Throughout the history of the music game, there have been countless tales of scandal and unexpected relationships. One such story involves former Death Row Records producer, Kurt Kobane, who shared some wild revelations about the Death Row Records founder, Suge Knight, during an interview with “The Art of Dialogue.”

According to Kobane, Suge Knight, had quite the love life, and one of the celebrity women he was rumored to have been involved with was none other than legendary actress, Halle Berry. Yeah, we know…the oil-and-water mixture of those two is uh…interesting.

Anywho, in the interview, Kobane shed some light on Suge Knight’s life during that era, describing him as a young millionaire with access to Hollywood’s elite. Kobane claims that he came across love letters from Halle Berry while clearing out certain items after Knight’s incarceration. He even mentioned witnessing Berry’s presence at the studio, although he wasn’t entirely sure of the purpose at the time:

“You’ve gotta understand who Suge Knight was at this time,” Kurt Kobane said. “He was a young dude, millionaire plus, so he had access to all the Hollywood women. There was love letters that we found after Suge went to jail when he wanted us to clear out certain things, there was love letters from Halle Berry. I seen those love letters. I seen Halle Berry at the studio, I just didn’t know what she was there for. She was into him at the time.”

But Berry wasn’t the only famous woman reportedly linked to the Death Row Records scene. According to Kobain, several high-profiled women consistently called Death Row Records headquarters for Tupac, including TLC’s Left Eye. He also claims seeing the presence of actress, Salli Richardson, during that time. Richardson allegedly later went on to date Tupac.

In recent years, Will Smith has been revealing lots of interesting details about his life and his encounters with other colorful celebrities. This go ’round the rap/acting legend detailed what happened when he first met Michael Jackson. It is hilarious and awkward at the same damn time and it also involved Death Row Records founder, Suge Knight.

How He Met Mike & What Suge Had To Do With It

In his Youtube video, Will Smith said that Suge Knight is both to blame and to thank for him meeting his idol, Michael Jackson. Before fully revealing what happened, Will joked, “he still in jail, right?” referring to Suge who’s currently locked up for a 2015 hit and run incident. Will added that he just wanted to “make sure Suge is still in jail if I’m going to tell this story.”

Anywho, Will said he met Michael Jackson at the BET Awards back in the day, except instead of meeting him the way he attempted to- by walking over to him in the crowd- he met MJ in a dark, musty broom closet backstage. The reason being is because just as Will was about to go over to introduce himself to MJ, Will said Suge Knight started a big fight in the audience and caused mass mayhem.

Will explained that as the crowd begin to run for their lives, his bodyguard had to act quickly. “He opens the door and he shoves me into this dirty a$$ utility closet,” said Smith.

Recalling how he was standing in the funky closet, spooked and listening out for gunshots, as masses of people ran past the door, Will says he suddenly heard a high pitched voice say “Hey.” Lo and behold, it was Michael Jackson who, along with his bodyguards had been standing behind him in that dark closet the entire time. Apparently, MJ’s security also rushed him off to the nearest hideout they could find while Suge and his people were out there cuttin’ up.

Needless to say, Will did not want to meet MJ under those circumstances, but what happened next was even more bizarre and hilarious. As he tried to get over the shock that THE Michael Jackson was standing right there in front of him, Will said MJ asked him what he thought was going on outside the door. By then, the Fresh Prince star said he was nervous as hell, but trying to keep his cool in front of MJ, so all he could think to say was, “Suge and ‘nem trippin.”

Michael then told him, “Suge’s always trippin,’ all that success and he can’t figure out how to be happy.” Then came the odd turn in their convo when MJ asked Will, “So you like comic books?” Will says he just went with the flow and told MJ he loved comic books. That’s when MJ put him on the spot and asked which comic books were Will’s favorite, and Will made one up on the spot, named after BBD, as in Bell, Biv, DeVoe 😆.

