In a recent interview, Tameka Foster, Usher’s ex-wife, shared her thoughts on the news of his surprise marriage to Jennifer Goicoechea. Tameka, who is known for her work as an Atlanta stylist, expressed her happiness for Usher while discussing her own exciting ventures.

In her convo’ with TMZ, Tameka revealed that she had a blast at the Super Bowl, just like her ex-husband did during his halftime show. Despite their past, Tameka spoke highly of Usher’s skills as a performer and praised him for being a great dad to their two sons.

As for Usher’s new marriage, social media users couldn’t help but bring Tameka’s name into the conversation. However, Tameka made it clear that she is not bothered by the speculations and is solely focused on her own journey. The past is the past, and she is looking forward to what the future holds.

In fact, when asked what she thought of Usher’s surprise Super Bowl day marriage, let Tameka tell it — she thought Usher and Jenn jumped the broom long ago, presumably because they were already so close for several years now, and share two young kids together. Here’s what Tameka said about their new marriage:

“I thought he’d been married. I don’t know, I don’t, I stopped keeping up with that that type of thing. That’s like his second, third [marriage]… I don’t know, I can’t I don’t know… I don’t even keep up with his personal. But he’s a good dad, that’s what I care about, and he’s a dope performer because did y’all see the halftime show?”

In case y’all missed it, Usher and his long-time girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoachea, got hitched on the low at
Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, hours before he performed the Super Bowl Halftime Show. So yeah, the brotha was hella busy that day.

To say that Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Foster, have had a ‘rocky past,’ would be an understatement. However, they are making people smile with what they’ve just done for Usher’s 40th. Hold up, we’ll let that sink in for a minute. Usher -the youngin,’ who was singing “My Way” years ago- is officially part of the Old School 40 and up club. Anywho, now that he’s divorcing his current wife, Grace Miguel, check out just how far he and his ex-wife have now come.

As most of us know, their union and it’s aftermath was filled with extreme bitterness, pain and the ultimate grief.

Their Ongoing Grief

After being married for 2 years and 3 months, they officially divorced in 2009. Sadly, by 2012, Tameka’s then 11 year old son, Kyle Glover, lost his life during a freak accident on water skies with family members. Usher loved Kyle like he was his own flesh and blood, even though he was merely his ex-stepfather by that time.

Months later, fearing for the safety of his own two sons with Tameka, Usher filed for and won sole custody of their sons that same year. It was one of the most bitter and painful custody battles ever.

Tameka Defends Herself Against Herpes Scandal

Then by 2017, Tameka found herself being dragged into Usher’s public drama over his ongoing herpes scandal and accusations. During that time, Tameka was forced to have to speak out to let folks know that every last one of the herpes allegations against Usher happened AFTER they were no longer together and that her health is in 100% tip top shape.

What They’ve Just Done…TOGETHER

As if that wasn’t shocking enough, Mr. ‘Ursher baby’ was showered with love by the ex-wifey for his October 14th 40th b-day celebration. In a very rare move, Tameka took to Instagram to wish her ex-man happy birthday, along with video and photos of Usher and their sons. In her post caption, Tameka clowned the brotha about finally becoming an “old man” and she referred to herself as Usher’s “best mistake.”

ILOSM fam,’ the other day, Tameka Foster -the ex-wife of Usher and mother of his kids- was dragged to smithereens and back on social media. The reason was because a mother of a precious little model, named Lyric, put Ms. Foster on full blast for reportedly stealing her child’s likeness and image without her consent and for her own financial gain. It was all sparked after Tameka posted (then deleted after getting blasted) an animated look-alike image of little Lyric, for her upcoming project called, “Damaris.”

To most of us, Tameka’s animated “Damaris” character appeared to be a direct replication of one of the images Lyric’s mother had shared with Lyric’s 100K+ Instagram followers a while back.

It only took a few hot seconds before Lyric’s Instagram followers brought Tameka’s photo to her mom’s attention. Lyric’s mother proceeded to express how outraged she was by Tameka’s reported jack move, in a lengthy Instagram post, in which she received thousands of supportive comments from many.

“I am seriously appalled that as a woman, as a culture, cannot stick together. It was brought to my attention that my daughter, Lyric Hurd, was part of a project that we have no say in. Everyone knows that Lyric is an actress, model, and dancer. We, as a family, have worked so hard to brand her and invest in her talent. … As a co-manager to her own Instagram page, she saw the tags to your page @TamekaFoster and my baby cried! … How could you take my daughter’s photo and send it to @dreillustrator and pass it off as your own? How? We can’t for the life of us, understand why you would use my daughter’s image, her exact face, and call it your own. … And then, to vehemently deny this….I thought you were better than this. … I mean…Instagram help me out here. Tameka Foster I will await an amicable resolve…I pray you do the right thing.”

Tameka Foster Finally Responds To Backlash

On the flip side, Tameka, received a ton of backlash and never responded, nor acknowledged what happened…until now. In a new Instagram post, Tameka revealed that she has now resolved the issue with Lyric’s mom and get this, Tameka is blaming the fans on social media -not herself- for the “misunderstanding.” Here’s what she posted…

Foster then commented to a fan and denied that she used Lyric’s face for the animated character. However, she’s also now saying that she’s changing the character’s face and that the image she originally promoted on Instagram, was simply a rough draft so to speak. Hmmmm…okay:

Not sure why Ms. Foster is referring to the now apparent indication, that her animated character is in the likeness of, or at least eerily similar to Lyric- as a “misunderstanding.” But if I had to take a guess, I’d say it’s her attempt to save face after a reportedly unethical business move on her part. We all make mistakes, but it’s never a good thing to deny them, just saying. Moving on…

Lyric’s Mother Speaks On Resolved Issue With Tameka

Lyric’s mother shared an update on Instagram, also stating that she and Tameka had resolved the issue.

