A jury has just convicted Eric Holder of first degree murder in the 2019 killing of Nipsey Hussle. Details are below…

Via Associated Press: Jurors found a 32-year-old man guilty of first-degree murder Wednesday for the 2019 fatal shooting of rapper Nipsey Hussle.

The Los Angeles County jury also found Eric R. Holder Jr. guilty of two counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter instead of two attempted murder counts as prosecutors had sought for two other men who were hit by gunfire at the scene.

Holder, wearing a blue suit and face mask, stood up in the small court room next to his lawyer as the verdict was read. He had no visible reaction.

Jurors deliberated for about six hours over two days before reaching the verdict.

Their was substantial evidence against Holder throughout the trial…ranging from eyewitness accounts, to nearby businesses’ surveillance footage of Holder before, during, and after shooting Nipsey Hussle.

During the trial, Holder’s attorney didn’t even bother to try to convince the jury that Holder was not the shooter, but instead attempted to persuade them to convict him on involuntary manslaughter charges:

Via AP – Holder’s lawyer Aaron Jansen said that being publicly accused of being a “snitch” by a person as prominent as Hussle brought on a “heat of passion” in Holder that made him not guilty of first-degree murder.

“This is a provocation that stirs up rage and powerful emotion,” Jansen told jurors Thursday.

However, the D.A. disagreed with Holder’s attorney, and instead presented a more likely theory, which the jury clearly agreed with:

Via A.P. – Deputy District Attorney John McKinney argued during the trial that Holder and everyone else in the conversation that preceded Hussle’s death were so calm that the “snitching” conversation could not have been the primary motive, and that Holder must have had some previous envy or hatred for Hussle.

McKinney told jurors that the nine minutes between the conversation and the shooting allowed more than enough time for the killing to be premeditated, a requirement for first-degree murder.

As we previously reported, Nipsey was killed outside of his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles, CA. He and Eric Holder were already familiar with one another, having grown up in the same areas in L.A..

Nipsey’s business associate, Herman Douglas, was also at Nipsey’s Marathon Clothing Store that day. He testified to the grand jury that Nipsey was the first one to spot Eric Holder when he and the woman initially pulled up, and asked, “Is that Shitty (Holder’s street name)?”

Their Conversation Was “Non-Confrontational,” Yet Direct

TMZ– Herman describes the conversation between Nipsey and Holder as non-confrontational, but he too says Nipsey told Holder he’d heard rumors about him snitching … and Nipsey advised Holder to take care of it.

Herman says Holder denied it, saying, “Motherf***ers be hating on me.” He says at the end Nipsey and Holder shook hands and parted ways with zero animosity.

Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Nipsey, including his children, his parents, siblings, and fiancee’– actress Lauren London, at this time. May Nipsey Hussle continue to rest in peace and power.

The woman claiming responsibility for being the get-away driver for Nipsey Hussle’s murder suspect, Eric “Sh*tty” Holder, is now in fear for her life and detectives have discovered that she’s in great danger. This comes after the new disheartening details she’s now given about the events before, during, and after Nipsey’s murder. Additionally, Nipsey’s business associate and a detective have both testified in front of a grand jury, with details that support the woman’s claims.

Detective Testifies About Woman’s Safety
According to TMZ, an LAPD detective has informed a grand jury that the female get-away driver, identified in court docs, as “Witness 1,” has serous reason to be concerned about her life:

The detective told the grand jury her license plate was making the rounds on social media shortly after the shooting. Descriptions of her physical appearance and her vehicle were also on the Internet — all of which essentially gave vigilantes a road map to find her.

…The detective said the LAPD decided it was “very important” to place the woman under their protection and possibly move her into hiding. It’s unclear where she is now, or if she accepted the offer for protective custody.

Why Singleton’s Ex Bashed BET’s Tribute…
In case y’all hadn’t heard, one of the mothers of John’s children, model Tosha Lewis (also known as Tosha Riea), took to social media to bash the hell outta the tribute the late Boyz N’ The Hood director legend received on BET. During the BET Awards which aired on Sunday, June 23rd, two potent tributes were paid to two celebs we lost this year. One to late rapper, Nipsey Hussle, and the other to legendary director, John Singleton.

Here’s what Tosha had to say:

“So BET cab take the time to honor Nipsey Hussle and not John Singleton? They’re whole movie line up are John Singleton movies. His movies are in the BEY commercial. They never featured anything Nipsey, but I guess he’s trendy nevermind John was talking and doing the same stuff as Nipsey since the 90’s.”

Many fans agreed with the mother of Singleton’s son, Massai (25), but many others also felt that Nispey deserved an equal shine as well. There’s one person who totally disagrees with Tosha’s statement though- Mama Sheila…and she had a lot to say about it…

Nipsey Hussle is a legend, not only in the hood but around the world. He wasn’t called “Neighborhood Nip” for nothing. Now, his legacy is receiving the Humanitarian Award.

Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom was known around Los Angeles — and now, the world — for his humanitarian spirit.

With that in mind, this year’s Humanitarian Award will go toward uplifting his legacy, which will be presented at the 2019 BET Awards. According to Root, “It’ll be extra special since the award will be presented in his hometown of Los Angeles.”

Connie Orlando, Executive Vice-President, Head of Programming at BET, mentions the following statement in a recent press release:

“As a prolific artist and leader, Nipsey Hussle was zealous about driving change for the betterment of his community, empowering and employing those in need and being an influential and highly respected activist. His passing was a tremendous loss to the entertainment industry and to the culture.”

“We will continue to remember his advocacy and be inspired by the groundwork he set forth and his dire commitment to social change,” the VP says regarding Nipsey. “We are forever grateful, humbled and honored to have experienced his presence and we are invested in doing our part to ensure that the marathon will indeed continue. It is an immense honor for us to recognize him with this year’s Humanitarian Award.”

