Ciara is the MVP when it comes to leaving past relationships behind. She’s entered into a slew of ill-fated relationships, eventually leading to her marriage and happily ever after with Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson. And while she continues to serve as the definition of the term, Level Up, two of her former lovers, 50 Cent and Bow Wow, are currently beefin’ on Twitter. Interestingly, they’ve now dragged Ciara into the middle of their Twitter battle.

Two Dodged Bullets

Ciara and Bow Wow’s relationship lasted from 2004 until 2006. Bow recently admitted that he and Ciara were engaged to be married, yet infidelity ultimately curved their trip down the aisle. Soon afterwards, Ciara was romantically linked to 50 Cent, and the rumors only further increased after they collaborated on their hit single, “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone”

Their relationship ended in 2010, although according to Cheat Sheet Ciara admitted that the two of them were never in a relationship at all.

“He’s been my best friend for years … That’s pretty much the situation,” she told talk show host, Wendy Williams. “I haven’t really had the chance to do like dating over the years from my relationship with the young Bow [Wow]. I just really want to take my time, because that’s what it’s about.”

Perhaps Bow and 50 have some unresolved feelings from both being the ones who let Ciara get away, and they’re taking their issues out on each other via social media, because the two of them are now locked into a back and forth beef over money.

People reports that Ciara recently sat down with Jada Pinkett-Smith for the latest episode of Red Table Talk and of course the subject of her past relationship with Future came up. Ciara admitted that in order for her to accept the right kind of love in her life she needed to make some huge decisions first.

“I grew up with my mom and dad being together. The idea of it being mommy and daddy that made baby,” she said Monday on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk. “Also, you’re living your life in front of the world, so that adds a whole ‘nother layer. I feel like I’m failing right now, they gon’ roast me.”

She continued, “The one thing I fear in life is really wasting my life. I really fear that ‘cause you realize that time does not stop and it will be the worst scenario to stay in a situation that it’s just not healthy, it’s not going to get any better. I realized that I have to start making different decisions.”

Ciara is a woman on a mission! On May 20, she announced her excitement to the world, upon getting accepted into Harvard University. But you know people always have something to say.

This is definitely a time for joy and expression for the world-renown dancer and singer. She’s taking an extra leap into her self-investment and self-worth with this most recent move.

According to Ciara, she was just admitted into Harvard University’s BEMS school — that’s short for “Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports.” She’s calling it the “opportunity of a lifetime.”

“I always dreamt of going to college, but by God’s grace, my music career took me on a path that I’m so thankful for,” Ciara mentions via her post. “This week I got accepted into Harvard! Words cannot describe my excitement!”

Also in her post, she thanked Anita Elberse, Harvard Business School professor, for giving her the chance.

Russell Wilson, now the NFL’s highest-paid quarterback, has reassured Ciara — before the world — that she doesn’t need to stress over baby Future’s child support (or the lack thereof).

Reportedly according to Russell Wilson, his family would be much better off without Future’s “coins.” Power 106 recently mentioned that Wilson referred to Future’s contribution in his son’s financial life as “minuscule” — especially given the fact that Ciara has been stressing over the payments.

The source reports that, sometimes, Future even goes months without sending child support “coins.” So, Russell Wilson has seemingly had enough of the nonsense. Power 106 quotes the highest-paid quarterback as follows:

“I don’t like seeing my son and wife stressing about such a minuscule amount of money…Ciara and her ex constantly argue because he’s not consistent — and can go many months without even paying. I can provide for my family without his little coins.”

“I’m sure he needs the money more than we do,” Russell Wilson continues regarding Future’s “coins.” “He’s got other kids in need. No need for him to overextend himself, because we are set for generations ahead of us.”

As you’ve heard Russell Wilson is now the hugest paid player in NFL history. That news that is a tough pill for someone with an ego like Future’s to swallow. Future has even compared his earning to Russells– without using his name in a song written while  Ciara’s been with Russell.

Why would Future feel some type of way about Ciara’s luck you might ask? Because she’s Leveled Up! There was no way for people to pinpoint who Future was speaking of exactly or if he was speaking about anyone at all but to know that this is how he thinks was really off-putting to some fans and followers.