As y’all can see, there was a distinct difference between the mother’s and Tameka’s phrasing though. Lyric’s mom did not state that it was a “misunderstanding,” like Tameka claimed, and she also did not place blame on the social media followers. At any rate, it’s still good to see that the issue was handled, possibly for a financial fee and rightfully so. Wishing little Lyric many years of success with her modeling career, she deserves it. Go be great little lady!

There is an adorable child model, named Lyric Hurd, whose mother is very pissed off with Usher’s ex-wife/baby mama, Tameka Foster, right about now. In case you’ve never heard of little lyric, she’s cute as a button and has built a fan base of over 100K followers on Instagram. Her mother works hard to advance her child’s modeling career forward and stays on top of her kid’s image, to make sure she’s presented in the appropriate manner. That’s where the outrage and fan backlash Tameka’s now getting, comes into play.

You see, Lyric’s mother took to Instagram to send Tameka one clear message, after learning that Ms. Foster reportedly stole her child’s image. That message was pretty much ‘Hell nah! Not TODAY!’ In a lengthy post, Lyric’s mom obliterated Tameka, for seemingly using an animated image of her daughter for one her upcoming projects, called “Damaris.” Lyric’s mother claims Tameka did so without getting permission, nor offering to pay for using her child’s likeness.

Below is the post Tameka Foster has now deleted from her Instagram, showing one of the images of what appears to be model, Lyric, as some type of animated character, Tameka has titled, “Damaris.” In her post, Tameka wrote:

“Oooh ooh!!! I am working in something that I’m so BLIPPIN’ excited about! Can’t wait til I can reveal it. This is “DAMARIS”….I will drip tidbits here and there. #PassionProject #Kilemania #ChocolateGirlMagic”

Kid’s Mother Puts Tameka On Blast

According to TheShadeRoom, Lyric’s mom started off her blast session with this:

“I am seriously appalled that as a woman, as a culture, cannot stick together. It was brought to my attention that my daughter, Lyric Hurd, was part of a project that we have no say in.”

She continued to explain how passionate and dedicated she and Lyric have been at trying to build Lyric’s brand, only for Tameka Foster to jack her daughter’s image:

“Everyone knows that Lyric is an actress, model, and dancer. We, as a family, have worked so hard to brand her and invest in her talent. Lyric is just a child but she is very involved [sic] with her branding and to think that her image and likeness was used without our permission is beyond hurtful. As a co-manager to her own Instagram page, she saw the tags to your page @TamekaFoster and my baby cried! Lyric cried and s a mother this completely broke me.”

The mother then acknowledged the illustrator who worked with Tameka to design the animated image of Lyric. But she didn’t blame the illustrator for doing their job, she blamed Tameka for reportedly sending the pic to them:

We can’t for the life of us, understand why you would use my daughter’s image, her exact face, and call it your own. She is confused. We are all baffled. And then, to vehemently deny this….I thought you were better than this. As women, as black sisters, as a culture,. More Reasons Why We Dig Usher

This isn’t the first time Usher has shown his devotion to Tameka’s children. When her young son, Kile, was tragically killed in August 2012 during a jet skiing incident, Usher reportedly dropped everything and rushed to the hospital to be by Tameka’s side.

He recently paid homage to Kile on his birthday with a touching Instagram post.

After Usher won custody of their children in July 2012, Usher consoled a clearly upset Tameka in the courtroom…

Details Of The Death Of Usher’s Stepson, Kile

Many of you may recall that tragic time in the lives of Usher and his ex-wife/mother of his two sons, Tameka Foster (46). Tameka’s son, Kile Glover, died during a family vacation on Lake Lanier (northeast of Atlanta, Ga.).

The year was 2012 and Kile was enjoying his vacation with his father, Ryan Glover, his stepmother (Kyle’s wife), and friends. Kile and another 15 year old male child were floating in an inner tube when Kile’s dad’s close friend, Jeffrey Hubbard, accidentally struck them while flying by on a jet ski.

Although Kile’s father immediately rushed to rescue the children out of the water within a split second, Kile never regained consciousness and passed away six days later in the hospital. The other child was in serious condition at that time, but as far as we know, he recovered.

Usher’s Tribute To Stepson

Kile’s death severely impacted Usher and Tameka. Although the couple were divorced by then, Usher was like a second father to Kile, having been in his life since he was very young and maintaining that close bond after the divorce. Usher immediately rushed to Tameka’s side at the time, and now he has taken to Instagram to celebrate Kile on his 16th birthday (March 29, 2017). See what he posted below:

Here’s What Happened To The Man Who Accidentally Killed Kile

Jeffrey Hubbard, the close friend of Kyle’s father, Ryan Glover, was sentenced to four years (much less than the maximum allowable sentence of more than 20 years). A grand jury convicted him of five charges -homicide by vessel, serious injury by vessel, reckless operation, unlawful operation of personal watercraft and boat traffic violation.

Ryan’s wife (Kile’s stepmom) cried on the stand as she testified, during the trial, that Jeffrey “was just zooming back and forth, yelling with no hands standing on the jet ski. Just really crazy and erratic,’ she said.

Tameka told this to WSB-TV shortly after Jeffrey Hubbard’s indictment:

“At the end of the day, I know he didn’t do it on purpose. […] He could’ve only loved Kile.”

As Tameka Foster, Ryan Glover, Usher Raymond, and the rest of Kile’s siblings and family continue to push through their pain each day, we send our continued condolences and positive energy their way. Rest on Kile Glover.
