A few days ago, Tamar Braxton bravely uttered the words that no parent wants to hear, but definitely needs to know: ‘I was molested as a child.’ Not only did Tamar confess to being molested, she painfully revealed that the evil, heartless sick molesters, were on BOTH sides of her fam.’

The Braxton singer made her revelation to a stunned audience and Wendy Williams on the talk show host’s daytime program. Though Tay’ didn’t name her molesters at that time, it was the first time she’d publicly revealed this info. It was also apparently the first her mother, Evelyn Braxton, had heard of it. How do we know? Because Mama Braxton has just spoken out about her daughter’s revelation and needless to say, she is “devastated” by the news.

During an impromptu interview with a paparazzi cameraman at LAX airport, Evelyn was asked her thoughts on Tamar’s recent revelation. The pain, anger, and sorrow that Mama Evelyn feels for her baby girl was evident in her words and her facial expressions as she spoke, becoming more pissed off by the second…understandably so.

She started off with this:

“I’m prepared to stand by Tamar’s side, no matter what. You know, sometimes you’re concerned about others that’s outside of the family, and…because of that and it happened within the family, that’s devastating…that’s devastating,” Evelyn Braxton repeated. “So that means that you have to watch outside of the family and what goes on inside of the family, that’s DEVASTATING. And can you imagine, it’s devastating for the person that has been dealing with this all of the many years.”

Evelyn is still unaware of exactly which of their family members molested Tamar. When asked if she believed said family members are “sweating in their boots” right now, out of fear they’ll be exposed, she stated:

“I don’t think that perpetrators never sweat in their boots, to be honest with you. I think they’re hoping that it would go away, you know.” She continued, “I feel that THEY felt that they’ve done nothing wrong…and so, Tamar has to tell her story. If she feels like she has to tell her story, I don’t care WHO it is, I’m gonna stand by her 100%! Whether other people understand it or not, that’s my child. Her pain, is MY pain…how ’bout THAT!”

Statistics On Molestation That All Parents, Caregivers, Guardians Should Know

The more we’re all made aware of the stats regarding child molestation and the risk factors our babies and grandbabies face, the more we can prevent it from occurring. Here are some horrifying, eye-opening statistics provided by Huffington Post that we all need to be aware of:

1. Approximately 20 percent of girls (1 in 5) and 8 percent of boys (1 in 12.5) will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday (Pereda et al, 2009).

2. 95 percent of sexually abused children will be abused by someone they know and trust (NAPCAN 2009).

3. Of those molesting a child under six, 50 percent were family members. Family members also accounted for 23 percent of those abusing children 12 to 17 years (Snyder, 2000).

4. The most vulnerable age for children to be exposed to sexual assault is between 3 and 8 years with the majority of onset happening between these ages (Browne & Lynch, 1994).

5. Males made up 90 percent of adult child sexual assault perpetrators, while 3.9 percent of perpetrators were female, with a further 6 percent classified as ’unknown gender’ (McCloskey & Raphael, 2005).

6. As many of 40 percent of children who are sexually abused are abused by older, or more powerful children.

7. Eighty-four percent of sexual victimization of children under 12 occurs in a residence (Snyder, 2000).

8. Seventy-three percent of child victims do not tell anyone about the abuse for at least 1 year. Forty-five percent do not tell anyone for 5 years. Some never disclose (Broman-Fulks et al, 2007).

9. Children living without either parent (foster children) are 10 times more likely to be sexually abused than children who live with both biological parents. Children who live with a single parent that has a live-in partner are at the highest risk: they are 20 times more likely to be victims of sexual abuse than children living with both biological parents (Sedlack et al, 2010).

Tamar and Vince have fans so confused these days. For the past couple weeks, there have been so many questions floating around: Are they back together? Have they split up? What’s really goin’ on? The questions are endless. The latest questions stem from Tamar and Vince’s recent outing together, but was it really the way it seemed? Although the Tamar & Vince reality star has confirmed they are not getting back together, her mother, Evelyn Braxton, still isn’t thrilled about them being in contact at all. Despite the estranged pair having a son together, Evelyn apparently doesn’t believe they should be spending any time in close quarters.

Absolutely Pissed?:

According to The JasmineBrand, Evelyn was also in attendance at the Xscape concert in Atlanta, GA when all the drama went down between the group, Tamar, Vince, Kandi Burruss (of Xscape) and rapper, Khia. Despite all the reports about the situation with Khia, apparently Evelyn was angry for another reason – because Vince was there. Although Vince has been hired to manage Xscape, Mama Braxton still wasn’t happy to see Vince. An insider revealed how the Braxton Family Values star reportedly reacted when she saw Vince:

“She was blindsided when she saw him. She was heard asking people, ‘Why is HE here?’”

Not Here For It:

Evelyn spotting Vince at the Xscape concert follows reports the Braxton matriarch’s claims of domestic abuse. For those who missed it, weeks ago, Evelyn dropped a serious bombshell when she claimed Vince had abused Tamar behind closed doors.

Although they seemed like a match made in heaven when the cameras were rolling, Evelyn claims the relationship was totally different behind closed doors. During a previous interview with theGrio, Evelyn discussed what she saw between her daughter and son-in-law. “Everybody saw Vince as a knight and shining armor, [but] behind closed doors that’s a horse of another color,” Evelyn told theGrio. “I’m tired of [Tamar] being abused and misused If anything happens to Tamar, that’s Logan’s (Tamar and Vince’s son) loss. That’s my loss. That’s her family’s loss. I don’t want that kind of pain,” she added. “Enough is enough. I don’t care how much they smile. I don’t care how much they pretend.”

Despite how the situation looked, Tamar Braxton insists she and Vince are done and there is no chance of them reconciling. The two are only working together for the sake of their son. No further details have been released about the couple’s pending divorce.

