After Will Smith’s infamous Chris-Rock-slap scandal, Will says boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather, came through for him in a major way…and he’s forever grateful.

As we all have heard by now, Will Smith was in a sunken place when he slapped the be-jeezus outta Chris Rock during the Academy Awards in February 2022. So much so, that he’d pretty much vanished from the public eye until he finally resurfaced with his apology video in July.

Fast forward to today, and Will has now revealed exactly how Floyd Mayweather helped him at that time. Will says immediately following ‘the slap,’ Floyd called him for ten days straight, in efforts to help Will pick his head back up…even though they weren’t really friends at that time. Will made the revelation during the latest screening for his new film, “Emancipation,” while Floyd was sitting in the audience.

“I want to say something also about Floyd,” Smith said in the video footage at the “Emancipation” event. “So, we’ve met each other, we’ve seen each other around, but we weren’t like, friends. And, the day after the Oscars, for 10 days he called me every day,” Smith added. “And, he was like, ‘Ay, you know you the champ, right? You good? You know you the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it,'”

“That was every day he called me … and it’s like, that’s my dude forever right there.”

Although Will clearly lost his cool — and apparently his invite to the Oscar’s for the next 10 years — when he slapped Chris, it’s still refreshing to know Floyd was there holdin’ Will up when he was at his lowest.

Floyd also took a minute to give Will his props for the “Emancipation” film, during the screening:

“Emancipation captures an important time in history. The movie has me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film,” Floyd acknowledged to TMZ.

On a side note…Chris Rock is out here selling out shows nonstop on his comedy tour with Dave Chappelle. Chris and Will may never ever, ever be friends in the future, nevertheless it’s a beautiful thing to see those two brothas back on they’re A-game in their respective fields. Nothing like a good old fashioned beef to kick the week off, right? How about when it’s a beef that’s so stale, it probably needs to be put away forever? This is the case with boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather, and rapper, Clifford ‘T.I.’ Harris. Theirs is the type of animosity that will probably never be settled. And it all stems from Mayweather’s friendship with T.I.’s wife, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris.

How The Beef Began

T.I. and Mayweather have had a longstanding beef and that is not necessarily a secret. Back in 2014, the two of them were involved in an altercation in Las Vegas. It all went down at a Fatburger on the Las Vegas strip. Mayweather was inside eating, when T.I. ran up on him; leading to an all out war. TMZ reports that chairs were thrown and a Fatburger employee was injured during the fight. Video (below) of the fiasco also looked like an old school WWF ‘Battle Royale.’

MTV reports that the reason T.I. flew off the handle so quickly, was because of a picture Tiny posted with Mayweather earlier that year.

T.I. approached Mayweather about the photo, accusing the two of them of having something going on. When Mayweather admitted that the two of them were just friends, they both squashed the issue. That is, until the night of their fight, when Tiny posted another photo she had taken during Mayweather’s daughter’s birthday party. T.I. tracked Mayweather down to Fatburger and that’s when all hell broke loose:

“I’m eating at Fatburger and next thing you know, he walk in talking about we need to talk again,” Mayweather stated. “Then a couple of words exchange and people got to pushing and a riot kinda broke out. And then a bunch of chaos and that was basically it.”

This was basically the biggest issue the two celebs encountered, until yesterday in Los Angeles, when T.I.’s rage got the best of him once again…

Ray Charles Leonard, professionally known as “Sugar Ray,” mentions during an interview that he could’ve beaten Floyd Mayweather, Jr. while in his prime.

Currently, Floyd “Money” Mayweather is the premier boxer of the sport. However, decades ago, that premier name belonged to Sugar Ray Leonard — especially concerning his weight class.

These days, it’s hard to say that anyone trains as hard as Floyd Mayweather. He doesn’t have an undefeated record “by chance.” It has come with decades of hard work and perseverance.

While Sugar Ray Leonard claims he was better than Floyd, he also doesn’t tout an undefeated record like Mayweather.

During an interview with Undisputed, host Skip Bayless asks Leonard: “At your greatest, were you better than Floyd Mayweather?”

To this, Sugar Ray responds, “Absolutely.”

The heated tension and lengthy legal war between Nelly’s girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, and her ex, Floyd Mayweather, do not seem to be simmering down one bit.

In case y’all hadn’t heard, Mayweather and Jackson had a bitter breakup some years ago, and have been embroiled in an equally bitter lawsuit since 2014. Shantel initially sued Floyd for assault, battery, defamation and invasion of privacy (for allegedly publicly revealing she aborted his baby without his knowledge)- all of which he denied. In return, Mawyweather countersued Jackson for stealing major money from him and charging up tons of thousands of dollars on his credit cards without his knowledge- both of which she denied.

As the case prepares to go to trial, both have reportedly added various details to their lawsuits, in a quest to make the other pay up for their alleged wrongdoings.

This go-round, Mayweather has now amended his countersuit with new claims that Shantel unlawfully recorded him several times throughout their lengthy relationship. He’s listed, in detail, what he says was done to him. He also claims that he’s just found out about the recordings in February, when ‘Jackson responded to demands for discovery in their case.’

Meet Floyd Sr.’s New Bride & What Floyd Jr. Thinks About Her

Turns out, just months before it was revealed that Floyd Sr. had a child with another woman, he was saying, “I do,” to his new Mrs. in a Las Vegas chapel. Ain’t that something? Floyd Jr.’s “Papa was a rolling stone,” much like the one the Temps sang about in 1972, when Floyd Sr. was just a 19 year old boxer in training. Anyways, here’s what’s been reported about their marriage and how Floyd’s son feels about it:

We’re told Floyd’s famous boxing superstar son was NOT at the wedding. However, our Mayweather sources say Floyd Jr. is really fond of Sr.’s new wife — they’ve known each other for decades and he considered her family even before things became official.

Floyd Sr.’s marriage to his new bride, Lois Ann, is actually kinda surprising for two reasons: (1) Most never knew he was even in a serious relationship, especially after the latest revelation about his new kid; and (2) Surprisingly, his lovely wife is in his age bracket, which is a totally different generation from his decades younger baby mama. We’re not sure of Mrs. Mayweather Sr.’s exact age, but what we do know is that her hubby’s baby mama, Purisa Farris, is 29 years old- young enough to be her baby daddy’s daughter…just sayin.’

In Case You Missed It…The Mother Of Floyd Sr.’s New Child Speaks Out

The battle over whether or not Floyd Sr. was the daddy of 1 year old, Nalani Mayweather, dates back to October 2016, at the time of her conception. In court docs filed by the 29 year old mother, Purisa Farris, she broke the entire scenario down of how she’s been trying to get Floyd Sr. to support his little girl:

Via The Blast: According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Mayweather Sr., 65, was sued for child support on January 16 by a 29-year-old woman named Purisa Farris. Farris claims Mayweather is the father of her 1-year-old daughter, Nalani Mayweather. She lists the date of conception as October 2016 and accuses him of failing to pay child support from October 2017 until December 2017.

She also revealed he was not present for Nalani’s birth:

According to official records, Mayweather was not listed as the father on the birth certificate but rather it was left blank. She claims he communicated with her during the pregnancy but was not present during the birth. Farris accuses him of not paying any medical expenses, providing support, clothing or food, nor has he visited the kid.

The timing of Floyd Sr.’s marriage makes me wonder if he was trying to hurry up and lock down his wife (presumably to make her happy…or so she would be less prone to leave him) before the you-know-what hit the fan, regarding his paternity test results. After all, according to Purisa Farris, she was telling Floyd Sr. that their precious little girl was his from the jump. However, it wasn’t until June 2018 (4 months after the Vegas marriage), that the test confirmed it. Hmmm…at any rate, congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Mayweather Sr.!

Xscape singer, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and her rapper hubby, T.I., have made their marriage turmoil no secret in recent years. As the divorce papers continue to sit on ice at the Georgia courthouse, where Tiny originally filed them in December 2016, their marriage has unfortunately seen more ups and downs than a little bit.

Most of us have seen T.I.’s most recent hiccup- the viral video of him flirtatiously slapping the butt of his alleged side chick/”Greenleaf” actress, Asia’h Epperson. Now, it seems that Tiny is fed up and ready to re-tell her side of the story of what REALLY went down between her and her “friend,” boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, when they had their own viral video hiccup a while back. Remember that? That was the video where Tiny and Floyd were secretly recorded winding it up on a dance floor of a small get-together somewhere.

