The source says the decision was mutual and amicable, and there was no specific reason for the split, adding that the rapper currently does not have a manager.

A source tells Variety that the split had happened before Minaj’s guest appearance at Ariana Grande’s headlining Coachella set on Sunday night, which was plagued with sound problems. It is unclear whether Minaj will appear with Grande again this Sunday during Coachella’s second weekend.

The superstar rapper’s latest album “Queen“ released in August of 2018,  was a success, and planned co-headlining North American tour with Future was postponed in August due to production issues and was bumped to this year; several dates on the European leg of the tour earlier this year were also postponed. Rescheduled dates have not been announced for the North American tour.

Prior to Gee Roberson and Cortez Bryant managing Nicki’s career, the rap superstar was once managed by Diddy and James Cruz. But in 2011, Nicki amicably parted ways with them. A source told XXL at the time that she thought Diddy would be more hands-on with her career and was disappointed when she realized it wasn’t the case.

Under Roberson and Cortez’s management last year, Nicki garnered 1.2 billion streams for her 2018 album, Queen. Roberson also helped broker plenty of brand deals for Nicki, including a venture with Moscato to create her own wine line, Myx Fusions.

Since Nicki, nor any rep has yet to comment on her decision of dropping her management team after all these fruitful years, the fans weighed in on their thoughts.

Nicki Minaj Canceled Another Concert

It’s not looking too good for the “Barbie Dreams” rapper Nicki Minaj as she has canceled yet another concert, and her fans aren’t too happy about that.

However, talk show host Wendy Williams comes to her defense.

Nicki is currently on The Nicki Wrld Tour in support of her fourth album Queen, and she was scheduled to hit the stage at the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux, France, on Saturday, March 9.

Due to technical difficulties, Nicki had to cancel the show at the last minute, according to PEOPLE.

Cardi B, Cardi B!

Hundreds of fans gathered at the arena to see Nicki, and when they were told she wasn’t able to perform, they became irate and started chanting for Cardi B.

In a hot topics segment on The Wendy Show, Wendy stated that the chant for Cardi B was unnecessary.

She went on to say anything can happen at the last minute with a show containing “a lot of lights and smoke.”

Nicki turned to Instagram to issue an apology to her fans.

In a video post, Nicki stated she wasn’t informed about the technical difficulties until three hours before the show was scheduled to start.

Just last month, Nicki was set to perform at an arena in Bratislava, Slovakia, but had to cancel the show at the last minute for the same issue.

The 36-year-old stated that she had never been to Bratislava and Bordeaux and therefore wanted to add them to The Nicki Wrld Tour, but it didn’t work out as planned.

She said “every artist have technical difficulties and have to cancel shows. I want to tell you guys that I love you dearly, and I really hope to make it up very soon.”

When Nicki’s show in Bratislava was canceled, she walked around the arena for hours to meet with her fans and gave them an apology with a promise to return for another show.

However, this time around, there have been no reports on Nicki meeting and greeting her fans after the concert was canceled.

It appears her fans were furious when they left the arena.

Wendy gave suggestions on what Nicki should do to make it up to her fans, which included a meet and greet and bringing other celebrities that her fans would love.

Nicki is still on tour. She has a few more weeks until The Nicki Wrld Tour comes to an end.

Nicki Minaj finally proved herself not to be the lying-publicity stunt pulling-attention seeker that many fans were accusing her of being, after the public vow she made to former “Cosby Show” actor, Geoffrey Owens.

As we all know by now, Geoffrey was job shamed online as a result of a viral video that showed the brotha working at Trader Joe’s, as a cashier, a few weeks ago. Though Geoffrey was admittedly devastated, he took it in stride and also received major respect from millions of people who respected his humbleness and honest work.

What She Promised vs. What She Did

Many of y’all may recall that one of Geoffrey Owens’ praisers was Nicki Minaj, who promised to donate $25K to Geoffrey, following the public outing.

Welp, as we previously reported, days, upon days had gone by and Nicki was starting to look more like an opportunist, who voluntarily interjected herself into the massive wave of hype that had suddenly surrounded Geoffrey Owens’ in the media.

It especially seemed that way after a media outlet contacted Geoffrey’s team to follow up on whether or not he’d received the donation from Nicki. Turns out that at that time, Geoffrey hadn’t received a dime of Nicki’s promised donation. Nor had he heard a peep outta her, or her team, since she’d made the public announcement.

