Chris Rock Hysterically Calls Out Jussie Smollett At NAACP Awards, Defies ‘Rules’
Thankfully, Jussie Stayed Away…
Word on the Old School curb is that Jussie had flown into L.A. to attend the NAACP Awards, soon after his 16 count felony charges of filing false reports were suddenly dropped. But after word began to spread about his planned attendance, many people -celebs and fans alike- suggested he stay away.
Needless to say, Jussie backed outta his reportedly planned NAACP attendance at the last minute. That also probably threw a curveball in his alleged PR plan, to have his team create media appearances that would help ‘clean up’ his image…as was previously reported.
After walking scot-free without any form of punishment- not even a public apology, nor community service- Jussie is catching a lotta heat for still attempting to maintain that he is ‘innocent’ of lying to police and to the public (i.e. his Robin Roberts interview) about being attacked. Not only have the Chicago Police Superintendent and Mayor claimed Jussie is lying, State Attorney Kim Foxx also suggested he’s lying, even though her office decided to drop his charges.
For now, Jussie Smollett is trying to avoid a new legal ramification surrounding his dropped charges, while S.A. Kim Foxx is now having to explain her office’s decision. We’ll keep y’all posted.
