For the past few decades, the world has known about the bad-boy ways Bobby Brown once had. He was known for partying like crazy, for his drug and alcohol addictions, his excessive spending habits (i.e. like the times he reportedly used to buy an exotic car in every city he traveled to, drive it, then leave it there).

Even Bobby B. has confessed he was the ultimate bad boy back in the day. So it was only natural that he and his homie, Mike Tyson, linked up back then…because like Bobby, Tyson admittedly had his afflictions, as you all know. In fact, at one point Mike’s afflictions got the best of him one night in 1990, according to Bobby Brown.

In his memoir, ‘Every Little Step,’ Bobby blamed himself for being the reason Tyson shockingly lost his infamous fight to Buster Douglas. See the reasons why that is below…

Via The Judiciary Report: Brown stated in his book that for over 25-years he has blamed himself for Tyson’s loss of the heavyweight championship to boxer Buster Douglas, in a February 11, 1990 bout that was held in Tokyo, Japan. Brown and Tyson partied and had sex with a room full of Japanese prostitutes until 3:00AM in the morning on the day of the fight.

Tyson was exhausted and lacked the aggression that men with pent up sexual energy are said to have, which is thought to be helpful in the boxing ring. Coaches and trainers repeatedly tell boxers to refrain from sex for weeks before fights. The logic behind it is it saves their strength and makes them more aggressive. Tyson disregarded it for the Douglas fight and loss the belts (WBC, WBA and IBF) and millions of dollars in purse money.

Welp, we all live and we learn. And clearly, both Tyson and Brown have learned valuable lessons from their past mistakes.

Rory Holloway, Mike Tyson’s friend and longtime manager, recalled a time in his book, Taming the Beast: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson, where the boxing champ came toe to toe with basketball legend, Michael Jordan. According to Rory, it wasn’t pretty and was about to be a flat out ‘rumble in the jungle’…

That Time Tyson Confronted Jordan Over Robin Givens:

It’s no secret that Mike Tyson had a rough time when he was a boxing champ. The former champ was once married to Robin Givens and they had a rocky relationship. When they divorced in 1989, Tyson was beside himself with grief and he struggled to deal with their separation.

Rory Holloway and Mike developed a relationship while Tyson was learning his craft under Cus D’Amato as a young teenager and Rory  says he was by his side until they fell out in the late 1990s. In his book, he detailed the night he joined Tyson, Michael Jordan, Chicago Bears coach, Mike Ditka, star defensive end, Richard Dent, and boxing promoter, Don King, for dinner at a Chicago restaurant. Holloway wrote that he was trying to help Tyson deal with his separation from Givens because Tyson loved her wasn’t dealing with the divorce well at all.

Worried that things may get problematic, Holloway says he asked the waiter to limit Tyson’s alcohol intake because it was public knowledge that Jordan apparently once dated Givens and Givens was Tyson’s weakness at that time. During the dinner, Tyson confronted Jordan about  dating Robin and that’s when dinner time turned into ‘the clash of the living legends.’ Check out the details below…

Tyson Went Off On Ditka & Jordan, Don King & Manager Intervene

Shocked as hell that Tyson would confront him in that manner, Jordan was quiet and looking for an exit, according to Holloway. Ditka tried to step in to diffuse the situation, but Tyson then stepped to him too and let him know how he really felt about him:

Holloway: Jordan, it’s obvious he just wants to get up and run. He wants no part of this. Mike turns to Ditka. ‘Man, you think somebody scared of you, all that racist s–t you been talking?’ He says to Dent, ‘Y’all scared of this damn white man, Richard? He ain’t nobody. You gonna let him talk that way?’

Holloway said that at that time, Tyson’s temper was explosive and he’d had become a bit of a chaperone for Mike. That night was crazy and from the sounds of it, Jordan is lucky Mike didn’t kill him. Despite the fact that Jordan reportedly dated Givens before Mike, Rory said Tyson still was bothered by them being together:

 Holloway: It was a circus, for real, that night. Don King trying to change the subject. Me and John trying to hold Mike down. Mike telling everyone he’s going to bust Jordan’s ass. Jordan’s dressed sharp as always and he can’t get out of there fast enough.

