We’ve written stories here on ILOSM about the relationship of Prince and Mayte Garcia several times, and in a recent article a couple of weeks ago, Mayte shared intimate details of the romantic and sometimes bizarre relationship with Prince, which made us laugh and cry. Mayte’s making us cry again as she responds to the news Prince’s death.

 

He's with our son now

In 1996, Garcia and Prince lost a son, Gregory, a week after he was born to Pfeiffer syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects the skull and bones in the hands and feet. They formally divorced in 2000.

"I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally," she continues. "He's with our son now."
