Terrence Is In Trouble Again

Earlier today The Blast reported that Terrence is currently being investigated by the federal government for tax evasion. Terrence, his fiancee’ Mira Howard (who’s his third ex-wife by the way) and Mira’s company Universal Bridges Inc. have been under investigation since May 20. The feds are interested in possible financial crimes committed by all three parties and have already spoken with Terrence on numerous occasions. This investigation comes mere months after Terrence was hit with a tax lien of  $143,538.61, which stems from back taxes he’s owed since 2010. And as if this wasn’t enough of a headache his ex-wife Michelle has been trying to get Terrence to pay her money he’s owed since their divorce settlement in 2013.

In a 2017 interview with Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Waka went into detail about he and Tammy’s relationship, claiming that the two of them were living quite comfortably to the point where Tammy was handling most of the financial responsibility at the time. He also spoke about the importance of family and not making promises you can’t keep.

Fast forward to two years later and now it appears as though Waka and Tammy may need to come together with a plan as a family to pay back their debt, which ironically began back in 2017 when the two of them reportedly failed to pay their taxes. The Blast reports;

The reality stars had a state tax lien filed against them for not paying their 2017 bill. They owe $25k for the principal, $2k in interest and another $7k in penalties and collection costs … for a grand total of $34,797.19.

Waka is warned if he and Tammy don’t cough up the money quickly, their property and assets could be seized to collect on the debt. The two did not have a crazy 2017 as Waka did not release any new music during the year.

During tax season a lot of people are anxious if you’re expecting a nice return but when you’re unsure of whether or not you might owe and if so–how much?! tax time can be like the grim reaper. Well, at least you won’t need to cough up as much as Lil Wayne had to.

Coughed Up $14 Milli

According to court records obtained by The Blast, Weezy recently coughed up $14 million to settle his tax debt. The IRS filed releases of two separate federal tax liens against Wayne. Back in 2017, the liens accused Wayne of failing to pay $7,341,399.07 in 2011 and $6,853,545.77 in 2012 … for a grand total of $14,194,944.84.

Back in December, Wayne himself addressed tax-related matters from the stage in Chicago, shouting out recent Vanguard Award recipient JAY-Z for his behind-the-scenes assistance on a previous issue. “There’s people like Jay-Z,” he said at the time. “He helped me when I was really, really, really down. Really, really, really down . . . Jay don’t want me to tell nobody. That man helped me with my taxes. He’s a real friend, y’all.”

Now you might say, why do rich people not file their taxes? Well in Lil Wayne’s case it might have been due to his money being largely tied up with the whole dispute with Birdman and not releasing any albums.