Even still, Geoffrey made it clear that he wasn’t sweatin’ it, though he did appreciate the mere gesture of Minaj’s promise and was deeply touched. He never asked for a helping hand and admitted that even if she did send him the $25K, he’d donate it to one of his favorite charities, to help those in more dire need than himself.

Well, that was then and this is now. Here’s what happened after Nicki finally came through on her word…

Nicki Donates Money To Owens…Owens Then Does This…

It has now been a few weeks since Nicki Minaj promised her $25K donation to Geoffrey…and lo and behold, ol’ girl has finally pressed ‘send’ on that money transfer, so to speak. It’s just been confirmed that Geoffrey Owens has now received the rapper’s donation and is extremely grateful that she cared enough to eventually send it to him.

However, he, too, also proved that he was a stand up human being, by staying true to his word. Soon as the money hit Geoffrey’s account, he did as he promised and donated ALL of the $25,000.00 to a charity in memory of his former Cosby Show co-star, Earle Hyman:

One such celeb’ was rapper, Nicki Minaj, who expressed great respect for Geoffrey as a “fuc*in’ legend,” as she put it. She also vowed to make a generous $25K donation to Geoffrey, outta mutual respect. The rationale, as it was explained, was that in the world of entertainment, one must extend a helping hand to take care of their own. She received thunderous online applause for her vow to Geoffrey, but now there’s only one teeny-tiny prob.’

Show Me The Money!

Although Geoffrey Owens is one of the most humble people on the planet, pretty sure there are millions of others who’d be like ‘Show me the money Nicki!’ if they were in his position. What position, you ask? The position of the actor who was non-provokingly promised a lump sum of money by Nicki Minaj, but has yet to hear a peep outta her – other than what the rest of us heard during her public vow to Geoffrey – days ago.

According to what Owen’s team told TMZ, Nicki’s recent excuse, during a Monday airing of her Queen Radio show, seems suspect as hell:

Sources familiar with the situation tell us Minaj and her team have yet to even contact Geoffrey or his people, much less hand over the cash. […]

On Monday’s episode of ‘Queen Radio,’ Nicki discussed her pledge … saying she was having a tough time getting in touch with Owens’ team — but our sources say Geoffrey’s team hasn’t heard a peep, and is easily reachable.

Last week, during an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Nicki Minaj spoke about Geoffrey Owens’ situation, revealing how pissed off she was that someone would put him on blast that way. She understands that can happen to herself, or any other entertainer:

“Some people are on the internet and seeking attention, and he’s [Geoffrey Owens] just the antithesis of that,” said Nicki Minaj. So I felt like, ‘Oh my God, could you imagine?’ … We all have done jobs like that and I just thought, ‘What if that were me? Or a family member and they were minding their own business, working to feed their family and somebody tried to humiliate them?’ I don’t like the way that feels.”

She continued, “Tell him that I’m going to have my team contact him because I hope he doesn’t take it the wrong way. … I just want to help him in any way I can.”

Later, during her ‘Queen Radio’ radio show, Nicki Minaj made a big announcement in honor of the legendary Geoffrey Owens:

“That man is now getting so many opportunities,” Minaj expressed. “I personally want to donate on behalf of Queen Radio $25,000 to Geoffrey Owens. You know why? Imma tell you something. This man is a whole f**king legend in these streets.”

Nicki’s Publicity Stunt & Geoffrey’s Blessings

It was a beautiful gesture, but at this point, if Nicki ain’t out here putting her money where her mouth is, then her so-called ‘generosity’ starts to look like a publicity stunt…at Geoffrey Owens’ expense.

At any rate, despite Nicki not sending the $25K donation she promised, TMZ reported that Geoffrey doesn’t want to be seen as a ‘charity case.’ Although he’s appreciative of all of the support and love, following the public job shaming attempts, the publication said his team informed them that Geoffrey would probably donate Nicki’s donation (if he ever gets it) to some of his favorite charities.

Since he’s been outed as a cashier at Trader Joe’s, Geoffrey’s received the blessings of the Universe, which has now brought a 10-episode deal for Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and the Have Nots,” as well as a role on “NCIS: New Orleans” into Geoffrey’s life.

Why? Because the initial reports by certain news outlets (hint, hint…Fox News) presented that information in a manner that appeared to be job shaming. That led to a flurry of social media comments from ignorant folks bashing the brotha for working. Then came the tremendous outpouring of support from thousands of people who defended Geoffrey. The “Cosby Show” legend admitted that the love everyone was showing him was ‘overwhelming,’ but never in a million years, would he have imagined what was to come next.

First, Tyler Perry reached out to him and offered a role on his hit TV series, “The Haves and the Have Nots.” Now rapper, Nicki Minaj, has stepped up with a generous helping hand for the man she looked up to as a child.

