Just as Bobby Brown gained notoriety from his music, he began to be known for being in and out of jail as the media seemed to capture footage of him in court.

Phaedra Parks has often been criticized for not winning cases. Many people have commented about Parks as an attorney by describing her as mediocre. Brown shared how he felt about Parks in his book, Every Little Step.

Bobby shared how Phaedra seemed to be more concerned with the attention she was receiving as his lawyer, instead of defending him:

“My lawyer at the time was a black woman named Phaedra Parks, who went on to become a reality television star on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Her later television stardom didn’t surprise me because she always seemed like she was craving attention and publicity. Every time I stepped into the courtroom when she was my lawyer, there would always be a host of television cameras. It was as if she had her own traveling media contingent. I even complained to her about it, telling her I didn’t like having the press there everytime I approached the courthouse. But it didn’t seem to deter her.”

“I Usually Wound Up Going To Jail”

Bobby continued by saying:

” I won’t cast aspersions on her lawyering skills, but I will say that when she was my lawyer, I usually wound up going to jail. I haven’t had much luck with my legal representation over the years.”

Maybe Bobby B. felt like Phaedra Parks wasn’t there for him as his attorney…however, she seemed to be there for him as a friend. Phaedra has always spoken highly about Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston. In an interview with OK! magazine, Parks gave Bobby and Whitney credit for her notoriety as people often referred to her as the ” Bobby and Whitney lawyer”:

“I always loved Whitney, I’ll always credit her and Bobby for a very important part of my career and for my notoriety. Because a lot of the time when people hear Phaedra Parks, the first thing they say is Bobby and Whitney, that’s the Bobby and Whitney attorney, Parks shared.”

At the time of Whitney Houston’s death, Phaedra revealed that Whitney actually retained her as Bobby’s lawyer because she heard that Phaedra was the best attorney in Atlanta. After their first meeting at the Ritz Carlton, they talked for hours and eventually, Parks became Bobby’s lawyer. Phaedra went on to work with the couple for 7 years. While they didn’t always agree, Phaedra maintained that they loved each other:

“She said to meet her at the Ritz Carlton. I met her and we spoke for probably 3 or 4 hours and later I would meet Bobby, she hired me and 7 years later… I worked with them throughout the divorce and everything. We didn’t always see eye to eye on things but she was very good to me. Her family has been very good to me. His family has been very good to me. I consider them very good friends and I’ve seen them at their best and I’ve seen them at their worst but I just love her, I love Bobbi Kiristina.”

Every Little Step was published in June 2016 and resurfaced amid the bubbling hype surrounding Bobby’s 2018 BET biopic. With all the years that he worked with Parks, it’s safe to say that she could’ve possibly been featured in the movie…but after hearing what Bobby B. had to say about her lawyering skills, she may not have been depicted very well. As previously reported by ILOSM, Apollo Nida is back in prison after his recent release. But no one knew why…until now. Allegedly, this was the mysterious rule he broke.

People have gone from scratching their heads to shaking them in discouragement after finally learning of the specific rule Apollo Nida broke during his time at the Philadelphia halfway house. Due to his alleged lack of willpower, it seems he might stay the rest of his original sentence, October 15.

According to Atlanta Black Star, publication Sandra Rose found out new information regarding Apollo Nida’s arrest. Allegedly, while at the halfway house, he engaged in “intimate relations” with another person. The source says that, as his agreement to stay at the house, “intimate relations” wasn’t part of the can-do list.

Actually, it was specifically on the don’t-do list. And allegedly, he did it anyway (face palm). In a previous ILOSM article, we mentioned that Apollo Nida was locked up on June 13.

Yes, you read right. Apollo Nida is reportedly back in prison. He was just released last week, and now he’s back in custody. Allegedly, here’s what happened.

According to news from Bravo TV, Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Phaedra Parks is probably shaking her head right now. The source says Apollo Nida, Parks’ ex-husband, taken back into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service. Reportedly, a representative from the U.S. Marshals Service confirmed. The representative reportedly mentions as follows:

“He was taken back into custody. I wouldn’t say it was an arrest because it’s not a new charge. It was an order of the court to bring him into custody. We took him to Federal Bureau of Prisons and they will deal with it since he was in their custody.”

Apparently, according to the rep, Apollo basically violated a technical condition of his release. While the terms of that violation are unclear, he’s definitely locked up.

An Explosive Ending

Many viewers will recall the tense moment between Apollo and Phaedra when it was evident their marriage was over. In 2014 Apollo, who was under investigation for fraud at the time, got into a heated argument with Phaedra while the RHOA cameras were rolling. And things took a turn for the worse very quickly.

Soon after, Apollo finally reported to Fort Dix Correctional Facility in New Jersey to start his bid. Although he and Phaedra’s divorce was finalized in 2017  he eventually found love once again with Sherien Almufti while incarcerated. The two have been engaged since 2016 and will probably marry soon since Apollo is now a free man. Though there’s still one final step to complete before he can really close the book on this chapter.

Oh wow, Phaedra. As it seems, Apollo Nida’s prison sentence is sooner coming to an end than expected. Here are the details so far.

If you remember, in July 2014, Phaedra Parks‘ ex — Apollo — was sentenced to 8 years in prison on one count of bank fraud conspiracy. As reports E! Online, a new judgment by United States District Judge Charles Pannell, Jr. was filed on Tuesday, March 26.

According to the source, Nida’s sentence was reduced to 84 months “with credit to be given by the Bureau of prisons for all time served,” basically a year less than the previous 96-month sentence initially received.

However, Apollo’s not totally out the gate yet. A court document was obtained by E! News, and mentioned that “all other terms of the sentence imposed by this court on July 8, 2014 shall remain unaffected by this order.”

After recent kissy-face photos and a flirty interview on Watch What Happens Live aired with Shemar and Phaedra getting “closer than close” like Teddy P., everybody assumed they are now dating.

Prior to now, Shemar addressed the dating rumors. In his new video rant though, he started off by saying his message is for “everybody else out there talking sh*t about me, here we go…” Then he jumped right into the illusions that Phaedra gave on IG, and also the illusion they both displayed on WWHL. Basically, it was just that- an illusion- at least according to Shemar:

Recap of Phaedra’s Fibs

Most RHOA watchers know all about the ‘drugging/raping’ story that Phaedra repeatedly stuck with throughout last season on the show. She instigated the story via cast mate/friend, Porsha Williams, who fell for the sauce Phaedra was serving her. In case you’re not familiar, let me quickly feel you in: Phaedra told Porsha that Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, made plans to drug and then rape Porsha inside of their ‘sex dungeon’ at their Atlanta home. During the RHOA reunion, fans watched in shock as Phaedra was busted in her story by Porsha and that’s when a few other lies Phaedra instigated about Kandi had also surfaced.

The Consequences

By telling such astronomical lies on Kandi, it not only put Phaedra’s credibility as an attorney at risk, but it almost put the Bravo TV network and the RHOA franchise at risk. That is, if Kandi would have decided to sue them and Phaedra after being wrongly slandered all last season by Phaedra’s stories on the show, which Kandi said harmed her brand at the time. That possibility could have also contributed to RHOA execs giving Phaedra the boot.

Phaedra Reportedly Claims Being Lied On & Set Up

After being fired, it was also recently reported that Phaedra was hustlin’ hard to get back on the show. However, fast forward to now and TheJasmineBrand has reported that Phaedra’s people contacted them with a whole new side of the story on her behalf. Check out what was reported below:
