Tamar Braxton has never been one to shy away from public drama, but this time around homegirl is showing restraint regarding the tension she apparently has created with her fiancé, Jeremy “JR” Robinson. A surprise move for many of her fans, and it’s also proof of her putting her ‘grown-woman shoes’ on and owning up to her part in what JR described as her shadily “poking the bear” when it comes to the level of disrespect she publicly allows to be placed upon their union.

Tamar’s Apology To Fiancé, JR Robinson

In a lengthy apology statement Tamar posted on Instagram, she stated the following:

“When you truly love someone, hurting the person that you love is far worse than being hurt BY the one you love. I’m new to true love and loving myself. I’m so sorry that it’s you that has to feel the trial and error.

I wish for the opportunity to give an apology and be forgiven in it ALL. In relationships, we take being forgiven for granted. It’s a blessing to be able to say I’m sorry and see another day in the war of love in this together. No matter how much I feel like I was right…you felt wronged. And I gotta respect that.”

Tamar continued:

“I’m not embarrassed for being open about how I feel. I’m embarrassed of how I made you feel. I’m sorry.”

JR’s Pissed-Off Statement That Sparked Tamar’s Apology

In case y’all haven’t heard, a few days ago JR took to Instagram to let Tamar know he was sick n’ tired of being sick n’ tired with the shade he says she continues to indirectly throw his way in interviews and whatnot.

Most recently, was the interview Tamar did with reality show creator, Carlos King (see video below). During the interview, Carlos referred to JR as “Colonel Sanders”, stating “Let’s talk about Colonel Sanders, honey. When I look at him I sometimes crave a two-piece chicken.” Tamar lightheartedly responded with, “He do not look like that.” Yet, she didn’t say much else in JR’s defense, as the audience and Carlos pretty much continued to briefly chuckle about the comparison between the Caucasian KFC chicken mascot and JR.

Shortly after the interview aired, JR took to Instagram, via a now-deleted post, to sound off about the continued “shade”:

“Truth is – they are not ready for me to tell my side of the story. I keep choosing grace. But I can only be thrown under the bus and not defended for so much longer… I’ll be Colonel Sanders and give you some chicken to eat with my story… Keep poking the bear!” – JR Robinson

He continued:

“A man can only take so much. I always want to protect – even when we aren’t together, but stop allowing indirects to throw me under the bus. Your shade creates more uncertainty and your people thrive on stating what you never say. I’m too graceful and that’s coming to an end. Thanks CK [Carlos King].

Apologies mean nothing when you come for my foundation. You know the truth but want to kiki – well, I guess the exclusive has to come out. Tired of protecting people and getting sh*t on. Their hoe phase was during my in love phase. Flowers and billboards don’t mean sh*t when you have had your heart broken.” – JR

Tamar became engaged to her attorney-fiancé after JR was a contestant on the Peacock channel’s dating show, “Queen’s Court.” Toward the end of 2023 they had a brief split after JR cited other apparently toxic relationship woes they were having. Two months after their split, Tamar expressed that she wanted JR back, after he’d seemingly moved on with female reality TV star, Tommie Lee. Throughout their relationship, many social media commenters have thrown shade at Tamar for choosing a dude outside of her race. So, maybe that has further intensified the issue JR has with Tamar, when she doesn’t come to his defense after folks throw shade at him directly to her face.

The Prayer Circle Interruption And Toni’s Reaction

Chrisean Rock’s unexpected entrance into Tamar Braxton’s dressing room during a prayer circle apparently caught everyone – especially Toni – off guard. The video footage, obtained by TMZ, shows Chrisean disrupting the prayer circle, even going as far as discreetly forcing Toni Braxton to the side in order to to get in between Toni and Tamar. The aggressive interruption clearly annoyed Toni’s concentration, because she refused to hold Chrisean’s hand or have any physical contact with her during the prayer, despite how Chrisean persistently tried to make contact.

“The reaction was uncalled for , yes she broke the circle but she did it quietly, bowed her head and apologized, I dunno seems like they were picking at her all night , rock is young and needs guidance the right thing would have been to correct her mistake after the prayer was done. You walked into church late I’m sure the pastors doesn’t shun you infront of everyone,” one commenter wrote.

“So Chrisean clearly walking across the room to the other side of the circle while someone is praying isnt rude to yall but Toni is the weird one? Lolllll okay sure,” another commenter pointed out.

Someone else rebutted, “Toni, shocked or not, could’ve held her hand out to close the prayer circle back. That was weird and mean.”

What Happened AFTER The Prayer Circle

Unfortunately, the harmony backstage did not extend to the post-show events. Chrisean Rock was reportedly under the impression that she was scheduled to perform during the show, which led to a confrontation between her and James Wright. According to witnesses, James politely informed Chrisean that she was not scheduled to perform, which allegedly triggered a violent response from Chrisean, supposedly sending James to the emergency room after allegedly being socked in the face by Chrisean. The details of the altercation are still a topic of debate, with conflicting accounts from both parties involved.

Once the dust settled, Tamar Braxton took to X (formerly Twitter) to express how pissed off she is that someone actually leaked footage from her dressing room, writing:

Ever since Tamar Braxton split from her husband/manager, Vincent Herbert, dude has been going THROUGH it. First, there was his emergency health scare, resulting in his hospitalization soon after they went their separate ways. Now, there have been a plethora of money issues reported about Vince’s current financial status. The most recent being a $380,000.00 lawsuit that his former artists- rapper, Remy Ma, and pop star, Lady Gaga- have just been dragged into.

A music label, called LDNX Records, originally hit Vincent with a $380K lawsuit, due to him owing money for prior business dealings with the company. In the label’s quest to try to collect their paper from Vince -who apparently didn’t respond to the court judgement he’d lost against them- LDNX subpoenaed his artists instead. The hope was that Remy Ma and Lady Gaga, still owed their former manager money, which could then be seized in order to pay the label.

Since Lady Gaga, nor Remy had previously responded to LDNX’s request in a timely manner, the label then demanded that both of the ladies, along with Vince and Interscope Records, be held in contempt of court, until they produce the necessary financial documents, regarding any money Vince is owed.

According to The Blast:

[LDNX] won a judgment against Vince in 2017 after suing him over a business deal gone south. They claim to have not been paid a dime from Vince and are trying to figure out the sources of his income so they can seize the money until the $380k is satisfied. LDNX accused Gaga, Remy and the record label of failing to provide complete and accurate answers to the information they demanded from the subpoena.

Lady Gaga eventually turned over the documents the label requested. While Remy Ma was a tad bit slower with producing the docs to aide Vince’s business ‘enemy.’  Nevertheless, she revealed interesting info about Vince’s financial dealings with her:

Via TB: Remy claims to have started working with [Vincent] Herbert in August 2017. She says they no longer work together, and they have no written contracts.

Remy says Herbert was only a temporary consultant and functioned as a personal manager for a short period of time. She hasn’t paid him a dime of anything for 6 months. The rapper also provided information on a Wells Fargo bank Herbert used when she paid him $56k in 2017. LDNX Records is now using that information to try to seize money in it.

The case is still pending, as LDNX Records continues to try to seek and seize any amount of money they can squeeze outta Vince’s accounts and pockets, until his $380K debt is paid in full.