As y’all can pretty much imagine, that was a big fiasco…all over Tyson’s love for one woman- Robin. As a reminder of how rocky their marriage was, here’s a brief recap of it: Mike Tyson and Robin Givens married on February 7, 1988.  Tyson has oftentimes painted Givens as a gold digger, while Givens alleged that Tyson was abusive towards her. We all remember that awkward 1988 interview Tyson and Givens did with Barbara Walters… Givens claimed that Tyson had a volatile temper and was scary to be around.

“He’s got a side to him that’s scary,” Givens shared with Walters. “Michael is intimidating, to say the least. I think there’s a time when he cannot control his temper. And that’s frightening to me. To my mother. To anyone around.”

Although Givens claims were never proven,  she filed for divorce soon after that interview. Tyson later revealed that they still continued dating each other after the divorce, which was officially finalized on Valentine’s Day in 1989.

Rory Holloway: “I was there to keep Mike out of trouble, doing my usual babysitting job, and when I looked over, he was talking to this girl,” Holloway wrote. I had to rub my eyes. I mean, the most exciting thing at that time was Naomi Campbell. She was wild and vivacious, with these legs that went on for days.”

Like Tyson, Campbell was rich, famous, and wild. But in recent years, Mike Tyson spoke out about his childhood, and it may offer clarity about his adult life, including the turbulent past relationships he’s had with his exes.

According to New York Daily News, Tyson sat down for an interview with ESPN’s, Jeremy Schapp, where he shared details about his childhood. Tyson revealed he was a victim of sexual abuse as a child:

“Well I don’t like to talk about that, I like to keep that where it was in the past, but I was molested as a child,” Tyson said. “It was no one’s business to know, people just don’t talk about it because to some people they believe it’s demasculating them,” Tyson said. “I learned that it doesn’t make you any less of a man because it happened,” Tyson said.

Tyson also did a prior ESPN interview…appearing on Barstool Sports,’ Pardon My Take, podcast. That’s when he offered his opinion of the then-upcoming boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and MMA fighter, Connor McGregor, which McGregor lost of course:

“McGregor is going to get killed boxing,” Tyson said. “I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy? Remember singer, B. Angie B.? In the wake of the controversy surrounding the controversial Leaving Neverland documentary, Michael Jackson’s big sis,’ La Toya Jackson, seems to be having a nostalgic moment about her painful abusive past, when she was also the ostracized member of the Jackson fam.’

Most of us, Old Schoolers, remember when La Toya went on a media blitz to accuse Michael of being a child abuser in 1992. She claimed and their pops, Joe Jackson, sexually, physically, and emotionally abused her and sister, Rebbie- all of which the Jacksons denied.

At that time, everybody and their mommas thought La Toya had lost her ever-lovin’ mind, because she’d become an uncharacteristic version of the ‘La Toya’ that fans had known. Nonetheless, years later La Toya confessed that she’d outright lied on her fam’ because her then ‘abusive’ husband/manager, Jack Gordon (pictured above), forced her to do so.

Fast forward to decades later in 2019, when La Toya (64) shared another horrible experience about her abuse, along with visual proof, and we give her props for speaking out…

In a prior emotional Instagram post, La Toya shared a throwback photo of herself with two black eyes, which were presumably from her abusive marriage to Jack Gordon from 1989 to 1997. In her photo caption, La Toya expressed gratitude for making it through that time in her life and encouraged anyone who needed to hear that message to do the same:

“Freedom is extremely important to me, simply because I thought there was a time that I wouldn’t exist. I wasn’t able to be myself and express myself, I was beaten, I was dictated to and told exactly what to say to the Media and how, or else…. I simply wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone, read or even watch-television. I didn’t even know how to use a cell phone or computer because he didn’t want me to gain knowledge from the outside world. I wasn’t privy to it.

I’m simply urging you to take control of your life and not allow anyone and I do mean ANYONE to control you.
My inexperience of not knowing how Manipulative, Conniving and Controlling people can enter one’s life is DEVASTATING! I’m passing on my experience to you and I hope you get some Wisdom and [Understanding] out of this! And simply allow this NOT to happen to you!

Husband Tried To Pimp Her Out To Tyson?!!

