Jamie Foxx recently explained what he did to help pop superstar, Ed Sheeran, before he became the multimillionaire, multi-million selling artist he is today.

Who Is Ed Sheeran?

Before we get into what Jamie did exactly, many of us Old Schoolers may be saying to ourselves, ‘Ed who?’…so let us first explain who he is. He’s the cat who’s been heating up the pop music charts lately. He’s also the guy who Xscape’s Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and their then songwriting partner, She’kspere Briggs, just got paid off of.

As we previously reported, there was recently an online outcry by fans who accused Ed of jackin’ the music of the Tiny-Kandi-She’kspere-penned TLC song, “No Scrubs,” for his hit song, “Shape of You.” After the outcry, music publishing company, ASCAP, added their three names to Sheeran’s song. That’s all water under the bridge now and as far as we know, there’s no bad blood between Sheeran and the songwriting trio. Jamie Foxx On What He Did For Sheeran

During his interview on The Graham Norton Show, Jamie revealed that he’d come across Ed Sheeran at an event in L.A., when Ed was just a struggling artist trying to get on. Ed asked Jamie to listen to his music, Jamie did so and was impressed by what he’d heard. So impressed, that he opened up his home to Ed for six weeks, because he knew that British bred singer had no place to stay in L.A. and little money:

“So he [Ed Sheeran] plays and I was like, you’re incredible,” Jamie explained. “I said listen, I know you don’t have anywhere to go just chill here.”

During his stay at Jamie’s, Fox said he put Ed to the ultimate test. He took him to perform at an event made up of 800 African American people in the audience, who were all staring at Ed as if he’d gotten lost on his way to someplace else. It’s always a beautiful thing to see celebs who’ve attained a certain level of success, reaching back to help others. Behind the scenes, Jamie is known for opening up his home to up-and-coming artists on the regular. His generosity reminds us of a quote Denzel Washington made once:

So it came as no surprise when Tiny’s Moms hopped on Instagram to check Tamar over one of her Instagram posts recently.

You see, Tiny’s and Tamar’s friend, Toya Wright explained the drama- that she says Tamar has caused among them- during a radio interview a few months ago (we’ll get into that in a minute). And now, apparently that drama has affected Tamar’s relationship with her own goddaughter- T.I. and Tiny’s precious one year old baby, Heiress. That’s the reason behind Momma Dianne’s recent check session. Check it out below…

Tiny’s Mom Has Words For Tamar

Tamar recently posted this playful Instagram post with the caption:

Tiny’s Moms wasn’t trying to hear that and decided to jump in the comments to address Tamar directly:

DianneCottlePope: “Why don’t you claim your god daughter Heiress. Just because you don’t talk to her Mom.”

As far as we know, Tamar gave Mrs. Dianne the cold shoulder and never replied back to her about neglecting her grandbaby, so it’s probably safe to assume that Dianne’s words are true- especially based off the extent of the ongoing problems Tamar and Tiny have been having lately.

Toya Wright Breaks Down The Tension With Tamar

In case you missed what the beef is all about, Toya Wright broke it down on The Breakfast Club. Toya revealed that the reason she wasn’t able to appear on the show, The Real, until after Tamar was fired from it, is because Tamar allegedly blocked her from doing so. Tamar and Toya were friends though, so that hurt Toya.  Tamar also reportedly did the same thing to their other friend/singer, Monica. But Toya put the icing on the cake when she revealed that Tamar was then angry with both of them for going on the show after she was fired:

Toya: “So I’m like, I go and do it [appeared on “The Real”] and then when I leave, the next day, it’s like all of this stuff all in the media like ‘Tamar Braxton unfollowed Toya and such and such’ because they appeared on the show. I’m like, ‘Is this real?’ So I make a phone call to someone just to make sure that it’s real before I even— my friend was like ‘Yeah, she just felt like you were going on the show and blah, blah, blah.’ And I was like, ‘Okay…but I wasn’t going on the show to take her job. I was just going on the show to promote my book.’ […] I have nothing against Tamar, she’s a cool girl. […] But for that situation to take place, that was a little petty to me.” -via the Breakfast Club

As of now Toya and Tamar still aren’t on regular speaking terms, but Toya did expressed deep gratitude and surprise that Tamar was thoughtful enough to attend her two brothers’ funeral last year (2016), despite the problems they were having at that time.

As far as Tiny and Tamar’s issues- unlike their two friends Monica and Toya), Tiny was allowed to appear on The Real while Tamar was co-hosting it. The reason Tamar unfollowed all three of the ladies (Monica, Toya and Tiny) on social media and stopped talking to Tiny as well, is reportedly because Tiny apparently felt that what Tamar did to Monica and Toya was cold and Tamar did not like her ‘siding’ with them.

Maybe one day Tamar and Tiny will let bygones be bygones, but right now, it’s just not that time.

