Bobby Brown is currently promoting the releases of his upcoming A&E 2-part docuseries, “Biography: Bobby Brown” and his reality show, “Bobby Brown: Every Little Step.” While doing so, he’s sharing a very transparent glimpse into the excruciating heartache he’s been dealing with behind the scenes in the years since his ex-wife of 15 years, Whitney Houston; their daughter, Bobbi Kristina; and his son, Bobby Brown Jr. (from his previous relationship with Kim Ward) passed away. All three of the aforementioned loves of his life died due to complications from drug overdoses.

As you all know, Whitney died in February 2012, following a drug overdose. Bobby has made it no secret that he, too, has battled with drug addiction, but he says he’s now living a sober life. That’s the type of life he now regrets not being able to help Whitney reach. In fact, Bobby feels that if he were still married to Whitney, she would still be alive today.

Bobby: “I Beat Myself Up About It”

In one particularly emotional video clip, shared by Daily Mail, Bobby allowed cameras to follow him as he built up the courage to visit both Whitney’s; and their daughter, Bobbi Kristina’s, side-by-side graves for the first time at a New Jersey cemetery. As he grieved for both of them, that’s also where he made his confession about Whitney:

“I think we could have helped each other out. … I think she would still be there if we hadn’t divorced. … I wasn’t there. I beat myself about it because I wasn’t there. I wish I could have been there for her.“

Bobby continued:

“We had made our beds and had to lie in them. We always felt that our love was strong enough to overcome any obstacle put in front of us. … We would still be together if it wasn’t for drugs. Drugs got the best of us.”

Although Bobby’s and Whitney’s 15-year marriage was plagued with rumors of cheating, drug abuse, and hostility…it was also very obvious that the two R&B legends truly loved each other. Unfortunately, sometimes love can only carry a relationship but so far…and by 2006, Whitney was finally ready to throw in the towel, filing for divorce that year. By 2007, their divorce was finalized.

The weight of grief Bobby has been carrying is astronomical. Not only did he lose Whitney in Feb. 2012; his mother, Carole Brown, died a month earlier in January 2012 — a year after his father, Herbert Brown, died in 2011. Then came even greater grief…to lose two of his children within a five-year span — Bobbi Kristina in 2015, and Bobby Brown Jr. in 2020 — is unimaginable. Hopefully, Bobby’s willingness to publicly speak about his grief and regrets has been somewhat therapeutic for him.

Bobby Brown’s docuseries, “Biography: Bobby Brown”, and reality show, “Bobby Brown: Every Little Step,” will air on A&E in the end of May 2022.

The beloved Whitney Houston passed away from an overdose on February 12, 2012. Ever since then, there have been several confirmations – from those close to her – that she had a long battle with drugs. We’ve seen her ex-hubby, Bobby Brown, painfully discuss it publicly. We watched in sadness as Whitney’s brother, Michael Houston, tearfully confessed to their mother, Cissy Houston, (during an Oprah Winfrey interview) that it was not Bobby who introduced Whitney to drugs, it was HE who did so, long before she’d met Bobby.

In more recent years, Whitney’s former bodyguard — who also inspired her film, The Bodyguard –– Welshman David Roberts,  is spoke out about what he tried to warn the Houston family about, and why he ultimately got fired. He was Whitney’s bodyguard for seven and a half years.

In an interview with Radio Times, Roberts explained the incident he was fired for, after trying to save Whitney from her reported drug addiction. He also believes that he felt Bobby was too much of an enabler; and was jealous of Whitney’s career. He also made bold claims said about the death of their beloved daughter, Bobbi Kristina. Roberts On Whitney’s Fatal Overdose

Welshman David Roberts: “There were a lot of people who were aware of the inevitable outcome of what would happen if they didn’t take action and, as we know, they took no action. And the result was fatal.”

Bodyguard Claims Bobby B. Was A “Burden”

W.D. Roberts: “We brought this man [Brown] out on tour and it became an additional burden. Every two days there was a crate of Heineken and a bottle of Crown Royal, and every third day we were ill. […] If that coincided with a show, too bad, the show didn’t go on. This man could not come up to her level so she went down to his.”

Whitney’s Bodyguard Reveals Incident That He Ultimately Got Him Fired

Roberts also stated that he never actually saw Whitney do drugs, but that he would just see the after-affects of them in her behavioral changes…

W.D. Roberts: “In seven and a half years, I never ever saw Ms. Houston take any drug other than bottle of Heineken or a Newport cigarette.”

During a performance for the niece of the Sultan of Brunei, Roberts says that’s when he really became aware of how bad the addiction was:

“She [Whitney] went on stage and couldn’t sing a word, sing a note. Not one. She talked her way through an hour and a half of total and utter embarrassment,” said Roberts.