What Caused The Backlash

It all started when Ciara sent Instagram and Twitter into a tizzy with her marriage advice to single women, in a simple message that read, “#Level Up. Don’t Settle.”

At first glance, Ciara’s message seemed innocent and drama free, until fans proceeded to click on the video clip she included with her caption.  In her post she added a clip of Pastor John Gray, who was preaching about his “single sistas” needing to find a husband and criticizing the ones who were simply “acting like girlfriends.” Here’s what he stated:

“Too many women want to be married but you’re walking in the spirit of ‘girlfriend,” said Paster Gray. He went on to school them on a Bible quote. “‘He that finds a wife finds a good thing.’ It didn’t say, ‘He that finds a girl that he’s attracted to, who he then begins to date, who he then calls his girlfriend, who he then buys a ring, proposes to and makes her his fiancée, who he then marries later who becomes his wife.’…You’re not a wife when I marry you, you’re a wife when I find you,” Gray added, “But a wife is not the presence of a ring, it’s the presence of your character.”

Fans Call Out Ciara Over Her Dating History

Needless to say, it only took a matter of minutes before fans turned on Ciara and dragged her back to the land of reality. They pretty much accused her of having amnesia about her own dating history and sex life, prior to finding her NFL quarterback husband, Russell Wilson.

You see, they’re giving Ciara backlash because she’s been linked to several male celebrities, before beginning her relationship with Wilson in early 2015 and marrying him in July 2016. She was engaged to rapper, Future, in 2013, had a son with him in May 2014, and called off their engagement by August 2014. Prior to those relationships, Ciara’s been linked to 50 Cent, NBA player, Amar’e Stoudemire, and rapper, Bow Wow.

By the way, the other night Ciara was spotted heading into Daft Punk’s pop up shop in WeHo. She held onto the arm of her husband firmly, which was the wise thing to do being that she’s very far along in her pregnancy, but still has the ability to rock 6 inch stilettos. I tell ya’ this is one active woman, her labor should be a breeze.

After Russell’s play-off shut down in Atlanta, their little bundle of joy should be all the pick-me-up he needs to leave that major playoff upset a thing of the past.

This is Ciara’s second child and Russell’s first. Ciara’s 2 year old son, Future, is from her previous relationship with rapper, Future. That brings us to the point of this article, as many of us know, Ciara has dated a few celebrities prior to Russell, including rappers, Bow Wow, Future, and 50 Cent as well as NBA player, Amare Stoudemire. Bow Wow and Future are the exes that are currently trending though. Why? Because they were the talk of social media when they popped up at Saturday’s playoff game and sat sideline (obviously in clear eye view of Russell) in support of their home team of Atlanta.

Cameras captured both of them and many wondered if that would apply added pressure on Russell, along with the obvious pressure of having to win the playoff game in a push for the Super Bowl…

Some ATL fans even used Ciara’s exes to attempt to distract Russell with signs like these…

THE LOSS, TAUNTING, & SHADE

What ended up happening is the Seahawks did take the ‘L’ with the final score being 36-20 Atlanta Falcons.

Afterwards, many people took to social media to taunt Russell for what they perceived as him crumbling to the pressure of Ciara’s exes sitting on the sideline. While many others supported Russell with encouraging or appreciative words for his great efforts this season.

In response to the taunting and the loss, Russell and Ciara both posted Instagram messages of gratitude for their ‘family,’ which included a photo of Russell and Ciara with Future’s and Ciara’s, son (also named Future). Not sure if that was done to taunt Future or not, given the rocky history between the three of them, but it’s still good that they didn’t start any back and forth Twitter beef.

FYI: Although Bow Wow is very happy for Ciara, Future on the other hand has had several public issues with her, regarding their young son, Future Wilburn, whom Russell is close to also. The tension between them was so bad, that up until a few days ago, Ciara had a defamation lawsuit against Future, which could indicate that they’re trying to bury the hatchet.

Overall, it was great to see that all parties involved- Future, Ciara, Bow Wow, and Russell- handled the playoff game situation like grown folks.
