A while back, a handwritten note reportedly written by Madonna surfaced. In the letter, the “Material Girl” was said to have shaded Whitney Houston and actress, Sharon Stone.

Madonna Slams Whitney And Sharon Stone:

According to The Grio, a personal handwritten letter by Madonna was reportedly addressed to someone named “J.” Many people believe the ‘J’ stands for John Enos– a man whom Madonna dated for a short time. It appears that in the letter, Madonna was informing “J” that they couldn’t be together, however, there are parts of the letter where Madonna supposedly takes shots at A-list celebs, Whitney Houston and Sharon Stone. 

In the letter, Madonna allegedly said the following:

“I have made so many people angry that I’m being punished and basically being made to be quiet and sit in a corner while other less interesting [and] exciting people are reaping the benefits of the road I’ve paid, she wrote, adding, It’s so unequivicably [sic] frustrating to read that Whitney Houston has the music career I wish I had and Sharon Stone has the film career I’ll never have. She continued, Not because I want to be those women, because I’d rather die but they’re so horribly mediocre and they’re always being held up as paragons of virtue and some sort of measuring stick to humiliate me.”

If that letter is the real deal, then Madonna’s envy levels were on 10! Both Madonna and Houston rose to superstardom in the mid-1980s, each racking up hit single, after hit single. At the time of Whitney’s tragic death, Madonna took to The Sun to pay homage to Whitney and Amy Whinehouse, as they were both talented singers who succumbed to drug abuse.

Madonna told The Sun: “One thing I was struck by with Whitney Houston is I remember she sort of came out as a singer around the same time I did. I remember looking at her singing and hearing people talk about her, and just thinking, ‘Oh my God. She’s such a beautiful woman and my God, what an incredible voice. I wish I could sing like that’. I just remember being extremely envious of her and also touched by her innocence.I was watching a documentary about Serge Gainsbourg, the French songwriter, and there’s a famous talk show he did that happened a while back when Whitney was just starting. It was funny, because I’d just watched it the week before she died, where he was making a kind of play for her on national television and he was basically saying in French that he wanted to  f*ck her — and the look of shock on her face…”

In regards to the shade-filled letter…this was not the first time Madonna’s name was involved in a handwritten-letter-scandal. As many of y’all know, a handwritten letter from Tupac to Madonna emerged a few years ago, where the rapper poured out his heart to the singer in an extremely revealing letter he wrote from jail. However, in the note, ‘Pac broke up with Madonna because she was white, fearing that he would let down his fans.

Not sure if anymore alleged handwritten letters about/or from Madonna will surface in the near future, but we’ll be sitting back with a bucket of popcorn, ready to watch the show. 😎

After Michael Jackson’s untimely passing in 2009, his friend, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, did an interview with NBC News host, Meredith Viera, revealing that MJ was aware that their discussions about Madonna were taped. So, the Rabbi shared this one publicly (full audio of Michael’s taped convo at bottom of page).

Michael Jackson: Madonna laid the law down to me before we went out. “I am not going to Disneyland, okay? That´s out,” I said, “But I didn´t ask you to go to Disneyland.” She said, “We are going to the restaurant and afterwards we are going to a strip bar.” I said, “I am not going to a strip bar.” [With] guys who cross-dress!

MJ: Afterwards she wrote some mean things about me in the press and I wrote that she is a nasty witch, after I was so kind to her. I have told you that we were at the table eating and some little kids came up. “Oh my God. Michael Jackson and Madonna. Can we have your autograph?” She said, “Get out of here. Leave us alone.” I said, “Don´t ever talk to children like that.” She said, “Shut up.” I said, “You shut up.” That´s how we were. Then we went out again and went to the Academy Awards and she is not a nice person. I have to say it. She is not a nice person.

Shmuley Boteach: Did the people around you feel that it was important to be seen with her?

MJ: They knew nothing about it. This was totally between her and me.

MJ: “SHE DID A LOT OF CRAZY THINGS”

“I think she was sincerely in love with me and I was not in love with her”

MJ: At the time I was with Madonna she was into these books, a whole library of books of women who were tied to walls. She said. “I love spanky books.” Why do I want to see that?

SB: I think a lot of it is the image. She once said something to the effect that she would much rather read a good book than have sex. I think the other vulgar stuff is part of the outrageous image she tries to cultivate.

MJ: She´s lying [about preferring to read a book]. I can´t judge. I don´t know if she has changed or if she [is] trying to claim she has changed. […] I think she likes shock value and she knows how to push buttons on people. I think she was sincerely in love with me and I was not in love with her. She did a lot of crazy things and that´s how that went. I knew we had nothing in common. But I am pretty sure that having a baby has to change you. I don’t know how much she has changed, I´m sure she is a better person than before.

