Drake is one of those celebrities who seems to be showing up in our timelines every day. Recently, he’s been partying with the Toronto Raptors, since they clinched their first championship title. However, Drake’s time for celebrating may be coming to a halt very soon…if one accuser has her way.

Guess Who’s Back?

All right y’all, there’s a lot going on here, so let’s unpack it together. In 2017, Instagram model, Layla Lace (born Laquana Morris), alleged that Drake impregnated her after they hooked up, following his concert in Manchester, UK. She also claimed that when she attempted to reach out to him, after telling him she was expecting, Drake stopped all communication with her.

After hiring a lawyer, Lace then alleged that during their one-night stand, Drake had instead raped her. Drake countered her ‘suit with one of his own- suing Lace for civil extortion, fraud, emotional distress, abuse of process and defamation. He admitted the two of them had unprotected sex, but it was consensual.  He also furnished text messages that painted Lace as an obsessed fan.

Things further fell apart when Lace refused to submit to a paternity test. Eventually, it was allegedly discovered that Lace wasn’t even pregnant! Once the smoke had cleared around the entire situation, both Drake and Lace settled their lawsuits privately. At the time, Drake’s lawyer told TMZ (via Rolling Stone):

“The filing made by Drake against Layla Lace has been resolved, with Layla avoiding going to trial by agreeing to a stipulated judgment which prohibits her from repeating past statements she made against Drake.”

Hip Hop pioneer, Andre ‘Dr. Dre’ Young, is a beast when it comes to music production and business. Years after his time in the iconic rap group, N.W.A, he found further solo success with 1992’s, The Chronic, and 1999’s, 2001. Dre’s been a hitmaker for the majority of his career, though his character has come into question on numerous occasions.

Details Of Employee’s Lawsuit

Although Dre has been credited for helping launch the careers of fellow rappers, Snoop Dogg and Eminem, he’s also had strong allegations thrown at him for past bad behavior. Now those allegations have extended over to people on his payroll, as has been revealed by his former employees in a new lawsuit.

The Blast reports that Dre and his wife, Nicole Young, are being sued by their former employees, Ines Cornejo and Diana Brenes, for shocking work conditions and very little pay:

Cornejo says she worked for the Youngs from September 2015 through September 2018. She says her position was as a laundress — and apparently the family had a lot of laundry to do because Cornejo says she was provided only a few minutes to eat during her shift.

She also says her meal breaks were often later in her shift and were frequently interrupted or cut short entirely. Cornejo also claims she was not given rest breaks or paid for the rest breaks she was not given, as the law dictates.

Brenes, who worked for the Youngs from 2010 until 2017, has made similar claims. However, Brenes claims her meal breaks were cut short, by the Youngs request, to immediately begin working again. The two women are suing the Youngs for failure to provide meal and rest periods, as well as several other labor violations. Dre and his wife Nicole, have yet to comment on the allegations. There’s another legal battle certain to add more stress to R. Kelly’s life. He’s currently being sued by the husband of one of his alleged former lovers. And this matter may be settled first before the other cases.

Husband Claims Wife Had Affair With R. Kelly

In this latest tale of twisted tomfoolery we’re introduced to Asia Childress and her ex-husband, Mississippi sheriff, Kenny Bryant. The couple married in 2012, and at the time, Bryant knew of Childress’ prior involvement with Kelly. He thought it was over, but soon found out the hard way about Kelly’s reported ‘power over women.’ Though Kelly and Childress reportedly ended their relationship, prior to her marriage in July 2012, three months later -in October- Bryant claims that his wife, Childress, attended one of Kelly’s concerts, which allegedly lead to an affair that went on for five years.

This entire situation began when 50 shared pics from a sex tape leaked by Teairra’s ex-boyfriend. What happened next was one of the most epic trolling battles in Hip Hop history. As we previously reported, one of the most hilarious moments in their ongoing battle was when 50 and his legal team requested Teairra’s presence in court and she gave the most suspect reason for not being able to do so.

Teairra had previously told the court that she would not be able to attend their recently scheduled court hearing, because she had to attend her Grandfather’s funeral. During that particular hearing, a financial examination of Teairra’s income was set to take place, in efforts for 50 to collect the $30,000 she owes him.

