wife.

This past Father’s Day, in June 2018, Jeffrey Jr. got a touching surprise from his two eldest girls, during a video tribute via SoulPancake. His lil’ princesses, spoke their own words of praise for their daddy and it clearly caught him off guard and it brought him to tears. The thing that’s respectable about Kelly’s son, is that he manned up to his responsibilities as a father and a husband and is still going strong. You see, Jeffrey Jr. became a father at the young age of 19. Now, let me first say that I was never really big on congratulating a parent for doing what he/she is supposed to do as a parent. However, we all know that far too often, we hear about young fathers ultimately not being mature enough to take care of their child and saying ‘peace out’ to their seeds and the mother. So for that reason, I think Jeffrey Jr. still deserves his props.

The “Heartbreak Hotel” singer has confirmed there’s nothing casual about her relationship with Terrell. The two are, indeed, in a committed relationship.

Kelly P: “I am excited about my relationship with Terrell. I wasn’t looking for love. Neither of us was. I’d been in the same relationship since I was 16. We were both dating other people when we met. I was having a GREAT time dating, being single and having ‘suitors’ after nearly 24 years of marriage.”

From Friends To Lovers:

Kelly went on to explain how the relationship evolved over time. Their friendship led to the birth of an amazing bond and they both decided to take a chance with going to the next level:

“We were friends first and developed an incredible bond inside of that friendship and, at some point, it changed for both of us. It was unexpected but we both knew that something changed so we decided to give love with a friend a chance to thrive. I’m glad we did.”

Ever since Kelly Price filed for divorce a couple years ago, she’s been living a life of happiness and taking on new journeys. She’s got a new man (see him on pg. 2), her career is still going strong, and she’s got a new body. So, what does Kelly Price have to say about all of the chatter? As expected, she’s quite ticked and she doesn’t appreciate the criticism. Apparently, Kelly really didn’t get the memo. She took to Twitter and revealed she was actually unaware that she’d be singing on a gospel stage. The person who booked her has also released a statement explaining the epic blunder.

For Kelly Price and her fam,’ the past couple years have been like a roller coaster ride with a lot of dips, twists, and loops- She’s currently divorcing her ex-manager/husband of 23 years, Jeffrey Rolle, which was a move she said was inspired after the sad passing of her sister. She also revealed that she’d gained a good deal of weight while grieving her sister over the past year, but she later revealed that she has since lost the weight and has regained control of her life throughout all of her heartache.

And now she has this issue- the landlord of she and her husband’s former L.A. crib kicked out her husband and her daughter a few months ago after Kelly left Jeffrey and the landlord also filed a lawsuit against them in early March after he claimed that they’d trashed the place. The estimate cost to repair his property was $100,000 and according to DSK, on March 22, 2015, the landlord won the case.

The home in question is the L.A. home that was featured on the first season of “R&B Divas Los Angeles,” where Kelly and her husband were filmed.

So 2 days ago, one of the best songbirds to EVER do it hit Instagram and Facebook with cap and gown to announce to everyone that she is now Dr. Kelly C. Price! Well that is awesome, as were just as shocked to find that she had decided to further her education by continuing on to acquire a doctorate, we were just as shocked to see her fans slam her major accomplishment. Soon after posting her accomplishments, fans started to question Ms. Price about if she in fact were a Doctor or if she had even attended school at all, and some folks even politely asked that she not refer to herself as a doctor at all, because in fact she was not.

Here’s the story, it seems Kelly Price did not actually attend the school that she announced on her Facebook and Instagram pages, which was the Global Oved Dei Seminary in Florida. She did receive a degree from the school, but it was an “honorary degree”. So like some fans are saying, that her post is very misleading and people believe that she actually earned an academic degree, but in fact it was an honorary degree.  One fan, @phdbeauty said;

I’d just like @mskellyprice to change this post to indicate the degree is honorary. The recognition is great for her musical and philanthropic work, but that’s not the same as someone that took the time to earn a degree with 60 plus hours of coursework, designing and conducting research study, collecting and examining data, and writing 5-6 chapter of dissertation.

It is a feel good moment to see Kelly Price working hard and even in the midst of a messy divorce, and she lost her beloved sister last year, it was good seeing her in such a positive light. The fact is, receiving an honorary degree is positive, and it is an accomplishment that should be praised, as her work and efforts have earned her that honorary degree. So should she be slighted for such a grand accomplishment?
