Before we get started, here’s a disclaimer: If Diddy and/or any other associated party are factually proven guilty of any of the allegations against them, they should be legally held accountable for them, just like any other citizen…as long as they are proven to be factual allegations. Now, let’s get into this latest one.

As the Diddy-investigation continues to play out with more twists and turns than an action-packed mob movie, here is yet another one…and this time, it has many questioning the motive behind it.

Why Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Is Now Also Suing Cuba Gooding Jr.

As y’all already know, former Bad Boy producer, Rodney Jones a.k.a. Lil Rod, filed a lawsuit against Diddy in February 2024, which is reportedly part of the reason why the Feds recently raided Diddy’s homes.  Anywho, apparently on the same day Diddy’s homes were raided in L.A. and Miami, Lil Rod amended his lawsuit by adding actor, Cuba Gooding Jr., as a defendant. Now, this could get a bit confusing due to Rodney’s prior filing, which also included Cuba’s name, so let us explain…

In his initial lawsuit filing, Rodney claimed that Diddy and Cuba made sexual advances toward him. However, he’d originally mostly accused Diddy and solely sued him for allegedly sexually harassing, drugging, and threatening him for over a year. At that time, Rodney had only claimed that Cuba supposedly made unwelcome advances –allegedly touching and groping him inappropriately– during an event on Diddy’s rented yacht.

Now, approximately one month after his initial filing, Rodney has circled back around to not just sue Diddy, but also Cuba Gooding Jr. Why? Because in his amendment, Rodney claims Cuba “began touching, groping, and fondling [his] legs, his upper inner thighs near his groin, the small of his back near his buttocks, and his shoulders” while on a yacht Diddy rented in 2023, in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Several Questionable Moves That Made Fans Question Rodney Jones’ Allegations/Lawsuit

Several of Rodney’s legal moves against Diddy have been seemingly questionable, which could ultimately hurt the credibility of his case, and prevent him from getting justice, if there are in fact injustices that he actually did endure in this scenario. Here are a few:

In Rodney’s lawsuit, he and/or his legal team alleged that Diddy and his son, Justin Combs (30), partied with underaged females and/or prostitutes.

Rodney and team also reportedly included photos, in the lawsuit, of the supposed underaged female(s) at the party (with their faces blacked out in the images), interacting with Diddy and Justin. Only problem is that two of the females whose faces they’d blacked out in the images – presumably to allude that they were underage – have since been confirmed to be full-fledged adults. One of the women is Justin Combs’ 32-year-old girlfriend/Fashion Nova model, Stephanie Rao (pictured below standing behind Justin).

The other woman, Chelsea, spoke out and submitted photos of herself, to TMZ, wearing the same outfit she had on in the lawsuit’s ‘party photos’, but did not want to be identified because she is a mother and wants to keep her privacy. However, she wanted to come forward to confirm that she is a 33-year-old woman…far from underaged.

Just a few weeks prior to Rodney filing his sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy in February 2024, he’d started a GoFundMe campaign, asking the public to ‘help him sue Diddy.’ At the time, he made no mention of sexual assault allegations (swipe left on video below), and instead said he wanted to sue Diddy for ‘unpaid royalties’ and ‘publishing rights’ from Diddy’s Grammy-nominated, “The Love Album: Off The Grid” album. Rodney’s initial goal was reportedly to raise $50,000, and he’d apparently only reached about $1,500 of that goal. Then, he’d apparently suddenly found the rest of the money he needed to sue Diddy, except in his lawsuit he had a new reason for doing so– because he said Diddy sexually assaulted, drugged, and threatened him in the past. So that switch-up also made fans question his motive.

Rodney also claimed that Diddy showed him a sex tape of Stevie J with another male (of which Rodney and/or his legal team reportedly inaccurately submitted a screenshot of as ‘evidence’ in his lawsuit), but that turned out to be proven false. The person Rodney had apparently mistaken as Stevie J — a gay adult film star named Knockout — publicly confirmed that was in fact him in a scene from a professional adult film he’d starred in, not Stevie J.

Rodney’s Lawyer Spoke Out In His Defense

Rodney’s lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, responded to the many questions the public had after noticing several perceived holes within Rodney’s story, stating “Victims of sexual assault respond to their trauma in very different ways. There is no uniformity in response to sexual trauma.” Blackburn also maintains that Rodney is being truthful.