50 Cent now believes Teairra is lying about having to attend her Grandfather’s funeral, which coincidentally was said to have been scheduled on the the same day as their court hearing.

Eventually she showed up to hand over her legal documents, detailing her income and financial struggles. But since 50 is the King of Trolls he didn’t care about what she had or didn’t have. He wanted his money. And now, in another chapter of their case a decision has been made on when he’ll be getting it.

Unfortunately for Manhattan resident Carmen Marrero she found out the hard way. The incident took place in January while Kevin was promoting his film The Upside. As he was leaving an event Marerro claims that she just so happened to cross paths with Kevin and his security team. In an attempt to clear a path for his Kevin’s team began pushing people out of the way. Marrero was knocked to the ground and when she got back up she noticed that something was terribly wrong.

And according to her own statements 50 may want to change her ringtone to Aloe Blacc’s ‘I Need A Dollar’ because, apparently, she really ain’t got it.

Last month Teairra sat down with The Breakfast Club to discuss her feud with 50 and host Charlemagne noticed she appeared shook. He even posted this with calls for prayers from his followers.

That may not have been worry though. It was probably the nervousness most people experience when they know they owe money and don’t have it (hence her 50-related catchphrase ‘I Ain’t Got It’). However, regardless of what she has in her bank account 50 has continued picking at her and now, according to The Blast, documents provided to the courts reveal exactly what’s going on with Teairra’s finances. And the answer is; Not a damn thing!

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, 50 Cent is demanding a judge step in and handle Marí because the reality star has been avoiding paying him the $30,000 she owes in attorney fees.

50 is also asking for an additional $25,000 for alleged legal games. Marí finally showed up to court last month and handed over documents as part of a financial examination.

During the examination, Marí allegedly claimed she is “broke broke,” and unable to cover the payment.

Last month Remy and Taylor allegedly got into a physical altercation backstage at a charity event in New York City. Following the incident Taylor took to social media to show everyone her lumped up face, pointing the finger directly at Remy to inform everyone she was the one who did it to her.

Subsequently, in an effort to take responsibility for her actions Remy turned herself in. If she was hoping for a quick resolution, though, that clearly isn’t about to happen. And she’s not happy about it at all.

It Started Out Fine

After a nasty court battle fraught with cheating allegations, slander and money grabs Mary J. Blige and Kendu Isaacs divorce was finalized in March of 2018, though that didn’t have anything to do with the Golden Venus lawsuit which has been pending for a few years. It started back in 2015 when Blige and Isaacs agreed to move into a $7.5M six bedroom, eight bathroom mansion at the beautiful Mulholland Estates. Their rental payment was $25,000 per month, to which they agreed to pay faithfully. When their rent went up by $2,000 the following year they paid it for three months and then they stopped paying their rent altogether.

As a measure of good faith they decided they would move out of their home at the Mulholland Estates and asked that their $50,000 security deposit be applied to the money they owed in back rent. However, Golden Ventures claims that once they went to inspect the mansion after Blige and Isaacs’ exit they were amazed by the shape it was left in.

Jennifer Lopez allegedly pulled a fast one in order to get her top rated television show “World of Dance”. Alvin Gray-El is claiming that Jlo stole his idea for the show.

Gray-El is suing J Lo claiming that World of Dance was originally his idea he first pitched. He originally suggested the idea to world renowned choreographer Debbie Allen. In recent documents obtained, Alvin claims that he had faxed Debbie a pitch of his idea back in 2009. His version of the reality show would have been titled, “Let’s Start the Dance.”

The Lawsuit

Debbie Allen never acknowledged nor responded to the fax. Alvin is suing her as well. Fast forward to a year later, documentation shows that Alvin went to the U.S. Copyright Office to register his show idea. However almost 7 years later they responded stating that there was already a similar show on NBC being produced by J Lo.

After hearing the response Alvin supposedly went sent a letter over to NBC. In the letter he claims that he came up with the idea years ago and had even pitched it to Debbie. NBC apparently never responded. What’s crazy is that Debbie has nothing to do with J Lo’s show at all. The lawsuit goes on to with wild assumptions that Debbie had passed along his idea to J Lo. Yet it is still unknown whether Debbie even received the fax in the first place.

Ultimately he is now suing both J Lo and Debbie Allen for $6.5 million in damages.
