When it comes to weight loss, we’ve all heard of various methods and products that claim to be the ultimate solution. Recently, Xscape singer/songwriter and retired “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Kandi Burruss, opened up about her experience with trying the popular weight loss medication, Ozempic. In a candid revelation, Burruss admitted that the drug not only failed to curb her appetite, but also left her feeling emotionally drained.

Kandi decided to give Ozempic a try in hopes of shedding some pounds that she says she’d recently gained. However, her experience with the med’ was far from what she anticipated. Speaking about her disappointment, Burruss revealed, “I didn’t lose any weight, and it made me feel depressed.”

During her interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, Kandi highlighted the emotional toll that unsuccessful weight loss attempts can have on folks:

“Last year, I tried it,” Kandi, 48, shared, while simultaneously promoting her new partnership with the weight loss product, Hydroxycut.

“I saw so many people who were trying it (Ozempic) and losing weight,” Kandi continued, stating that she knows a “ton” of women —- including her former “RHOA” cast-mate, Marlo Hampton —- who had success with Ozempic.

“So I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to try this.’ And I didn’t lose any weight,” confessed Kandi.

She also revealed that her own doctor was confused by her body’s non-response to the medication:

“My doctor was like, ‘I don’t know what the problem is, I’m not seeing this in other people,’” she recalled.

“It didn’t curb my appetite. I know some people are like, ‘Oh, I can’t eat.’ Not me! I was eating appetizers, a regular meal and dessert, OK?” Kandi explained. “It didn’t stop anything for me.”

The RHOA alum then touched on the depression that followed after her Ozempic run:

“When you see it worked for other people and it doesn’t work for you, it makes you depressed,” stated Kandi. “Realistically, it makes you feel like, ‘What is wrong? Why is it not working for me?’”

Kandi then revealed that she’d gained weight in 2023, after deciding not to continue her years-long run on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”:

“After I left ‘Housewives,’ I was eating good, living good. Now, mind you, I was already 10 pounds over my desired weight at the top of the year. But then, when I announced that I was not going to do ‘Housewives’ anymore, I was eating dessert every day, taking trips, just living it up. … Before I knew it, I was like 170-something pounds. And it was not cute,” explained Kandi.

As y’all already know, Kandi is a solid businesswoman. So, her venture into her latest partnership with Hydroxycut is likely part of the reason why she’s sharing her prior bad experience with Ozempic. The competition is heavy in the weight-loss game, therefore…smart move for Kandi to build up a lil’ hype for the now-underdog in this battle- which in this case is Hydroxycut.

Kandi said she’s had success in the past with Hydroxycut, so now she’s giving it another go, and has supposedly lost 10 pounds so far as a result:

“My team, they reached out to the Hydroxycut team and we worked it out. So I started out just changing my eating habits and using Hydroxycut twice a day and I lost 10 pounds in like three and a half weeks. … I’m feeling good.” – Kandy

After hitting “170-something” pounds in 2023, Kandi revealed it felt like “a lot” for her petite-sized 5-foot-3 build. She’s now hoping to reach “130-something” pounds in due time:

“My ultimate goal is to basically lose 20 pounds to get back to where I was last year, overall. But I would love, love to overall lose 30 so that I can be into my 130s. I have this joke, like, I haven’t weight 130-something since I was 30-something,” she says with a laugh. …

It has been years since I felt like I was real slim and trim — slim-thick, as I like to call it. It’s been a minute and I would love to just see myself get back to that, to my best self.”

Good luck to Kandi on her weight loss journey. On side note…she was just as beautiful at 170-something pounds, as she was at her prior weight of 130-ish. Nothin’ wrong with a lil’ meat on them bones Kandi…but lookin’ good either way Ms. Lady!

LaTocha, one-fourth of the legendary R&B group Xscape, has decided to take legal action against popular TV producer, Mona Scott-Young, and Live Nation. The reason? LaTocha alleges that her group members, along with Mona Scott-Young’s Monami Entertainment Group and Live Nation, are infringing upon her rights as one-half of the trademark owner of the Xscape brand.