This All Comes After Cassie’s Lawsuit

It’s worth noting that several accusers have come for Diddy with claims of either sexual or physical abuse soon after his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, successfully settled with Diddy just 24 hours after she hit him with a reportedly $30 million assault-lawsuit in early 2024.

Diddy Says It’s A “Witch Hunt”

For what it’s worth…Diddy has since spoken out – via his lawyer – and stated that the government is on a “witch hunt” to attempt to bring him down.

Said All This To Say…

Now, I’ve said all this to say, that if Diddy is in fact guilty of any of the multiple sexual assault/trafficking allegations against him…then, yes, he absolutely should pay the price for his alleged crimes, just like any other citizen. I just hope that whatever crimes he is found guilty of –if any– are actually crimes he really committed. Sending uplifting energy and love to all victims of assault.

In a pretty surprising turn of events, P. Diddy, has been hit with a new lawsuit by a former male employee alleging sexual assault, and he’s reportedly seeking a minimum of $30 million. Rodney Jones, who used to work as a producer and videographer for Diddy, filed the lawsuit, claiming repeated instances of sexual assault by Diddy and unwanted advances by Diddy’s associates, all at his direction.

Diddy Responds Via Attorney

Diddy’s attorney, Shawn Holley, vehemently denies these allegations and dismisses Jones as a “liar”:

“Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday. His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines,” says attorney Shawn Holley.

She continued, “We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”

Actor, Cuba Gooding Jr., detailed what his last moments with legendary director, John Singleton, were like prior to John passing away at the young age of 51.

In a prior interview, Cuba expressed his extreme gratitude for Singleton, who gave him his start in the film industry, with his role as “Tre Styles,” in Singleton’s 1991 Boyz N’ The Hood classic.

Cuba also is forever grateful that he was able to tell John how much he loved him before he passed.

As soon as he found out John Singleton had suffered a massive stroke in mid-April, Cuba rushed to the hospital to see him. Unfortunately, by that time, John was already in a coma, from which he never awakened.

“I was with John when he passed in the hospital, he was already in a coma when we got there,” Cuba told Too Fab. “But I got the opportunity to tell him that I love him, and to thank him for starting my career, and Omar Gooding’s career, my brother who was in ‘Baby Boy’.”

Gooding Jr. went on to reminisce about himself, John Singleton, and Boyz N the Hood co-star, Morris Chestnut, being born within a 6 day window of each other -between January 1 to January 6, 1968- and pointing out that he believes that connected their brotherhood on a deeper level:

“We were like three guys starting our careers on that movie, I’ll always love him for that.”

Prior to Cuba visiting Singleton in the hospital, he says the last time he’d seen him was one year prior to the hospital visit– when Cuba was performing in the musical, “Chicago.” Cuba says he was elated to see his brotha, but only has one regret:

Cuba Gooding Jr. talked to The Huffington Post, in a prior interview, regarding what he thinks about O.J. Simpson. Cuba, who portrayed O.J. in the 10-part FX series, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, had much to say about how he views the former NFL player’s brain health.

After doing countless hours of research for the role, Cuba said he learned so much about O.J., and has now come to a conclusion on what he believes about the troubled NFL legend. Cuba thinks O.J. may have the degenerative brain damaging disease, CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) — a brain injury that was previously brought to light by the reality-based film, Concussion, starring Will Smith (who portrays forensic pathologist/neuropathologist, Dr. Omalu Bennett).

“Every day [of filming] it was another revelation [about O.J. Simpson]. And I’ve been saying this in the [past] few months and I know that they’re making more announcements about it, but I think that after O.J. passes, if we have the opportunity to dissect his brain, you will find the CTE concussion syndrome. I believe that. You know, if you look at his professional career- he broke records in high school, he broke records in college, winning the Heisman trophy, he rushed for more than 2,000 yards in one season and only six other players have done that. In today’s NFL, which is 16 games per season, he did it in 14 games. The abuse his brain must have taken to achieve these things, I mean there has to be something to be said you know…it’s just so telling to me.”

Cuba Gooding Jr. may be somewhere having Boyz ‘N The Hood flashbacks by punching the air right about now. Why? Because on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, his ‘butt-groping’ accuser won a lawsuit against him, after he was ghost in the courtroom in response to her claim against him.

Details Of Accuser’s Default Judgement

Cuba’s legal loss stems from a lawsuit that accuser, Natasha Ashworth filed against him in October 2019 for an incident she says happened in 2018. According to Natasha, she was serving Cuba drinks at her then-job at Tao Downtown Nightclub at that time, and while doing so, Cuba tried to grope her backside several times.