In a new interview on her Xscape group member, Kandi Burruss,’ “Kandi Koated Nights” show, Kandi asked Tiny about the Floyd hook-up rumor and this time she got WAY more real than she did a few years ago. Following the release of the secret footage of her and Floyd awhile back, Tiny said her and Floyd were just friends and absolutely nothing else happened. Well, here’s what she’s say now:

“I don’t think…I didn’t really cheat [on T.I. with Mayweather]. I had no sex [with Mayweather].” But Tiny admitted things did go beyond the friend zone ad that she loved how flirtatious Mayweather was with her. “I think that was fine. Every woman needs a lil’s special attention, especially when you [T.I.] ain’t giving it, she’s gonna go what?” Tiny then made a knowing face, hinting that everyone understood what she was referring to.

Tiny also admitted that because T.I. fought Floyd over her a few years ago, it completely stifled her chances of new men flirting with her, because they now feared T.I.:

“[Their fight] was really a buzz killer for me because everybody was like, ‘I ain’t talkin’ to her, this man done swung on the heavyweight champion, NAH! Tell her…don’t come over here, please!’ He [T.I.] did that though.”

Her admissions may not go over so well with T.I., especially given his hostility for Floyd Mayweather. Many of y’all may recall the many public spats, involving T.I., Tiny, and Mayweather, over allegations that Tiny was hookin’ up with Floyd behind T.I.’s back. The speculations caused all kinds of beef. T.I. attacked Floyd in a public burger joint a few years ago. Tiny and T.I. also had a heated argument about Floyd on national TV, during the final 2017 season of their VH1 reality show, “T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle.”

Will this cause another spontaneous combustion on top of the recent one T.I. has already unwillingly caused with that secret video? Only time will tell. Still wishing these two lovebirds the best though.

What Does Ashanti Have To Do With This?

After Floyd and his then long-time girlfriend, Shantell Jackson, broke up in 2014, she soon started a relationship with Nelly, reportedly that same year and they’re still going strong.

Ever since Floyd’s and Shantell’s breakup though, the two exes have both thrown public jabs at each other. In 2014, Jackson filed a lawsuit against Mayweather for assault and battery, defamation and invasion of privacy, after accusing him of releasing her personal medical information on social media, regarding an abortion he says she had while they were together.

Mayweather on the other hand, countersued Jackson for stealing money off his credit cards without his permission. So what does any of this have to do with Nelly or his ex-girlfriend, Ashanti? Not sure, but according to Mayweather, they clearly have SOMETHING relevant to bring to the case, because he’s just filed a legal request on April 20,2018, to have both of them deposed in his and Shantell’s upcoming January 2019 court trial.

Ashanti and Nelly reportedly broke up in 2010, after years of dating. So her time with Nelly doesn’t seem to cross Nelly’s relationship with Shantell, which as we mentioned, began in 2014.

Therefore, it’s suspected that Mayweather and his team are trying to use as many famous faces as they can to build a stronger looking case against Shantell. It’s also being assumed that Mayweather, who reportedly is still pissed that Nelly’s dating his ex, wants to depose Nelly in the case, just for embarrassment purposes:

Mayweather’s suing Jackson for an undisclosed amount of money. Both Mayweather and Ms. Jackson have both denied all claims against each other.

Now, word on the Old school curb is that Shantel has just responded to Mayweather’s lawsuit with a new court filing of her own:

Via TheJasmineBrand- According to court docs filed, Shantel…says Mayweather was aware of all purchases she made on his credit card while they were together. […] Jackson says the boxer consented to the alleged transactions and for her to be in possession and/or own the disputed property. She is demanding his entire case be thrown out.

This never-ending drama between Mayweather and Ms. Jackson seems like the breakup from HELL! At any rate, both of them have moved on. Mayweather has had a few public relationships since then. Shantel and Nelly are still going strong. Well, despite that one hiccup Nelly recently had, after admittedly having a one night stand with a woman who then accused him of sexual assault. Nelly adamantly denied her claims and the case was ultimately dismissed after a thorough investigation by authorities. More money, more drama.