Roberts then revealed that is when he took action. Under the advise of Whitney’s doctors, he filed his report to the people in charge of her career, to make them aware of how badly her addiction had become so they could get her help. However, Roberts claims that soon afterwards, he was contacted by Whitney’s lawyers and told his services were no longer needed.

Bodyguard’s Allegations About Bobby Regarding Daughter’s Death

As far as the death of Bobby’s and Whitney’s beloved daughter, Bobbi Kristina, at age 22, Welshman D. Roberts went hard at Bobby B. for it.

W.D. Roberts: “That girl [Bobby Kristina] had no chance from the start. She was born into chaos. Her father was instrumental in her mother’s downfall. … I watched Bobbi Kristina as a little girl, running around the corridors of hotels we were staying in, surrounded by the degenerates who were supposed to be looking after her, and I worried for her future.”

“When I heard what had happened to Bobbi Kristina, I wasn’t surprised, but I was angry. […] Everything good Bobby Brown’s ever had in his life, he’s destroyed – his career, Whitney, and now Bobbi Kristina. She’s another victim of his poisonous personality.”

Geesh! This is sad no matter how we look at it. But should Bobby Brown really take most (or all) of the blame? Or should the blame be equally distributed among himself and all other contributing parties? Especially since we now know that it was not Bobby who actually introduced Whitney to drugs?

Some may say ‘yes’; some would say ‘no,’ both Whitney and Bobby are equally to blame…as well as Bobby’s and Whitney’s parents, and their parents, etc., regarding the generational dysfunction that has presented itself in various ways within both the Brown and Houston families. There’s no judgement here though, because MOST of us regular folks have forms of dysfunction within our own families. The only difference is that Bobby’s and Whitney’s was put on front street due to their celebrity status.

Almost 5 Years

It’s hard to believe that it has been almost 5 years since the beautiful daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta town-home Jan. 31, 2015.

Eerily Similar Deaths

Brown passed away in July of 2015, when she was found unresponsive in a bathtub—the same way her late mother, Whitney Houston, was found three years prior.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s face was immersed in water and she was intoxicated with a mix of marijuana, alcohol, morphine and other drugs – both conditions that caused pneumonia that led to her death, a medical examiner said in a statement released.

Morphine was also involved, and “it could not be determined from toxicology tests whether the morphine resulted from heroin use,” the medical examiner’s statement said.

“The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication,” the medical examiner’s office said in the statement.

26 Years Old

March 4th, would have been Bobby Kristina’s 26th birthday. Her dad, Bobby Brown posted a sweet message:

Happy birthday baby girl, your smile lives on forever 💜

Guilty Verdict

Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford ruled in a $50 million wrongful death civil case that Nick Gordon was “legally responsible” for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown.The ruling emanates from a civil lawsuit Bobbi Kristina’s rep filed against Nick, not criminal proceedings.

Following the series of testimonials from Bobby Brown, and friends of Bobbi Kristina , Judge Bedford assessed the damages and losses related to the incident to determine the value of Bobbi Kristina’s life.

“To determine the value of a life is pretty difficult. So the court has been back there primarily struggling with that particular issue,” Bedford said.

The judge awarded more than $36 million, broken down as:

• $1.575 million for money taken from the account, including alleged stolen rings
• $250,000 in punitive damages
• $1.37 million for assault and battery
• $13.8 million for pain and suffering as a result of assault
• $4.2 million in punitive damages
• $15 million for present value of life

In a strange twist of events, Bobbi Kristina’s close friend met a similar fate on August 15, 2018. A friend became concerned after he didn’t return from a bathroom trip, only to find a “worst case scenario” in full effect.

According to TMZ, Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s friend — Max Lomas, who found her near death, inside a bathtub in 2015 — has come upon, essentially, the same fate.

The source reports Max Lomas was found unresponsive, due to an apparent drug overdose. TMZ mentions law enforcement in Mississippi told the source Max was at a friend’s home on August 15.

Lomas eventually went to use the bathroom. However, he reportedly didn’t come right back, and his friend became concerned. Max’s friend allegedly went to check on him and found Lomas unresponsive on the bathroom’s floor.

A syringe was also found near his body, the source states.

According to Page Six, Max Lomas was then rushed to a local hospital. However, he subsequently died after succumbing to the effects of the overdose.

HOW LOMAS TIES INTO BOBBI’S STORY

TMZ reports that Max was actually suspected of being Bobbi Kristina’s drug dealer when she was alive.

The source states he was nevertheless a close friend of the star and was at Bobbi’s home in the hours leading up to her overdose. As aforementioned, Max was the one to find Bobbi unresponsive in a bathtub. He and Brown’s then-boyfriend, Nick Gordon, called paramedics to the scene.

