When Power star and former 3LW singer, Naturi Naughton, celebrated the birth of her first child with her longtime fiance,’ Ben, in 2017, they seemed head over heels in love. Welp, according to Naturi, that was then, and this is now- and in the words of Brian McKnight, “after the love is gone…life must go on.” That’s exactly where the “Tasha” actress’ head is at right now, regarding the engagement she’s recently called off.

In a new interview with Essence, she let it all out, revealing why she no longer wants to be with the father of her child, as well as struggles she’s had with being a beautiful dark skinned woman…and she held nothing back.

“Not The Right Person”…
Naturi’s parents have been married for 47 years, so she has a pretty good model to compare the type of union she wants with a lifelong partner, and apparently Ben didn’t make that final cut:

“I don’t want to be married if it’s not the right marriage and the right person,” the 35-year-old actress told ESSENCE. “Pressure is really induced by living up to other people’s expectations, and instead of trying to live up to somebody else’s expectations for me, I just need to be happy.”

Power star, Omari Hardwick, is speaking out about something he regrets doing to his former Power co-star, Charlie Murphy, even though his actions were not intentional.

As we all know, when comedian/actor, Charlie Murphy, passed away in April 2017, to the surpise of his fans. Little did we know at that time though, it was also a shock to those who knew him personally as well.

Omari was among that long list of those who were unaware that he had a life threatening illness, during the time he filed his last work, which was on Power. On the hit series, Murphy played a correctional officer who had it out for “Ghost” (Omari Hardwick), during “Ghost’s” prison stint.

In a new interview on Hot 97, Omari revealed why he now regrets how their scenes played out, now that Charlie has passed away.

50 Cent is HEATED right now and has no problem letting the world know what’s up. As y’all already know, once 50 Cent declares someone as his enemy, he NEVER let’s up. Now, one of the executive producers on his hit series, Power, Randall Emmett, has just learned that lesson the hard way…and so did his reality star wife.

It Started With Exec. Producer’s Wife’s Sex Confessions…
Apparently, 50 Cent has had major beef with his executive producer, Randall Emmett, for quite some time and accuses Emmett of doing him dirty. But it wasn’t until now, that 50 made it public, by taking their beef to these social media streets.

He first let his frustration with Emmett shine, by throwing shots at his actress/reality star wife, Lala Kent, who stars on Bravo TV’s Vanderpump Rules.

50 posted a video clip of Lala confessing that Randall bought her a Range Rover after the first time they’d had sex. She also revealed that she let Randall “hit it on the first night” and that he likes to role play #MeToo type scenarios in bed. Laaaaawd…

“Power” star, Omari Hardwick, wants y’all to know one thing- don’t come at him with no B.S.. That was the message he recently tried to send loud and clear to a few pissed off fans who blasted him for disrespecting another fan in the street. Their feud spilled over into social media and resulted in Omari damn near writing a pamphlet sized read to said fans.

What Had Happened Was…

The fiasco all started after one of Omari’s fans took to social media to blast him over the way he’d treated a female fan when she asked for a photo with him. Apparently, Omari was out chillin’ with his wife, Jae, and their young daughter at a public place somewhere. A female fan noticed it was “Ghost” from “Power” and she was nearby. Therefore she proceeded to do what any fan would- ask for selfie to relish the moment.

Unfortunately, she apparently got her face cracked (not literally), when Omari reportedly yelled at her and turned her down.

As a result, another fan commented to him on social media:

“Heard you yelled at a girl who asked for a picture because you were with your family..in her defense she didn’t who was [with] you. You actors be acting like your God. Knock it off playboy.”

That struck a nerve with Omari and he then proceeded to deliver a very lengthy clap-back. He started with an explanation from his viewpoint:

“Let me kill yo f*ckery, playboy. She got out of her car to follow me and my family maybe 200 yards…as this older sweet nanny tells us. She gets to me and ask for a pic. I say, as I always do, God bless you, I don’t do [pictures] when I’m with my family. Respectfully. She then responds, ‘So, I can’t get a picture with you?!’ With SHOCK in her face. She never acknowledges my family with a LOOK. I go, ‘Huh? You didn’t hear what I said?’”