It all started when Mona announced a nationwide tour featuring Xscape, excluding LaTocha Scott, who was left out. According to a report from Straight From The A, LaTocha, via her attorney Leron E. Rogers, claims that Live Nation and Monami Entertainment Group have been publicly advertising the Xscape brand for the tour without her approval or discussion of financial terms.

The letter sent by LaTocha’s attorney claims that she was blindsided by the news of Xscape signing a contract for a tour without her consent. It also implicates Mona Scott-Young, suggesting that she intentionally chose to interfere with LaTocha’s rights, given her past involvement as Xscape’s management. LaTocha feels that this oversight was deliberate and not accidental.

LaTocha’s attorney has demanded that Mona Scott-Young/Monami Entertainment and Live Nation contact them within five days to secure the proper licensing for the use of the Xscape trademark. LaTocha and her sister, Tameka Scott, secured the trademark during a period when Kandi wasn’t planning on rejoining the group. Throughout this drama, LaTocha has been maintaining that her intention was never to permanently leave Xscape, but rather to take a break and pursue other interests.

Not stopping at Mona Scott-Young and Monami Entertainment, LaTocha has also sent a similar letter to Live Nation regarding the use of the Xscape trademark at the Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas.

This lawsuit raises questions about group dynamics and the complexities of managing artistic collaborations. It remains to be seen how the legal proceedings will unfold and if any resolution can be reached between LaTocha Scott, Mona Scott Young, and Live Nation…and apparently, her group members as well.

As months of us are aware, LaTocha has been beefin’ with her group members on-and-off for years now, with many Xscape fans oftentimes siding with Kandi, Tiny, and Tameka. This was evident in the major backlash LaTocha received following various episodes of their “Xscape” Still Kickin’ It” reality series. There were claims of backstabbing, financial theft, managerial problems and more…with LaTocha and her husband, Rocky Bivens (pictured above with LaTocha), being finger-pointed -by Kandi, Tiny, and Tameka- as the cause of said drama amongst the group. So uh…yeah, this latest battle ain’t surprising…not one bit.

At any rate, we hope that a fair resolution can be reached, allowing Xscape to continue making music and entertaining their fans.

Rapper T.I. and wife/singer, Tiny Harris (of Xscape), are in the midst of a new legal battle. A woman, identified as Jane Doe, has filed a lawsuit accusing the couple of sexual assault. The allegations claim that T.I. and Tiny drugged her at a nightclub and then took her to their hotel room, where they engaged in non-consensual sexual acts. However, T.I. and Tiny vehemently deny these allegations, stating their innocence and expressing their determination to fight the claims in court.

T.I. And Tiny’s Adamant Deny Woman’s Claim, And Claps Back At Allegations

In a statement to TMZ, T.I. and Tiny had this to say:

“On the heels of positivity, negativity always rears its ugly head. This plaintiff has been threatening to file this lawsuit for THREE years. For THREE years, we have emphatically and categorically denied these allegations. For THREE years we have maintained our innocence and refused to pay these extortionate demands for things we didn’t do. For THREE years, we’ve maintained the same position while the claims in this story have changed time and time again. Our position is clear… We are innocent of these fake claims, we will not be shaken down, and we look forward to our day in court.”

The Allegations

According to the lawsuit filed by Jane Doe, the incident allegedly took place in or around 2005, when she was stationed in Los Angeles as a member of the U.S. Air Force. The plaintiff claims that she and a friend attended a party at Coolio’s home, where they met a man named “Caviar,” who was allegedly affiliated with T.I. and Tiny. The lawsuit alleges that T.I. and Tiny initially did not show up at the party but informed Jane Doe that they would be at an L.A. nightclub the following night.