As her ex-husband, Suge served his 28-year sentence for a fatal hit and run incident in 2015, there is a very beautiful creation in the midst of their not-so-beautiful controversies– their 19-year-old daughter…

Suge and Michel’le’s daughter, Balei, looks nothing like her baby photo above anymore, in November 2021 she turned 19 years old, and she’s still just as cute as she wanna be! Typically, Balei has been shielded from the media by her parents, but now she is being allowed to somewhat come from out of the shadows and into the public’s eye. MEET THEIR DAUGHTER, BALEI

This is Suge’s and Michel’le’s lil’ 19-year-old beauty now and to say she has the blood of a highly impactful legacy pumping through her veins, is an understatement. When your pops is Suge Knight and your mom is Michel’le, you’re automatically a princess of hip hop royalty.

Michel’le has a great relationship with her daughter, although her relationship with Suge went sour when they were “fake married,” as Michel’le refers to it (because she married him when he was in jail and later found out the marriage certificate wasn’t worth the paper it was written on). Michel’le also admitted, in a 2015 interview, that although Suge was allegedly a horrible husband, he is a ‘great father’ to all of his children.

Michel’le also told DailyMail that although she doesn’t have a great relationship with Suge, she will make sure her daughter maintains her relationship with her dad and even makes plans for her to visit him in jail.

Hopefully the circumstances surrounding her parents’ past relationship and her father’s current imprisonment doesn’t have too much of a negative affect on Balei.

It isn’t the fact that pre-Death Row era, Suge was Bobby’s bodyguard, during his “My Prerogative” days. Although we do recognize that may be news to some- and if so, you’re welcome family. In a new interview with Vlad TV, ex-LAPD officer, Reggie White Jr., broke down the story of how Bobby’s past issue sparked a murder hit against him, and how Suge resolved the situation.

Ex-Cop Claims It All Started Over Bobby’s ‘Drug Debt’…
During Reggie White Jr.’s  interview (see video below), Vlad pointed out that when Suge Knight was working as Bobby Brown’s bodyguard in the late 1980’s, some gangstas put a hit out on the New edition member regarding a non-payment of his then hefty cocaine purchase. Apparently, Bobby did not keep up with his bill and the drug dealer he purchased it from was ready to take the situation to the streets by placing a bounty on Bobby’s head. When asked about who put the hit out on Bobby at that time,  Reggie Jr. stated:

“Correct…some dudes from L.A. … But Bobby was on that- snorting that stuff- and he owed some drug money, some street money to somebody and Suge went and talked to the dudes and it (the ordered hit on Bobby) went away.”

Ex-Cop, Reggie White Jr., Believes Promotor, Al Haymon, Helped Bobby Escape Hit Too…

Reggie Jr. also confirmed that the hit was placed on Bobby while he was touring on an the infamous tour that also featured  Al B. Sure. He said the tour’s legendary promotor, Al Haymon, likely collaborated with Suge, to help get Bobby’s situation resolve and continue a successful tour run:

“Knowing Suge and Al Hayman, they may have even gave them some money. It wasn’t like, he called and apologized, LOL…you know. Everybody got gangstas! And if you in the game like that, you got some hitters with you. That’s how the story goes.”

Disrespect Weighed More Than Bobby’s ‘Drug Debt’…
When asked why someone of Bobby’s stature (at that time) wouldn’t pay back $10K-50K cocaine bill at most (which was chump change to Bobby back then), Reggie Jr. suggested that it may not have been that Bobby didn’t wanna pay it at all, but that he didn’t pay it on time. Thus, leading to the dealer feeling “disrespected” and wanting to teach him a lesson:

“Sometimes people don’t want your money, it’s about the respect. Sometimes ‘You done dissed me enough, to where I gotta do this to you’,” said Reggie White Jr.

Reggie Jr. then explained that Suge Knight was considered their “problem solver” and referred to the imprisoned Death Row CEO as “our modern day Ray Donovan.”