But then Omari got a surprise when the actual fan he allegedly yelled at in the street, hopped into his comments to blast him for being a “liar”:

“You’re a liar. I walked off after saying, ‘Ah, really? Okay.’ Walked across the street, you started yelling…Your fans are who made you. A simple, ‘No, I don’t do pics when I’m with my family would have been nice.’ Your attitude is what shocked me, not the fact you wouldn’t take the pic.”

The accuser continued in another comment:

“…I know the truth and so [does] he. I’ve moved on and so has he. My thing is, don’t lie about it. I hate a liar. If you’re not approachable then so be it, I’m not the first he’s done this to, and won’t be the last.”

Omari replied:

“We absolutely know the truth. You are a lost human. God bless your soul.”

At first the feud seemed to be a done dada… but then a third fan supported and blasted Omari at the same time…that’s when all hell broke lose:

“Your true fans understand. That’s why you should ignore this foolery. I hate that celebs primarily respond to negativity instead of their ‘true’ fans positivity, however; I do understand that you’re human and that comes with emotions.”

Omari then went ALL the way off and called the woman involved in the shouting incident a dark, spirited woman. He also checked the other fan who called him out and added a few choice words to get his full point across…

“Please equally acknowledge how much I respond way more to beautiful positive real ones. So this is a misnomer for me as well. This fuck shit needed to be checked and never just for me. But for ALL in my position built like my character as a person or NOT. And for the you’s of the world equally…if your job came with the same mess.

But yea let’s keep it 100…if not 500, i respond to REAL fans way at an 8. I respond to not negativity but rather REAL high level fuck shit & that is still at a 2. From YOU….to everyone who chose to comment in defense & those who liked my comment I ALWAYS acknowledge and thank you as a true fans. Hence me putting quotations around the word as it pertained to that lost dark spirited woman.

I’m a man who will always give back. Even my checking of f*ckery is a carefully chosen ‘give back’ to the winners in life who ain’t got my stage size or heart size. Said it 100x…rather go call it a day and stare at a mountain listening to Donny Hathaway before I lose me.”

When Naturi isn’t playing “Ghost’s” (Omari Hardwick) ride-or-die wife, “Tasha,” she’s full -time mommy mode with her daughter, Zuri who will be turning 1 year old on July 19th. Meet The Papi

As far as we know, Naturi’s boyfriend, Ben, has yet to put a ring on it, but that most definitely is not a declaration of a lack of love between them. They’ve happily been dating for many years and he’s oftentimes right there by Naturi’s side at public events. Ben is apparently a private dude, so there are very few pics of him circulating for all the world to see. However, Naturi did share photo of them together at their prior baby shower, so here he is…

No Pain, No Gain- Her 3LW Heartbreak

Although Naturi’s talent is shining bright like a diamond these days, as we all know, no great gain in life, comes without some great level of pain. For Naturi, that pain came when she was forced out of 3LW, for what she says was due to issues surrounding her image and her chocolate skin.

Here’s what she said in an interview with Kontrol, as she reflected on her 3LW hardships, which ultimately help land her on “Power” years later:

Naturi Naughton- “During 3LW I was told so many things, a lot of them weren’t always positive, but you know I’m a brown skin black woman. At the time there were certain fads. I use to sometimes feel inadequate or feel like I wasn’t enough. The group had a lot to do with that by telling me; my voice was too soulful, [since] I was a darker skin girl I wasn’t as popular. It was a certain image I had to dress and be a certain way in order to be acceptable.”

In a 2002 MTV interview, Naturi said her final straw was when her group members, Adrienne Bailey and Kiely Williams threw food at her: “Kiely throws her plate of food all in my face — mashed potatoes, macaroni all in my hair, down my clothes, messing up my [hair]do!, said Naturi, who refused to be “physically abused” by them.