The Nightclub Encounter

The woman states that she met T.I. and Tiny at the nightclub, where they all gathered in the VIP section. She claims to have ordered two Amaretto sours for herself before Tiny allegedly handed her another drink, which she shared with her friend. The lawsuit further alleges that T.I. then proposed that Jane Doe ride with him and Tiny to their destination, while her friend would ride with “Caviar.” However, the events that unfolded did not match the initial plan.

The Hotel Room Incident

Upon leaving the nightclub, the woman asserts that she, T.I., and Tiny ended up in a hotel room. Two other women, whom she did not know, joined them initially, but Tiny allegedly kicked them out due to one of them flirting with T.I. Once alone, the woman claims Tiny took the her to the bathroom, where they undressed. Subsequently, she says T.I. joined them, and they all got into the shower together.

Allegations Of Non-Consensual Acts

According to the court doc, the woman claims she began to feel lightheaded and dizzy, and that T.I. suggested she go to bed. She alleges that while T.I. watched adult videos, he requested that she rub him down with some massage oil. She then claims Tiny walked in and joined them.

The lawsuit alleges T.I. eventually said he was going to grab a condom, but that’s when Jane Doe says she ran to the bathroom and threw up. She claims T.I. joked, “Are you alright? Looks like you in last place.”

She then claims she passed out until the next morning, and that some type of contact was supposedly made with her vaginal area, but that the security guard allegedly told her she had to go, while T.I. and Tiny were still asleep in bed.

What Accuser Is Suing For

Jane Doe is now suing T.I. and Tiny Harris for ‘sexual battery, assault, negligence and false imprisonment.’

Why she’s filing her lawsuit 19 years later? As TMZ reported, “…the plaintiff says she’s filing the suit now due to California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act … which opened a year-long window for the revival of claims where the statute of limitations would have otherwise run.”

T.I. Drops Major Money For Tiny’s Birthday

T.I. has always bought Tiny lavish birthday gifts and we know this because they’re a very public couple that shares those precious moments with fans. This go ’round though, Tip seems to be working hard to buy his way outta that unspoken doghouse, to make up for the public embarrassment his latest cheating scandal caused Tiny.

He knows Tiny loves the finer things in life, so at the last minute, he went all out, spending $225,000.00 on a new Benz S550! The car alone, costs $130K, but after Tip added the custom black exterior wrap, the all-black-finish, and then sat that pretty whip on a set of 22’s, his final price was $225G’s.

It Was A Last Minute Effort

According to a ATL Custom Auto Sales’ rep, named True, this was an overnight job. Why? because apparently Tip waited until the last minute to decide to purchase a car for Tiny. True said T.I. called them a ‘little after 2 p.m. Friday (June 13),’ saying he needed the new whip by Saturday (Tiny’s June 14th birthday). Ain’t that a blip?!!

Nonetheless, Tip was able to pull off his last minute efforts without a hitch. They were able to finish the job by Saturday at 1p.m. and when Tiny got the vehicle, T.I. had some extra Louboutin bags waiting for her in the back seat.

Her Prior Unenthused Response To T.I.’s 1st B-Day Surprise

As we previously reported, T.I.’s initial birthday surprise to Tiny, left her unexcited to say the least. After the stroke of midnight, on her b-day, T.I. called Tiny on Instagram Live, to give her a special b-day shout-out, as he was toastin’ it up with his potnas in Las Vegas and Tiny was at home in Atlanta.

T.I. seemed to be having a blast at his festivities. Tiny, on the other hand, seemed almost unimpressed as she held her red plastic cup of whatever up to the camera, to toast with Tip, who was joyfully holding up his wine glass. She unemphatically told Tip, “I need to be in Vegas with you” and “you need to come home”…even though she still unenthusiastically thanked him for the birthday wish.