After Cuba continued to ignore her then-pending lawsuit for a year, Ashworth requested a default judgement against him back in January of this year.

Since that time, according to Page Six, to date Cuba had never retained the services of a civil attorney in his defense for the case, nor have any court documents been filed on his behalf.

Justice Alexander Tisch of the Manhattan supreme court has now granted Natasha Ashworth’s request for a default judgement against the Academy Award winning Cuba Gooding Jr. for her claims of sexual assault and battery. Though, Ashworth was denied one of her request by the judge – her claim of ‘infliction and emotional distress – because Justice Tisch believes that claim was too redundant in comparison to Ashworth’s other claims against Gooding Jr..

The judge ruled that a trial date should be set for the case in order to conclude how much in damages gooding Jr. should pay Ashworth.

Cuba’s criminal defense attorney, Mark Heller, feels the total opposite however, reportedly stating “the claim is baseless and the judgment is worthless.”

Cuba Is Facing More Legal Trouble With Multiple Accusers

For Cuba, it would’ve been better if Ashorth was the only accuser legally battling him. That ain’t the case though. There are reportedly 30 women who have made claims of sexual misconduct against him, with some also accusing Cuba of inappropriately touching them.

Additionally, there’s another pending lawsuit. In August 2020, another woman claimed Cuba raped her twice – vaginally and anally – in a Soho Hotel room back in 2013, after she reportedly chilled with him at a Greenwich Village lounge that night and went back to his hotel room, according to court docs. In response to the rape lawsuit at that time in 2020, Cuba’s attorney, Mark Heller, stated “The allegations are completely false. No complaint was lodged seven years ago.”

There’s more. In addition to Ashworth, Cuba is currently facing two more misdemeanor counts of ‘sexual abuse and forcible touching’ stemming’ from two other accusers who alleged such.

And the there was Cuba’s widely publicized arrest back in June 2019, when a  a 30-year-old woman claimed he grabbed her breast while at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge inside the Moxy Times Square Hotel on June 9 of that same year.

Cuba Gooding Jr. has denied all allegations.

At this point, Cuba’s fans are eagerly waiting to hear all detailed sides of the stories- his accusers’ sides, his side, and the truths…regardless of where those truths may lay.

Cuba Goes To Court, Claims Accuser Has “Warped Mental State”

Cuba rolled up to a Manhattan courthouse, along with is attorneys, Mark Heller and Peter Toumbekis, to file a motion, requesting that Judge Keshia Espinal dismiss the charges against him. They’re adamant that Cuba is innocent for several reasons:

Cuba feels his accusers own words — from blog entries — show she has a “warped mental state.” His motion to dismiss widely quotes blogs where she allegedly said she was starving for attention and also suffering PTSD and anxiety disorder.

Cuba also wants a full exoneration, and his lawyers have argued the case is littered with factual inconsistencies, a lack of conclusive video evidence and an alleged screwup in the NYPD investigation.

Another celebrity is getting the stamp of ‘assaulter’ attached to his name today…this time around, said celeb’ is Boyz N’ The Hood legend, Cuba Gooding Jr.. When I first heard about this, I had a brief flashback of Nia Long’s character yelling, “Tre!!!” But unfortunately for Cuba, this is not a movie script.

What He’s Charged With…
Cuba has just been charged with one count of ‘misdemeanor forcible touching.’ That may sound like an odd charge, but it’s a thing, and it’s definitely a punishable crime.

So, just one day after Cuba declared his innocence and cops revealed they have yet to find surveillance evidence of the ‘groping’ allegation his accuser made, Cuba was paraded in front of media cameras in handcuffs.

Why? Because even though he’s adamant he didn’t violate the woman, by touching her breasts at a Manhattan, NY bar, cops have apparently found some type of reasonable cause to charge him.

On Thursday afternoon, Cuba Gooding Jr. was photographed with a slight smile on his face, as Manhattan officers escorted him out of the Manhattan Special Victim’s Unit building. A small crowd of supporters and journalists gathered outside.

Cuba’s arrest comes shortly after he was seen entering into that same building to turn himself in, as was expected.

It also comes just moments after his attorney, Mark Heller, held a press conference outside of the building, declaring Cuba Gooding Jr.’s innocence…

Heller informed the press that he’d combed through 2 hours of video footage from the night in question and says there’s nothing showing Cuba committing a crime against his accuser.