How her pain strengthened her:

NN: “When I came out of 3LW I had been rocked to my core. I had never been so shaken up by life. … I had no money. I was broke. I was starting from the ground up. I didn’t have a deal. If you haven’t been keeping up with the Starz series, Power, you probably have missed the opportunity to see Debbi Morgan in action these days. She plays “Estelle,” the mother-in-law of the lead character, “James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick” (Omari Hardwick) and the mother of “Ghost’s” wife, “Tasha St. Patrick” (played by former 3LW singer, Naturi Naughton. Speaking of Power, it was a few photos with Debbi’s Power co-stars that reminded us of just how much she’s making her 61 years look like the new 30!

Debbi is 28 years older than Naturi (33) and 23 years older than Lala (39). Good LAWD! Where is that fountain of youth Ms. Morgan has clearly stumbled upon?!! We’re going there ASAP.

Time Heals All Wounds:

On a new episode of The Real, co-host, Adrienne Bailon, displayed that she not only talks the talk, but she walks the walk. After blasting Oscar-Award winner, Mo’Nique, for how she chose to handle her beefs with Tyler Perry, Lee Daniels, and Oprah Winfrey, Bailon decided to show Mo’Nique how she thinks a woman should handle it. Bailon invited her former group member/Power actress,  Naturi Naughton, onto the show to apologize to her publicly.

In the past, Naturi has publicly stated that after her 3LW group members (Bailon included) unfairly kicked her to the curb, she felt that their manager blackballed her in the industry- the same thing Bailon slammed Mo’Nique for publicly revealing in a “loud and boisterous” manner.

So with Loni Love seated in the middle of their Real conversation, a very pregnant Naughton sat down on the couch to hear what Bailon had to say. Here’s how the apology went:

“It’s crazy because when I look at you I think about my teen years,” Bailon began, speaking to Naughton. “We literally grew up together in bunk beds in New Jersey and I thank God for the time that I got to actually talk to you. We had seen each other at an Us Weekly party, years ago, and we sat down and talked everything out, and I was able to apologize to you if I ever — you know — there was a lot that went on in that time that looking back was just like, we were so young and it was crazy, and that I genuinely from the bottom of my heart never meant any harm to you, and I think you’re talented and you’re beautiful.”

Although Adrienne Bailon tap danced all around the cruel details Naturi said was done to her by Bailon and the others, her apology seemed genuine and Naturi seemed to receive it. In agreement with one another, both ladies admitted that they were “young and scared.” Naturi shared that when she was in 3LW, it was a very difficult time for her and that she didn’t think she would make it. In addition, she also mentioned the criticism that she received and that it’s important for women to love each other. Not going into great detail, Naturi implied that management caused problems for the girls.

What Really Happened? Skin Tone Bashing & Fights

Over the years, it was rumored that Bailon was allegedly incredibly rude to Naughton and was even responsible for getting the actress fired from the group. Naturi has also said in the past, that she believed colorism played a role in the way she was treated, admitting that they oftentimes made her feel as if she “wasn’t good enough” because of her beautiful darker skin tone. The group consisted of Naturi, Adrienne, and Kiely Williams. Michelle Williams- Kiely Williams mother- managed the ladies. At one point, the tension became so bad, that during an argument with Michelle, Kiely threw food on Naturi and destroyed her hair, along with her clothes.

“There was an argument between me and Michelle [Williams], and Kiely and Adrienne are cursing me out, and before I know it, Kiely throws her plate of food all in my face — mashed potatoes, macaroni all in my hair, down my clothes, messing up my [hair]do! Nobody has the right to hit me. That’s not what I’m here for, … to be physically abused. So I said, ‘Get me a flight back to Newark, New Jersey,’ and they wouldn’t even help me get a ticket,” Naughton shared with MTV News back in 2002 when the group split.

Now their former 3LW manager, Michelle Williams, whose Twitter name is TSE Williams, had a lot to say about Bailon’s apology. Williams is very active on Twitter and she questioned why Bailon felt the need to apologize at all. In addition, she commented about the alleged criticism of Naturi’s skin color.
