Now that Vice President Kamala Harris has made it official– that she is running for President of the U.S., Tina Knowles is standing beside her wholeheartedly. So much so, that the mom of Bey’ and Solange is now using her social media pages to repeatedly call out Donald Trump and his political antics, as well as to show full support of VP Harris. And as y’all can imagine, plenty of folks have something to say about Tina –the mother of one of the biggest music celebs in the game– being brave enough to loudly speak her mind. In other words, they’re now seeing that Mama Tina handles these topics a lot different from her eldest child, Bey’ (at least publicly speaking, but we’ll explain that in a sec.’).

In one Instagram post, Tina re-shared the sentiments of comedian/radio personality, DL Hughley, who shared a meme slamming Trump and calling out those who support Trump’s oftentimes questionable tactics and behaviors. The meme read as follows:

“Despite calling Barron ‘Melania’s son’, getting JD Vance’s name wrong, confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi and falling aslepep on camera at the Republican National Convention, the media has never made a multi-week story out of questioning Trumps cognitive abilities, energy level, or ability to do the job. This is why so many people don’t trust the media at all.”

On Tuesday July 23, 2024, she also took to social media to re-post a clip from talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel, who pointed out several “dictatorship” statements Trump has recently made about how he plans to utilize biased ‘dictatorship-like’ strategies to run America if he were to get re-elected as President. Tina captioned her post with this message:

So as you can see I Love Old School Music family, although Beyoncé doesn’t necessarily speak publicly about a lot of these issues, she is clearly the product of a bold woman who is not afraid to speak her mind. And by the way….it’s now been confirmed that Beyoncé –who’s typically fiercely protective over the rights of her music– signed off for VP Kamala Harris to use her music for her 2024 Presidential campaign run, which the VP has already began to do. Richard Lawson’s Ex-Wife Is A Gordy

Her face may not be familiar, but Bianca’s mom is the niece of the famed Berry Gordy. Denise Gordy, is the daughter of George and Rosemary Gordy.

These days as we all know, Richard Lawson is happily married into another musical family to his lovely wife, Tina Knowles Lawson.

Speaking of Tina and Richard’s union, as we previously reported, Tina admitted in a prior interview that she almost did NOT marry Richard, but she’s now glad she did.

Tina Lawson Explains Why She Almost Did NOT Marry Richard

Tina explained to Essence, how after her marriage of 31 years to Beyonce’s and Solange’s dad, Matthew Knowles, was finally over, she was: ‘lookin’ for a new love baby, a new love, yeah, yeah, yeah’ (shout out to Jody Watley). So Tina’s best friend, Monica (who’s also friends with Richard), called up Richard and asked him to set her girl, Tina, up with one of HIS friends.

“She called him [Richard] and asked him to introduce me to some men and I thought, ‘My God, I just seem so desperate,’” said Tina.

Richard tried to help at first, then he decided to make his move on Tina instead, BUT what Tina did next almost shut down this whole love connection FOREVER…

Richard ‘liked it,’ but he almost didn’t do what Tina’s daughter preaches and ‘put a ring on it,’ because Tina was like “Hell no!” After Tina told Richard the qualities she wanted in a man, he obviously was like, ‘Bump that, instead of my friends, it sounds like I AM her type!’ So he asked Tina to consider him being her man:

“Me and Monica both said ‘Hell no!’” revealed Tina. “That was only because the women like Richard so I was like, ‘Oh no, I don’t want to deal with that.’”

Sounds like Tina didn’t want to risk getting cheated on by a man who gets so many offers from his groupies on the regular, but thankfully Richard proved her wrong.

Moral of the story- We can’t be so afraid of getting our hearts broken, that we come THIS close to shutting out our potential soul mates forever. I’m glad Richard didn’t give up on Tina after she shut him down, because now they seem happier than two teenagers in love for the first time. Their example gives a lot of us, old schoolers out here, hope that finding true love isn’t just a thing of the past.

Well now thanks to Beyonce’; her mother, Tina Knowles; daughter, Blue Ivy; and husband Jay-Z, we can officially say that we’ve spotted one…or four.

The Knowles clan dressed up for Halloween as Salt N’ Pepa. The three ladies rocked the “Push It’ video gear that Salt N’ Pepa wore, including the bodysuit, and hats. Beyonce’ even took it a step further and found an asymmetric wig and although their jackets weren’t 8 ball jackets, they were 8-ball-ish and still brought back great memories.

Based on his attire, we’re assuming Jay-Z was dressed up as Salt N Pepa’s then producer (and Salt’s then boyfriend), Hurby Luv Bug or somebody.

Little Blue Ivy’s swag game was off the charts as she posed for photos with her Mommy and Grandmommy…

And to top the night off, Jay and Bey went to a Halloween party and had themselves a good ol’ time dancing to Digital Underground’s, 1990 hit, “Humpty Hump”…