Nicki Minaj Donating How Much To Geoffrey Owens

Geoffrey Owens Accepts Tyler Perry’s Offer

As we mentioned earlier, in addition to Nicki’s generosity, Tyler Perry gave Geoffrey something equally as generous, an opportunity…and a job doing what he loves most.

After Tyler saw Geoffrey’s story, he reached out to him on Twitter:

Eventually, Geoffrey got the message and was completely ‘overwhelmed’ by Tyler’s “generous” offer. Since then, it’s been confirmed that Geoffrey will be flying out to Atlanta, GA to shoot next week for “The Haves and The Have Nots.” He’s accepted a deal for a recurring role on the show and will star in 10 episodes! Geoffrey has since quit his Trader Joe’s job after working their for 11 months. Like my mama would always say, ‘Look at Gawd!’

Geoffrey Owens On Why He Didn’t Quit

Geoffrey explained, to People Magazine, how grateful he is for the tremendous support and for not giving upon himself:

“I’ve learned to never give up,” he said. “A lot of times I was on the verge of quitting the job at Trader Joe’s, but I didn’t because I couldn’t. But it was sufficiently awkward and uncomfortable to be in that kind of job [and be] recognized from time to time. I wanted to leave at times, even though I was grateful for it as work. But if I had done that, none of this would’ve happened.”

Billboard has just announced that Aretha Franklin’s damn near 40 year record as the female artist (of any genre) to have the most Hot 100 Singles on Billboard charts, has just been broken. Okay that was bombshell number one, but here’s bombshell number two- The Queen of Soul’s record, of having 73 Hot 100 singles, was broken by rapper, Nicki Minaj, with her 76 Hot 100 singles. Minaj accomplished that in 7 short years, ever since debuting on the Hot 100 chart in 2010!

Here’s what put her over the top:

Via Billboard: Minaj debuts three songs (on the Hot 100 dated April 1): “No Frauds,” with Drake and Lil Wayne (No. 14), “Regret in Your Tears” (No. 61) and “Changed It,” with Lil Wayne (No. 71). Minaj ups her count to 76 career Hot 100 entries, surpassing Franklin’s career output of 73.

Franklin had held the mark for the most Hot 100 visits among women all to herself for nearly 40 years: from June 18, 1977 (when “Break It to Me Gently” debuted as her 54th appearance, lifting her ahead of the prior record-holder among women, Connie Francis) through March 11, 2017. Minaj matched Franklin at 73 charted titles apiece on the March 18 tally, when “Make Love,” with Gucci Mane, debuted.

As if that weren’t already enough for Aretha to digest, what came next put the icing on the cake- Nicki Minaj’s celebratory twerk video on social media. In celebration of her record breaking history, Nicki took to social media to rep’ out for a minute. She got dressed in a red latex miniskirt ensemble and twerked her heart out, as she gloated about surpassing the ‘Queen of Soul.’

Here’s what Nicki wrote on Instagram Monday:

“Man, I tell ya… God said he ain’t done showing off yet. Lol. Walked off stage to find out history was made yet again today. Aretha is known as an extreme competitor and just because she’s 74 years young, that doesn’t mean her competitiveness has faded. So being beat by a woman young enough to be her grandbaby has got to sting her a lil’ bit. C’mon now, look at the facts in this- Aretha has been pouring her blood, sweat, and tears into the music game for 61 YEARS, only to have Minaj surpass her record in 7 years.

And besides, it isn’t like Ms. Franklin was necessarily a fan of Nicki’s to begin with…she made that clear a while back with her classic ‘Queen of Shade’ reaction during a prior interview, LOL. Remember that? If not keep reading…

Many of you may recall our previous report about the time Aretha threw what seemed to be shade at Nicki Minaj. Nah…bump being politically correct right now…Ms. Franklin DID throw shade at Nicki during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. While the ‘Queen’ was promoting her album, Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics, she was asked what she thought about several new school artists, such as Alicia Keys, Adele, etc., and Franklin had complimentary things to say about all of them in some way…except Nicki. When Ms. Franklin was asked about Nicki Minaj, she simply replied, “Nicki Minaj…hmmm…I’m gon’ pass on that one” and kept it moving.

After Monday’s ‘Billboard Hot 100’ bombshell, Aretha Franklin has to now face the Nicki Minaj topic again, but we can’t be so sure that she won’t be tossing a second dose of shade Nicki’s way anytime soon…especially after getting beat by the rookie (in comparison).