In 2011, La Toya shocked the hell outta everybody when she appeared on The Talk daytime show and revealed that Gordon once tried to sell her for sex to Mike Tyson for $100,000.00:

“Mike Tyson later told my mother and father and some other friends that he (Gordon) had told him that if he wanted to sleep with me he has to pay $100,000,” La Toya told the shocked audience.

She also said her ex-husband forced her to have group sex and more:

“I was in brothels and everything. He put me(it was) everything I was against. He made me do Playboy twice and had me sit on the stage and say ‘Oh no, it was all my idea … And I had to do that because I knew what he said he would do, he would do it,” La Toya confessed.

Years later, she says she saw a lot of similarities between her past abusive marriage and the controlling situation Michael was in when he passed:

“In the last days, I found my brother being in that same situation as I was in. I was fortunate enough to get away and start over but unfortunately he was not. It was really heartbreaking.”

Seems like La Toya Jackson has grown a lot from her past. Hopefully, her story will help someone else who may be going through a similar abusive situation.

“McGregor is going to get killed boxing,” Tyson said. “I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy? McConor (sic) put his dumba– in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby. McConor (sic) can’t kick and grab and stuff so he won’t stand much of a chance.”

As you can see, Tyson’s still got his outspoken opinions and magnetic personality that millions of fans have grown to love. It’s just sad that he had to endure the abuse he endured as a child, however it’s a beautiful to see that he didn’t allow the sick actions of his abuser to break his spirit, nor his will to attain a high level of greatness that very few people ever get to see.

Beverly Johnson (68) is more than just talented. In addition to being a known supermodel, actress, singer, and businesswoman, she’s is strikingly beautiful. For more than 40 years, Beverly has turned the heads of men everywhere -both young and old. But over the years, she’s done much more than turn heads. In fact, she actually shared details about her encounters with men in her memoir, The Face That Changed It All. Apparently, Beverly has had some very wild rendezvous’ with some of the world’s biggest entertainers.

The Long List of Men:

Although Beverly is a lot more tamed down these days, she was quite different in her younger years. In her memoir, she admitted she was carefree back in the day. From Arthur Ashe to Eddie Murphy, Beverly had encounters with many big names in Hollywood.

Dustin Hoffman Was Her Favorite

The legendary supermodel wrote that she was “constantly being wined and dined by Dustin Hoffman, Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson and Robert Evans.” But despite all the attention, she admitted Dustin Hoffman was her “favorite because he was just so cute and always told the corniest jokes,” according to the New York Post. Although she wasn’t sexually involved with all of the men she named, but there were a few she did have wild nights with –  namely Arthur Ashe and Mike Tyson.

Her Arthur Ashe Rendezvous

In the memoir, Beverly revealed things were pretty heated between she and the iconic tennis star. After winning Wimbledon in 1975, Arthur asked Beverly out on a date and that’s how it all started:

“We had all-night lovemaking sessions,” she wrote of Arthur Ashe. “I was forced to pull out a bigger book of tricks to help him get to the point of no return sooner, or risk some serious health issues of my own. Swinging from the chandelier [every night we spent together] was taking its toll on my well-being.”

Enticing Motivation For Tyson:

Apparently, her involvement with Mike Tyson started with a phone conversation and a bold statement Beverly blurted out. In the memoir, she even opened up about a conversation she had with Mike Tyson right before a fight. At the age of 20, Mike was knocking out competitors left and right, but what Beverly blurted out may have only added fuel to his fire. She revealed she told Mike, “If you win, I’ll give you some.” As expected, Mike went on to win the fight becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in the history of boxing. Just 19 hours after winning the fight, he was knocking on the then 35-year-old Ms. Johnson’s door:

“Our first time together was nice, if not the most passionate of nights I’d experienced with a man,” she wrote. “Mike was young and still learning how to please a woman, but I very much enjoyed it anyway. Mike was so full of excitement and vigor that it was actually contagious.”

Tyson’s Eye For Beautiful Women:

After months of dating, Mike and Beverly ended their relationship and mutually decided to remain friends. But the boxing champ didn’t stop there. One night at a Russell Simmons party, Mike laid eyes on Naomi Campbell. His ex-manager, Rory Holloway, revealed things moved quite fast from that point on and that shortly after meeting, Mike and Naomi ended up in a bathroom stall and most people probably know exactly what happened. It looks like things heat up quick where the rich and famous are concerned!