Another day, another unfortunate battle involving deceased rapper, Nipsey Hussle’s, daughter, Emani; his baby mama, Tanisha Foster; and his family. The tension has now turned all the way up, after a judge presiding over the temporary custody battle for Emani handed down the decision. Apparently, it has a lot to do with not only the care of Nipsey’s 10 year old princess, but also the fate of his estate.

As we previously reported, Tanisha Foster has been battling his sister, Samantha Smith (and his family), over the custody of Emani. Prior to now, Tanisha had no custody of her daughter, who was being raised solely by Nipsey Hussle. That arrangement seemed to have worked just fine for everyone involved, including Emani -who was happy growing up around Nipsey and his family, and seeing her Mother for visits- until now…

On Monday (5/20/2019) the judge apparently agreed with Nipsey’s fam’ and granted Samantha temporary custody of Emani, until the battle over her permanent custody is decided.

As you know, although from the South, Master P’s West Coast connection is deep. But it may have greater depth than we’ve realized — as Nipsey often sought his advice.

In an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Percy “Master P” Miller discussed his brotherly relationship with the late Nipsey Hussle. According to Miller, Hussle — many times — came to him for advice in financial matters, especially contracts.

Master P told Big Boy that he taught Nipsey a lot about independent moves.

“Me and Nipsey we jammed, man,” Master P explains. “I taught him a lot. I looked over a lot of the contracts he had. That’s just how he was. He was like, ‘Big Dog, I need you to see this.’ I’m right there. Our relationship was strong.”

As the intense, yet unfortunate battle over custody of Nipsey Hussle’s 10 year old daughter , Emani Asghedom, continues, there has just been a new legal matter added to the issue…at least for Emani’s mother.

It’s just been reported that Nipsey’s ex, Tanisha Foster, now has a warrant out for her arrest, which will probably be a stumbling block for her the next time she has to surface in court to legally fight Nipsey’s sister, Samantha Smith.

As we previously informed y’all, Tanisha is in the midst of trying to gain custody of the daughter she shares with Nipsey. On the flip side, Nipsey’s family, is backing his sister, Samantha’s, request to be granted full guardianship of Emani. Why? Because prior to Nipsey’s murder in April 2019, he had full custody of Emani, who has maintained a close relationships with his sis,’ as well as his entire family.

As we previously reported, Nipsey had primary custody the daughter he shares with his ex, Tanisha Foster. After he was senselessly killed in April 15th, Nipsey’s sister, Samantha Smith, filed for emergency custody of Emani…but so did Emani’s mother, Tanisha.

Long story short, the Los Angeles’ Department of Children and Family Services stepped in shortly before the emergency placement hearing for Emani was scheduled to take place, in order to determine which household would best serve Emani.

Fast forward to Friday (May 17th) and Tanisha is now claiming that Nipsey’s sister pretty much has stolen Emani from her. Peep the latest on their court battle below:

Via The Blast– Foster states that she is Emani Asghedom’s mother and believes the “Law and Policy of this state favors the protection of the rights of natural parents and their children. Objector has statutory priority over petitioner.”

She claims that Emani was visiting Nipsey Hussle on the day that he was killed and says that Smith “unlawfully took the minor and as of this date, despite objectors demand, refused to return the minor to Objector.”

Foster believes that “the best interests” of Emani are not being served by Smith’s “act of removing the minor from her mother’s custody; and by refusing contact between minor and mother.”

The Marathon Continues

Nipsey Hussle’s final day on his music video set was an inspirational good vibe. Three of the most influential people came together and made history. DJ Khaled and John Legend will be the last people to have ever shot a video with the late and great Nipsey Hussle.

TMZ  released footage of the video, showing Nip, John and Khaled recording the music video. The video was shoot just a few days shy of Nipseys murder outside his Marathon Clothing store in South L.A. The video setting was atop a parking structure the crew rented out in nearby Inglewood.

Chaotic Music Video Set

You might remember it appeared that someone was out to kill Nipsey Hussle just days before he was murdered. The alleged attack was predicted to happen at the video shoot.  The team with him were warned ahead of time and they proceeded with extreme caution to protect him.

Sources on the Inglewood set confessed there was great concern over Nipsey’s safety during the shoot. Primarily the parking structure the crew picked to shoot at. The production team insisted the entire parking structure be shut down. Therefore only people working the shoot would have access.

However production only booked the top two floors of the parking deck. The public was still able to park underneath the top two floors.

The production did step it up by hiring 10 armed police officers because of concerns over Nipsey’s safety. Sources say that the crew and entourage was nervous someone would try to sneak on set and kill the rapper.

Oddly enough just a few days later, Nipsey was gunned down in front of his own storefront. Ironically Nipsey subliminally tweeted about “enemies” just hours before he was killed.

When Christopher Darden- the prosecutor from the 1995 O.J. Simpson trial- decided to take on the case of Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer, Eric Holder, everybody and their Mommas questioned his motives. Many people asked ‘Why in the hell would Darden put himself back into the position of being a ‘sell out’ yet again…didn’t he learn from the O.J. trial?’

Well, as y’all already know, if Darden didn’t get the message back then, he’s apparently received it now, after withdrawing from Holder’s case on Friday, May 10th, citing death threats his family has received from “cowards” online.

Now that his tenure as Holder’s defense attorney is a wrap, the words that his daughter spoke in 2016 have resurfaced, giving insight into what she despised about being the child of Christopher Darden.

Many were already aware of Darden’s daughter’s April 2019 statement, addressing the backlash over his participation in the Nipsey Hussle murder trial. However, it’s her newly resurfaced 2016 confession that let folks know how she REALLY feels about her Pop’s professional decisions and how it tainted her life.