Not sure about Suge being everybody’s “problem solver,” but luckily for Bobby B., Suge sure did solve a helluva MAJOR problem that day!

Jamie Foxx is a helluva comedian, but according to him, what went down between he and former Death Row Records mogul, Suge Knight, one night at a nightclub, was NO joke. Well, Suge may have been laughing in the end, but Jamie said he was damn near doo-dooing on himself, literally…

FOXX: ‘SUGE TURNED ME INTO TEVIN CAMPBELL’

In the hilarious video clip below, Jamie Foxx recalled the incident between he and Suge on his “Foxxhole” satellite radio show. According to Jamie, someone inaccurately told Suge Knight that Jamie Foxx did not want him at a club event he was also attending. Suge was already standing outside the door, waiting to be let in though. So Suge was pissed, Jamie tried to sneak out of the back door and that’s when the story turned really funny, really fast (although I’m sure it wasn’t quite chuckle material at the time).

Jamie Foxx: “What happened was I was at the club and they wouldn’t let Suge in the club…and [there was a] lil’ White boy that was running the club. […] So somebody came and said ‘Suge outside,’ I said well tell him I said ‘Hello’…you know, I’m not a rapper (LOL). … So…they wouldn’t let him in the club and then they had him out there ’til 2 o’clock and then the White boy, T.K., tells Suge, ‘You can’t get in, ’cause Jamie Foxx said so!’ HE TOLD THE MOST NOTORIOUS GANGSTER OF THE 21st CENTURY THAT HE CAN’T GET IN”

“Now, look [at] how it looks- the big dude come in, tells me ‘Suge outside.’ …Then the babe comes in…you know how they give you the babe [and tell her] ‘Take this phone in.’ The they said ‘Suge on the phone’ and I’m like, ‘OH my goodness!’ You know, I just turned all the way into Tevin Campbell- *in his soft voice* ‘Oh my good ness, oh my God, I, I don’t know what to say…’ (LOL). I’m shocked, [so] I didn’t get on the phone.”

That’s when Jamie says he tried to make a quick escape plan:

JF: “I called my boy Che, I said ‘Che where you at?!!’ He said ‘I’m on the freeway, why?’ I said, ‘SUGE OUTSIDE!’I said ‘Dude you gotta come in and protect me SH*IIT!’ So he keeps going (LOl). I said, ‘Well, f**k it.’

So in my L.A. mind…I said [to myself] ‘Foxx, go out the back way. So I go out the back way and all of a sudden, Suge walks past the truck, but he don’t see me. .. [But] remember the old footage of Big Foot…when the mothaf***a starts *makes growling noises*? (laughs) I said ‘SH*IIT!’ I turned into Chris Tucker- *in his high pitched voice* ‘Hey man, lets get outta here, man!!!’

Here’s how Jamie attempted to settle the drama though:

JF: “So I had Johnny Mack (Jamie’s radio co-host) take the phone down to Suge. I give Johnny the ‘brave award.’ So, Suge gets on the phone… I said ‘Hello, Sugar…Mr. Suge’ (LOL). And [that] ni&&a said ‘F**K YOU NI&&A, IT AIN’T COOL NO MORE!!!'”

Jamie then yelled, “OH sh*t!” LOL. He also said it was at that moment he wanted to doo-doo on himself out of fear that Suge was about send his goons after him. Good thing that never happened though and both are still here with us today. Except, one of ’em is currently locked up and awaiting trial for killing a man in an incident he says was self defense. AJ Johnson On Why Suge Reportedly Wanted To Shoot Him

First let’s get into his past beef with Suge Knight and how it all started over an Eazy E music video.

AJ Johnson: “Dr. Dre [Suge’s then Death Row Records partner] put me in his video as ‘Sleazy E’ (a mockery of Dre’s former NWA group member-turned rival, Eazy E).