For those who missed it, Evelyn Braxton let the cat outta the bag when she revealed her estranged son-in-law, Vince Herbert, had been physically abusing her daughter. Of course, there was lots of speculation about domestic violence between Vince and Tamar, but Mama Braxton confirmed it all and she hasn’t stopped talking since.

Now, she’s sharing even more details. This time, she’s opening up about an incident she experienced, firsthand. Apparently, Vince also got out the box with her on this particular occasion.

Witnessing Abuse:

Evelyn Braxton recently appeared on the daytime talk show, Sister Circle, and she admitted that she was actually inside the house with Tamar and Vince during one of his alleged abusive episodes. She recalled hearing a sound in the house that seemed as if “the elevator was falling.” Mama Braxton claims she saw her daughter running from Vince. At the time, she had her grandson in the room with her but she stepped out of the room momentarily to confront Vince. That’s when she claims he went off on her.

“I ran back to the room because the baby was in the bed with me,” she added. “I was very much afraid for the baby. I put a chair behind the door. I barricaded myself in the room, and held that baby all night long. That’s no way, no way, for anyone to live.”

Damage Control Or Nah?:

The latest news follows reports about Tamar’s relationship with her mother. Apparently, she’s not too happy about her mother speaking publicly about the abuse she suffered during her marriage to Vince. An insider claims that, as of two weeks ago, Tamar wasn’t speaking to her mother, according to Page Six. “Tamar is not speaking to her mother right now after [Evelyn] told [paparazzi] cameras Vince needs to keep his hands off of her. She added fuel to domestic violence rumors,” the insider said.

Tamar also attempted to do damage control following her mother’s previous statements. “My husband and I work very close together and it’s really hard . . . He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”

Despite Tamar’s attempts to do damage control, Mama Braxton has made her sentiments quite clear. She refuses to remain quiet about the abuse her daughter has suffered. “I think Vincent is a bully, fighting, cursing, name-calling,” she said. “What bothers me is that the baby is right there in the midst of it.”

“It was definitely a volatile relationship,” Ms. Braxton says during a phone conversation from Atlanta, Georgia. “This has been going on for years. […] Everybody saw Vince as a knight and shining armor, [but] behind closed doors that’s a horse of another color,” Evelyn Braxton says. “I’m tired of [Tamar] being abused and misused. […] They say the truth shall set you free. They’ve been trying to hide it for years. And I have the audacity to tell the truth,” she says.

Mama Braxton: ‘Vince Blames Beatings On Tamar’s Mouth’

In the interview, Evelyn also revealed that she’s confronted Vince about beating her daughter, but she says that Vince always tries to justify his alleged abuse by blaming it on Tamar’s “mouth”:

“It’s always ‘it’s Tamar’s mouth’…it’s always someone else. That does not give you the right to abuse her. Everybody has a mouth. Everyone should have the right to say what they want. Are you trying to beat [her] into submissiveness? No one has the right,” she says.

According to Evelyn, she and her other daughters stepped to Tamar about her abusive marriage during the filming of Braxton Family Values. However, she is very disappointed that We TV edited out all of those conversations:

“We spoke up about it on the ‘Braxton Family Values’ but they would not show it. They would show all the other girls and their husbands, but when it came to Vince, they took it out of the show,” she reveals.

Vince Is Shocked By Mama Evelyn’s Accusations

Via TMZ: Vincent Herbert, is stunned by his mother-in-law’s strong insinuation he’s an abusive man capable of killing her daughter … and he totally denies it.

A source close to Vincent tells TMZ … he has no idea why Evelyn Braxton told us she’s fearful his impending divorce from Tamar could get deadly because he’s no abuser — he loves Tamar and would never hurt her.
We’re told Vincent’s upset over Evelyn’s comments because he feels this type of story could negatively affect their 4-year-old son when he’s older. Our source says Vince doesn’t want beef with Evelyn … he says he’s going to pray for her.

Vince apparently isn’t letting Mama Eveylyn deter him from fighting to win back Tamar:

Our source says Herbert still plans to fight to win Tamar back and reconcile their marriage despite what her family wants … and be a good dad in the process.

I now one thing, if Vince is ever able to convince Tamar to change her mind, he’s gonna have to go through Mama Evelyn first, because she has clearly had it up to HERE with her son-in-law. Her 2-bedroom luxury condo in Bev Hills goes for around $15k a month. As everybody and their mommas know by now, Toni and ‘Mr. Respeck on my name’ have now publicly confirmed their relationship. So when Tamar appeared on The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday (9-28-17), she was asked if Toni and Birdman were still together and that’s when she dropped a few bombshells.

“Brother-in-Law?”

Tamar referred to Birdman as her “brother-in-law,” because she says that although Toni never told her that, she believes they eloped on the low, especially after seeing what Birdman just did for their mother.

Mother’s Heart Surgery

The other bombshell Tamar dropped was about momma Evelyn, who stars on Braxton Family Values with her daughters. She revealed that her mother held a family meeting on Sunday (9-17-17), to inform them that she had to have heart surgery the very next day. Tamar says she was in complete shock and broken up by the news. The heart surgery was a success, but soon after, Evelyn then suffered a stroke. But thankfully, Tamar says their mom made it through and is currently back at home recovering, smiling, talking, etc..

What Tamar Says Birdman Did For Their Mother

She also has great respect for Birdman because she revealed he was there every step of the way “like a brother-in-law” would be. Tamar said that Birdman was there during the family meeting, to the surgery, and he’s still there with her mother at home. That’s why Tamar is now convinced Toni has secretly eloped on the low, LOL.

Most people think Toni and Birdman are an odd couple, but somehow they make it work.