T.I.’s response to Tiny was that he’s ‘gotta let her do her thing’ – a response that seemed to be an extension of a previous conversation the public didn’t witness. Check out their birthday convo below…

What T.I. Has Been Charged With

In May 2018, T.I. was oddly arrested, following a verbal dispute with a security guard who was working at the front entrance of the Henry County, GA (a suburb outside Atlanta) gated community, where Tip and Tiny live with their kids. According to T.I., the guard not only disrespected his wife, Tiny, he also refused him entry into the community, because he’d left his key. The whole thing seemed suspect from the jump, but cops arrested Tip in his predominantly White neighborhood that day. Now, T.I has just been charged with three misdemeanor counts that could possible land him in prison, given that this ain’t his first brush with the law.

Prosecutors in Henry County charged the rapper with simple assault, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct stemming from his arrest back in May, when a security guard refused to let him into the premises. T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, tells TMZ the charges are “baseless, ill-founded and unjustified.” -via TMZ

The good news for T.I. and Tiny, is that according to legal experts, there’s a high possibility he could beat this case and avoid jail time altogether. That’s because there are so many loopholes in the security guard’s story. Also,  Attorney Sadow, the guard, Euwan James, ” was fired for the way he handled the situation with T.I.” Now ain’t that a blip?!!

If the guard was fired over this and Tip has repeatedly maintained his innocence, why is this even a case? I could thing of several reasons why: (1) Sadly, celebs are oftentimes used, by law enforcement, to make examples out of them in the public’s eye; or maybe it’s (2) Celeb’ status could have nothing to do with it, and this is just another example of being Black in America; or (3) To be fair, I’ll play it politically correct as well, and say that T.I. could have possibly been wrong in and drunk in this scenario.

Given the actual claims and the footage of T.I. moments after the incident, the latter option sounds  a tad farfetched, just as  T.I. and his attorney have suggested.

What Had Happened Was…

After a verbal argument ensued between T.I. and the guard, T.I. says there were many facts missing from the police report, that the security guard did not tell officers, nor did the responding officers make an attempt to find out.

When the arrest report was initially made public in May, it was presented as if T.I. was a drunk as hell and irate that night. But in surveillance video from Harris County county jail, just minutes after he was arrested, T.I. was clearly not a drunken mess. In fact, he seemed very level headed – though annoyed- as he attempted to get answers from the White arresting officer, about why he was arrested. Check out the video up top.

It seems like T.I. just might be able to walk away from this case unscathed, but it’s such an inconvenience to have to spend money on unnecessary legal fees, over some BS like this.

Xscape singer/”Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Kandi Burruss, is a proud mother, filled with a mix of emotions today. She’s celebrating her 15 year old daughter, Riley’s, incredible weight loss, while simultaneously reflecting on the struggle and hate Riley had to endure prior to this point.

Kandi Reveals Before & After Photos Of Riley, Reveals Her Pain

Previously, Kandi has shared Riley’s workout dedication online, but never actually showed her full progress until now. On Thursday (June 28, 2018), Kandi took to social media to praise her baby for reaching a milestone she’s fought hard to reach ever since September 2017- a total of 52 pounds shed. Riley’s now gone from weighing 220 pounds to 168 pounds. Kandi shared before and after pics on Instagram, along with a lengthy message about Riley.

First Kandi big up’ed her daughter for her hard work:

“I’m so proud of my baby @rileyburruss! Last year (around September I think) Riley decided to get serious about being fit. With the help of her trainer @iamthekingoffitness she’s lost 52lbs!!!! & she did it the right way by working out 5 days a week & watching her calorie intake. Shout out to her friends @olivervett & @jake.vett who worked out with her & helped her to stick to it. They also lost between 40-50lbs.