DON’T BE FOOLED…SEE NEW DIVORCE UPDATES:

As much as we’d LOVE to see T.I. and Tiny remain married, let’s not get it twisted…although their encounters may be filled with warmth, Tiny is far from putting her divorce papers on ice at the Georgia courthouse. In fact, a few days ago Tiny had her lawyer continue to push forward with the divorce proceedings, asking the judge to set a March date for a temporary hearing:

Via Bossip: Lawyers for Tameka “Tiny” Harris filed court docs this week asking for a hearing in March that will establish temporary alimony, child support, child custody, visitation and other immediate matters in the split. The court date will also give TI the opportunity to explain why he thinks the divorce shouldn’t go through or why Tiny shouldn’t get half of their assets.

Now word is out that T.I. missed the Friday, January 6th deadline that would have allowed him to contest any of Tiny’s requests. Therefore, by default Tiny can now be awarded half of everything, as she requested in her original filing.

WHAT DOES THEIR DATE NIGHT MEAN?

So what does that Friday family outing really mean for T.I. and Tiny? Maybe it simply means that after 17 years together, they can’t help but still be each other’s best friend no matter what. Or maybe it means that T.I. is continuing to try to convince Tiny to have a change of heart as was reported recently. Who knows?

However, what we do know is that Tiny’s been T.I.’s ride or die chick since day one- they’ve been arrested together, overcome rumored cheating together, built a beautiful family together, she was with him when she was on top with Xscape and he was an unknown rapper, and so on. Therefore, the perfect song to end this with is Method Man ft. Mary J.- “You’re All I Need To Get By” (shout out to Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell for creating that classic) because it looks like T.I. knows that he has (or had) a good woman and no amount of groupie gold diggers will ever replace her. Given all of the ups, downs, and drama 2016 brought to Tameka “Tiny” Cottle Harris and her fam,’ she wanted to start 2017 off right with some positive vibes and hope for a better year. Therefore in her first post of 2017, she tried her best to be as positive as she could possibly be, by posting a message of gratitude to her Instagram. But as usual, someone hopped on Tiny’s IG with a dose of disrespect and that’s when Tiny let that hood seep up outta her to check what the late, great Bernie Mac would have referred to as a “summummab–.”

A hater of Tiny’s tried to shut down her positivity with 100% incorrect facts and Tiny shut the hater down with the quickness, for claiming that T.I. made her and was poppin’ well before her. The apparent youngin’ who knew not their R&B history facts, got their face cracked when Tiny fired back. Boom! Guess Tiny told them! And if we really wanna get down to it, the world didn’t really get introduced to T.I. until a whole 10 years after we were already bumpin’ Xscape’s “Just Kickin’ It” 1993. In 2003 when T.I.’s hit, “24s,” hit radio, folks were just starting to ask “Yo, who dat?” about T.I.. SO WHAT IS T.I.’S ALLEGED PLAN TO WIN TINY BACK?

T.I.’s plan to allegedly win Tiny back and get her to call off the divorce, is to ‘talk some sense’ into her as one close source put it. Check out what was revealed via TMZ:

T.I. has made the first move to end divorce proceedings from Tiny … TMZ has learned.
Sources close to T.I. tell TMZ he thinks Tiny has overreacted because they’ve always gotten through rough patches in their 15-year relationship. He waited a few weeks so she could cool down after filing divorce docs, but now he’s trying talk “sense” into her … that they’re good together.

T.I. believes Tiny was pushed by “jealous friends” into filing to end their marriage. The 800 pound elephant in the room that’s not being addressed … Floyd Mayweather. As we reported … T.I. and Tiny are currently on speaking terms, and have even been romantic together this holiday season. Feels like T.I.’s making headway.

Uh…can somebody tap the pause button on R.Kelly’s “When A Woman’s Fed Up” real quick? We thought we were ready for it, but we may not need it just yet.

We know that T.I. and Tiny were, in fact, together for Christmas as we previously reported, but does that mean that they just tolerated each other for the sake of their children that day? Or were they truly playing ‘husband and wife’ for real? Who knows, but we said it before and we’ll say it again, we were rooting for them and still are.

And you never know, if T.I.’s begging and pleading game is on point this go ’round, Tiny may have a change of heart, but only time will tell. And besides, they’ve been able to withstand several cheating rumors and marriage drama throughout the years- hell, T.I.’s had a few unconfirmed side chick rumors here and there; and Tiny can’t deny that Floyd Mayweather video (although it was just a bump and grind dance, no biggie).

But one thing is certain, the love between them is evident and Tiny is a ride-or-die chick for her man, so maybe, just maybe there may be a chance for the Harris fam’ to get their humpty dumpty on and be put back together again. Then back to the modern day ‘Huxtables’ they go…gotta luv it! Much luck, love, and positive energy to ya’ Mr. and Mrs. Harris.

Jaw-dropping photos from Tiny’s latest photo shoot are circulating on Instagram. According to The YBF, Tiny’s stylist and makeup artist initially shared the photos. Her makeup artist explained the reason for the photos, revealing details about the photo shoot.