Beverly Done Moved On:

In 2019, Beverly became a newly engaged woman at the tender age of 67. She and her fiancé/Wall Street financier, Brian Maillian, are living poof that it’s never too late to find love. Best wishes to them and their union.

Rory Holloway, Mike Tyson’s friend and longtime manager, recalled a time in his book, Taming the Beast: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson, where the boxing champ came toe to toe with basketball legend, Michael Jordan. According to Rory, it wasn’t pretty and was about to be a flat out ‘rumble in the jungle’…

That Time Tyson Confronted Jordan Over Robin Givens:

It’s no secret that Mike Tyson had a rough time when he was a boxing champ. The former champ was once married to Robin Givens and they had a rocky relationship. When they divorced in 1989, Tyson was beside himself with grief and he struggled to deal with their separation.

Rory Holloway and Mike developed a relationship while Tyson was learning his craft under Cus D’Amato as a young teenager and Rory  says he was by his side until they fell out in the late 1990s. In his book, he detailed the night he joined Tyson, Michael Jordan, Chicago Bears coach, Mike Ditka, star defensive end, Richard Dent, and boxing promoter, Don King, for dinner at a Chicago restaurant. Holloway wrote that he was trying to help Tyson deal with his separation from Givens because Tyson loved her wasn’t dealing with the divorce well at all.

Worried that things may get problematic, Holloway says he asked the waiter to limit Tyson’s alcohol intake because it was public knowledge that Jordan apparently once dated Givens and Givens was Tyson’s weakness at that time. During the dinner, Tyson confronted Jordan about  dating Robin and that’s when dinner time turned into ‘the clash of the living legends.’ Check out the details below…

Via Taming the Beast: The Untold Story of Mike Tyson: Mike Tyson’s sitting there with his drink of choice, a Long Island Tea, and when he drinks his real feelings come out …, Holloway wrote in his book. I’m telling the server to water his drinks down ‘cause I see where this is going. Mike stares across the table at Michael Jordan. He says, ‘Hey man, you think I’m stupid? I know you f—-d with my b—h.’

Tyson Went Off On Ditka & Jordan, Don King & Manager Intervene

Shocked as hell that Tyson would confront him in that manner, Jordan was quiet and looking for an exit, according to Holloway. Ditka tried to step in to diffuse the situation, but Tyson then stepped to him too and let him know how he really felt about him:

Holloway: Jordan, it’s obvious he just wants to get up and run. He wants no part of this. Mike turns to Ditka. ‘Man, you think somebody scared of you, all that racist s–t you been talking?’ He says to Dent, ‘Y’all scared of this damn white man, Richard? He ain’t nobody. You gonna let him talk that way?’

Holloway said that at that time, Tyson’s temper was explosive and he’d had become a bit of a chaperone for Mike. That night was crazy and from the sounds of it, Jordan is lucky Mike didn’t kill him. Despite the fact that Jordan reportedly dated Givens before Mike, Rory said Tyson still was bothered by them being together:

 Holloway: It was a circus, for real, that night. Don King trying to change the subject. Me and John trying to hold Mike down. Mike telling everyone he’s going to bust Jordan’s ass. Jordan’s dressed sharp as always and he can’t get out of there fast enough.

As y’all can pretty much imagine, that was a big fiasco…all over Tyson’s love for one woman- Robin. As a reminder of how rocky their marriage was, here’s a brief recap of it: Mike Tyson and Robin Givens married on February 7, 1988.  Tyson has oftentimes painted Givens as a gold digger, while Givens alleged that Tyson was abusive towards her. We all remember that awkward 1988 interview Tyson and Givens did with Barbara Walters… Givens claimed that Tyson had a volatile temper and was scary to be around.

“He’s got a side to him that’s scary,” Givens shared with Walters. “Michael is intimidating, to say the least. I think there’s a time when he cannot control his temper. And that’s frightening to me. To my mother. To anyone around.”

Although Givens claims were never proven,  she filed for divorce soon after that interview. Tyson later revealed that they still continued dating each other after the divorce, which was officially finalized on Valentine’s Day in 1989.

Welp, it’s just like the old school saying goes: ‘We live and we learn.’ For the record, it’s good to see that Tyson has long ago gotten over Robin and he’s also now a much more tamed down, down-to-earth, fun-loving dude these days.