AJ says that when Dre approached him about doing the “Dre Day” video, he (A.J.) was actually cool with Eazy:

“Me and Eazy were cool. It’s a funny story. [..] So I did the video and I guess Eazy [had] seen it. Eazy called me and he was like, ‘Man, you know everybody thought that was me in the video.'”

Then came the odd turn of events, Eazy wanted AJ to then play him in his clap-back diss to Dre and Death Row Records:

“He [Eazy E] was like, ‘Now you gotta do my video, to show people that wasn’t me!’ I was like, ‘No problem!’ So now I go do Eazy’s video.”

“Suge Knight gets word that I’m doing Eazy’s video. He called me into his office. [At that time] we’d just done half the video, so I had to go back tomorrow to finish it. But Suge called me into the office…[he was] like, ‘Man you can’t finish that video.’ I’m like, ‘I dont have nothing against Dre, I don’t have nothing against Eazy, I’m a comedian, I’m tryna pay my rent.'”

AJ says Suge still was telling him ‘You can’t do it,’ despite the fact that he’d just explained he needed the money to take care of his business.

“I’m like, ‘What you mean I can’t do it? He already paid me.'”

Then this happened:

“Suge pulled a gun out *AJ signals a hand motion, as if he’s slamming a gun on a desk*…’I said you can’t do it’ [said Suge].”

“Alright I won’t do it.”

I went and told Eazy, I said ‘Man I can’t finish the video.’ He was like, ‘Why?’ I [said] ‘Suge told me I can’t do it.'”

After AJ admitted, to Eazy, why he was backing out of the video, he said Eazy was like, “C’mon man, you gon’ let that ni&&a punk you like that?‘ However, AJ feared for his life at that point and felt like it just wasn’t worth the risk. Therefore they came up with a solution:

AJ told Eazy, “‘I know somebody that can finish the video.'” He continued, “[Comedian] Arnez J. finished the video…HE played Eazy, LOL. So in the first half it’s me and in the second half, it’s Arnez J, LOL. […] So the money that Eazy gave to me, I had to give to Arnez J.”

Why Fans Caught Off Guard By A.J.’s Appearance

Now, remember we mentioned that there was something even more alarming than the life-threatening revelation AJ exposed? Well, that would be the real-life struggle AJ appears to have been be dealing with at the time of his interview.

In Michel’e’s  biopic , “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me,” she revealed some very dark, crazy times in her career and with her two exes, Dr. Dre and Suge Knight. As her ex-husband, Suge, sits in jail anxiously awaiting his trial date for a fatal hit and run incident in 2015, there is a very beautiful creation in the midst of their not-so-beautiful controversies- their adorable 15 year old daughter…

Suge and Michel’le’s daughter, Balei, looks nothing like her baby photo above anymore, in November 2020 she turned 18 years old, and she’s still just as cute as she wanna be! Typically, Balei has been shielded from the media by her parents, but now she is being allowed to somewhat come from out of the shadows and into the public’s eye. Balei is a perfect blend of both of parents. Check out their mini-me now…

This is Suge’s and Michel’le’s lil’ 18-year-old beauty now and to say she has the blood of a highly impactful legacy pumping through her veins, is an understatement. When your pops is Suge Knight and your mom is Michel’le, you’re automatically a princess of hip hop royalty.

Michel’le has a great relationship with her daughter, although her relationship with Suge went sour when they were “fake married,” as Michel’le refers to it (because she married him when he was in jail and later found out the marriage certificate wasn’t worth the paper it was written on). Michel’le also admitted, in a 2015 interview, that although Suge was allegedly a horrible husband, he is a ‘great father’ to all of his children.

Michel’le also told DailyMail that although she doesn’t have a great relationship with Suge, she will make sure her daughter maintains her relationship with her dad and even makes plans for her to visit him in jail.

Hopefully the circumstances surrounding her parents’ past relationship and her father’s current imprisonment doesn’t have too much of a negative affect on Balei.