Kandi then revealed the pain she endured as she watched the amount of negativity Riley oftentimes received from haters online about her weight throughout the years:

“Y’all just don’t understand how hard it is to grow up in front of the public eye & in front of social media trolls who make negative comments about kids weight. Luckily Riley has tough skin & doesn’t let it bother her but as her mom it used to piss me off when trolls would make negative comments about her size. Nobody knew she was over 200lbs because my daughter is tall. She’s 5’9. & to be honest she wouldn’t tell anybody how much she weighed but now she proudly shares it because she wants to motivate other people who are going thru the Weightloss struggle. Riley is still working out 5 days a week. I’m so proud of her dedication. Now she doesn’t need help to stick to it because she’s got that self discipline that I don’t even have… Riley wants to help other young people get fit & help them thru the challenges she faced. Stay tuned to what my young boss has coming next! #ProudMom ❤️❤️❤️”

Riley Burruss Thanks Her Supporters

After her mother posted her progress, Riley decided to thank her many supporters who have been flooding her social media timeline with encouraging words. She also showed love to her trainer and friends who helped her:

Riley Burruss: “I just really want to send a big shoutout to @iamthekingoffitness because having an amazing trainer was very helpful throughout this journey and motivated me to keep going. I also want to thank my friends @jake.vett & @olivervett for keeping me motivated as well. My journey is not over. I have larger goals I am trying to reach and I hope everybody follows me throughout my journey. I’ve been seeing peoples comments about them struggling with weight loss. Riley, who at 5’9″ is much taller than her 5’3″ mother, was always a beautiful young lady at 220 lbs., just as she is now at 168 lbs. We love the fact that no matter what, she seems happy in her own skin and proud of herself. True inner confidence can only be earned and not given, which is precisely what Riley is proving to herself throughout her journey, from her hard work mentally, physically, and emotionally. T.I.’s Marriage Advice

Tip is out here pissing off some and getting an ‘Amen’ from others. He re-shared a message directed toward men on Instagram, telling them why they shouldn’t get married. Here’s what the post he re-shared read:

Why men don’t marry. Because there’s nothing it for them: What exactly does marriage offer men today? “Men know there’s a  good chance they’ll lose their friends, their respect, their space, their sex life, their money – and if it all goes wrong- their families,” says Helen Smith, Ph.D., author of “Men on Strike.” “They don’t want to enter into a legal contract with someone who would effectively take half their savings, pension, and property when the honeymoon period is over. Men aren’t wimping out by staying unmarried or being commitment phobes. They’re being smart.”

Unlike women, men lose all power after they say “I do.” They’re masculinity dies too.

Even though Tip made it clear that he did not write the post, he admitted that he agreed with some of it. ”Just found out some info out there that I thought I’d share…and mind you I DID NOT WRITE THIS, A WOMAN DID….but I do agree to a degree,” Tip wrote in his Instagram caption. Tiny Claps Back With Help From Snoop

Tiny, however, took her subliminal shot -presumably at T.I.- on her own Instagram page. She shared a video of Snoop Dogg’s ‘Breakfast Club’ interview, in which he stressed the importance of male rappers maintaining their sanity, by keeping a good wife (or girlfriend) in their lives, instead of running around with and I quote, “Hoes.”

The Xscape singer caption her video post with this:

Tiny and T.I. have been on a bit of a roller coaster ride in their marriage as of late. In recent months, they appeared to be more ‘on’ than ‘off’ with their love for each other. Let’s not get it twisted just yet though, because Tiny still has those divorce papers pending at the Georgia courthouse…they’re just on ‘pause’ at the moment. Actress, Asia’h Sharrell Epperson (in the video below), of the OWN Network series, “Greenleaf” and two of her fellow actress friends, Brittany Marie Lucio and Erica Walker, were victims of police brutality. Officers reportedly arrested them after a Houston’s Restaurant security guard (who is said to be a police officer working a side job), called cops because the ladies ‘took too long’ in the bathroom. Each of the ladies are denying they did anything wrong and that the officer’s actions were unprovoked and excessive.

Soon after the disturbing video surfaced, which was recorded by Asia’h, many celebs’ and civilians alike, have joined T.I.’s call for a permanent shut down of all Houston’s locations. This comes just months after T.I. and others were successful in shutting down another Houston’s in Atlanta, following a racially profiled incident that was also caught on video. Through it all, Xscape singer, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, was outside protesting and boycotting Houston’s right alongside her husband T.I. This time though, she feels slightly different from him, regarding the current incident.