Well, maybe that last one isn’t NEW news- given her many past hookups, including Dennis Rodman, Tupac, Sean Penn, Warren Beatty, and even a Jodeci singer (yep you read that right, get that scoop here), just to name a few. Madonna, explained thoroughly to “The Late Late Show” host, James Corden (pictured above), about her wam-bam-thank-you-mam hookups with Michael Jackson. Every now and then we, here at I LOVE OLD SCHOOL MUSIC, still get a little shocked by some of the information we learn around here. We decided to do a lil’ diggin’ on DeVante Swing of Jodeci…and lo and behold, we found a tidbit of shocking info.  Scroll down to check out which pop princess he was reportedly hookin’ up with…all we’ll say is she’s probably who you’d least expect…well, then again, maybe not…

WE DIDN’T SEE THIS COMING

Okay so, remember we said DeVante Swing’s reported ex may, or may not be someone you’d least expect? Welp, here she is — Madonna. Turns out, that back in the day when they were both at the height of their careers, they had a thing going on, according to Rolling Stone Magazine. Here’s an excerpt from a 1995 Rolling Stone article about the two alleged ex lovebirds:

IT’S A SWEATY FRIDAY Afternoon in Los Angeles. DeVante, the lead producer of the singing group Jodeci and to many its main heartthrob, is leaning against a wall in the hallway of a local radio station. A strawberry blonde turns the corner and finds herself just feet away from the 25-year-old tall, brown and handsome star. She playfully gasps like an awestruck fan. He answers with a cool, deep laugh. She walks up to him, says, “Hi, silly rabbit,” gathers herself up on her toes and kisses him noisily on the lips. Later, DeVante describes the woman as “one of the most beautiful people I know.” Her name, by the way, is Madonna.

THEY EACH SEEMINGLY HAVE A TYPE

For the people in the back who haven’t heard by now, Madonna always had a thing for Black men who were more of the ‘rebel, bad boy type.’ DeVante Swing –just like her other past love interests, Tupac, Dennis Rodman, to name a few — fits that description.

Now, another thing to keep in mind, is that Madonna is actually DeVante’s type, at least from a physical standpoint. You see, the mother of his adult daughter is actually white as well, which further confirms the Rolling Stone reporter’s article. Peep the mother of DeVante Swing’s daughter HERE.

Random side note: Wonder if Madonna and DeVante Swing both want that ol’ thang back again…allegedly. They’d definitely go viral in these internet streets if they did.

We need to start this article off with a collective ‘Lawd Ha’mercy!’ Okay…we all know that Madonna has always been one of the most outspoken pop stars in the music game, right? Well, it turns out the “Material Girl” had no problem speaking her mind to Nile Rodgers of the 70s/80s group, Chic. Remember them? Their hits had the clubs jumpin’ back in the day. Hits like “Le Freak” are still CLASSIC.
 
Nile is also a well known songwriter, musician, and producer, which is how he reportedly eventually ended up in the position of being propositioned for sex by Madonna. It all went down while they were working on Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” song in the ’80s. According to Nile, one night after their studio session was wrapped, Madonna all of sudden turned to him and asked, “Why don’t you want to fu*k me?” Nile Rodgers was obviously shocked and he explained what happened next:

“So what Happened was, we finished recording that particular day and I think she was feeling just a little bit um, insecure, if you will. Remember when I had worked with Madonna, this was at the beginning of her career. So um…she was feeling a little bit insecure because I wasn’t hitting on her. I guess EVERYBODY was hitting on Madonna.”

Th reason Nile says he wasn’t even thinking about trying to get with Madonna was because he was focused on keeping a professional working relationship with her. Madonna then popped her question as they were walking out of their studio session:

“‘Nile, do you think I’m sexy?’ And I went, ‘Madonna, what kinda question is that? Of course, you’re like one of the sexiest women I’ve ever met.'” That’s when Madonna screamed, ‘”Well then why don’t you wanna [FU*K] me?!!’ And I said ‘Well because I’m your producer.’ And she said, ‘Well that didn’t stop any of the other ones!’ So that’s how it went, (LOL).”

Madonna wasn’t necessarily singing “Freak out” like Chic, but she apparently wouldn’t have minded getting her freak on that day with Nile.

Some Of Madonna’s Other Past Celebrity Relationships

That wasn’t the first time Madonna had no problem going after what she wanted. She allegedly did so to D’angelo back in the day as well.

A few other celebs who you’d think made a very odd couple with Madonna are rapper Tupac, Michael Jackson, and NBA legend Dennis Rodman.

There’s was a time when folks were saying that Madonna and Michel Jackson were a couple after they were seen out on a few dates together. Did they really have a thing going on, like the Billy Paul song? Who knows if she was MJ’s ‘Mrs. Jones,’ but one thing certain is that they were definitely cozied up like a couple.

Madonna recently confirmed that she and Tupac were a couple in the 90s when she appeared on The Howard Stern Show.

Then of course Madonna was on her odd couple swag when she dated NBA legend, Dennis Rodman, and that’s a whole ‘notha story within itself. They were quite the eclectic, weird couple of the 90’s.

I wonder if Nile Rodgers regrets not acting what Madonna wishes he would have tried back then. He was a true gentleman with the way he handled her comment, so we definitely give him respect for that.