Tiny Explains Why She Doesn’t Fully Agree With T.I.

Paparazzi caught up with Tiny early Wednesday and asked her thoughts about T.I. calling for a national closing of all Houston’s restaurants. Tiny said she agrees that the security guard and the officers should be reprimanded for their violent actions against the actresses, but she doesn’t agree that ALL of the restaurants should be closed. Her husband, as well as the three ladies, believe that if they were not Black, they would have been treated with far more respect by the officers and Houston’s employees. However, because the arresting officers were Black, Tiny feels that it was not motivated by race and therefore, only that particular Atlanta branch should be held responsible for their actions. Houston’s Releases Statement

In an attempt to immediately do damage control, following the now viral arrest video, Houston’s has released a statement that didn’t quite seem all that remorseful:

“The evidence we have seen thus far shows that three women arrived approximately 30 minutes after closing time, they went into the restroom as a group after being told that the restaurant was closed. The three stayed in the restroom for more than 10 minutes, and refused to leave despite repeated requests from several managers to do so. Eventually, an off-duty Atlanta Police Officer was summoned with whom one or more of the women got into an altercation that led to arrests. Based on our current understanding, we believe our managers responded appropriately to this unfortunate situation.”

Why He Was Arrested

It was previously reported that T.I. was trying to enter into the gated community where he lives -in Harris County, GA (just outside of Atlanta)- but the guard would not let him in because he did not have his key. A verbal argument ensued and T.I. was arrested on simple assault, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness charges. However, T.I. says there are many facts missing from the police report, that the security guard did not tell officers, nor did the responding officers make an attempt to find out.

T.I. Tells ‘What Really Happened’

The police report stated that T.I. went to the security booth, looking for a fight that night. T.I., on the other hand, says that’s an outright lie and told TMZ what happened and claims that the security guard also disrespected his wife, Tiny:

T.I. tells TMZ … the guard at his gated community in Henry County, GA left out a lot of details when police arrived — like the fact he was sleeping at his post, and T.I. had to wake him up Wednesday around 4 AM. Although the police report says T.I. yelled, “Hook me up” to the guard, the rap mogul tells us he actually said, “Look me up.” He says the guard claimed he couldn’t find T.I. on the resident directory, so T.I. had his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, call. He says Tiny asked why the hold-up and said, “Just let him in.” T.I. claims the guard barked back at Tiny, “Who the f*** do you think you is talking to me like this?”

T.I. says he was livid about that, and admits yelling obscenities. He says he reminded the guard, “I pay you” … and then demanded entry again. He says the guard relented, but when T.I. demanded his name in order to report him to a supervisor, he says the guard only stared with a “blank face.” T.I. says he went home, cooled down and then decided to walk back to get the guy’s name — but only got more of the silent treatment.

It was also reported that T.I. said the guard called cops and told them,”Yes, a Black male right in front of me in a striped shirt.”

The rapper is adamant he had zero intent on getting physical with the guard and says he just wanted to have a talk with him, even though the guard apparently told cops otherwise. When the officers arrived, T.I. says they went directly to the guard (who is Black) and his supervisor to speak with them behind closed doors and that they immediately handcuffed him, without asking his side of the story.

T.I. told The Blast that the arresting police officers in his neighborhood, were “White cops in a very white area.”

When the arrest report was initially made public on Wednesday, it was presented as if T.I. was a drunk as hell and irate that night. But in surveillance video from Harris County county jail, just minutes after he was arrested, T.I. was clearly not a drunken mess. In fact, he seemed very level headed – though annoyed- as he was attempting to get answers from the White arresting officer, about why he was arrested.

In the video, the officer disrespected T.I. by repeatedly brushing off his question and never offering what T.I. has a right to know. Even then, T.I. kept his cool and respectfully told the officer he will be hearing from his lawyer soon.

Both T.I. and his attorney believe that he was treated unfairly and that his charges will be dropped once all of the details surface.