However, doctors were unable to revive her; so, physicians placed her in a medically induced coma in attempts for her body to heal and recover.

She remained on life support for a while; but after some time, her family made the decision to put her on hospice. Shortly thereafter, Bobbi Kristina passed away.

The source mentions that Max Lomas wasn’t found responsible for her death. Instead, in September 2016, a judge found Bobbi’s boyfriend ‘legally responsible’ for her death.

Accordingly, Gordon was ordered to pay $35 million in the lawsuit against Kristina’s family. It’s the family, who alleged that Nick drugged her. To this day, Bobby blames Nick and mourns his daughter’s loss.

People Magazine reports that Max Lomas lived off and on with Bobbi Kristina during her latter years. Interestingly enough, he and Kristina reportedly used to date. According to him, Whitney Houston actually took him in as a troubled teen. Yet, while living there, Lomas and Bobbi Kristina were “romantically in love,” as reports People. “[Whitney] loved that we were dating and always wanted me to protect Krissy,” Kristina’s friend mentioned.

But there really wasn’t much “protecting” happening. In the same interview with the source, he stated: “We were all pretty bad into drugs.”

Unfortunately, Max also stated that weeks before Bobbi’s incident, they had all made a pact to get off drugs. People reports his quote as follows:

“We all decided that we were going to get off drugs, live healthier lifestyles. We all went to the gym together. But it didn’t work out. We started using again.”

Tragically, as it costed Brown her life, Max Lomas met a similarly eerie end.

All in all, this is extremely sad no matter how we look at it. Clearly, those young people both had some serious inner battles they were dealing with that needed to be addressed long before both of their passings.

Whitney & Bobby Abandoned Bobbi Kristina For Years?

Ellen “Aunt Bae” White was like a second mother figure to both Whitney and her now deceased daughter, Bobbi Kristina. During the documentary, Ellen cried as she recalled Whitney’s and Bobby Brown’s battles parenthood.  According to Ellen, soon after Whitney gave birth to Bobbi Kris,’ she checked out of the hospital early and showed up at her doorstep, “hunched over,” with Bobbi Kristina in her arms. Why was Whitney at Aunt Bae’s door with her newborn? According to Aunt Bae Ellen, it was because Whitney was there to ask her to “bathe” Bobbi Kristina and then Ellen alludes that Whitney did not return for ‘months.’ Thats not all though…

Aunt Bae says she pretty much raised Bobbi Kris’ for the first 8 years of her life and that Bobbi lived with her, before Whitney and Bobby Brown supposedly stepped back in to raise their daughter on their own.

Whitney’s sister-in-law/manager, Pat Houston, seemed to have also corroborated Aunt Bae’s revelations in the documentary. Pat revealed that Bobbi Kristina “hated her life,” because she was reportedly always being left at relatives’ homes as a child and wouldn’t see Whitney, nor Bobby for months at a time. This was allegedly during the time when Whitney and then-husband, Bobby Brown, were in the more severe stages of their past drug addictions.

Also, family friend and employee, Laura Baldami, stated that Whitney and Bobby loved Bobbi Kristina dearly, but “didn’t care of Krissy…they just left her to the wolves.”

Okay, now, we all know that clearly, many things went wrong in Bobbi Kristina’s life and/or upbringing, because sadly that beautiful young lady became addicted to drugs, had a reportedly abusive relationship, and ultimately lost her life to drugs and alcohol in 2015. Also, according to Bobby Brown and other family members- her then boyfriend, Nick Gordon’s, abuse at that time, is to blame as well.

It’s also no longer a secret that Whitney and Bobby B. had personal drug struggles of their own. So is it farfetched that two then drug addicted parents would actually ‘abandon their child and leave for months at a time? No, not at all. The one thing that is questionable though, are the repeated pubic appearances little Bobbi Kris’ would make with her parents on red carpets and such. Could it have all been just for show…or a temporary parental outing? Or could the revelations be fabricated just a tad? Who knows? But given the fact Bobby Brown, has not yet spoken against those claims, there may be truth in what’s being said.

Addiction can rob so many people of what is important in life and it’s an everyday battle for anyone recovering from it. All we can hope for now, is that Bobby Brown is continuing on his sobriety path, so that he doesn’t make the same mistakes with his younger children- a point that he, too, has publicly professed in recent years.

No Cure For A Broken Heart:

While filming the highly anticipated biopic, the “My Prerogative” singer has had many chances to reflect on his life. In doing so, he’s had many times where he’s thought of his daughter and her untimely death. When asked about Bobbi Kristina’s death, Bobby was brutally honest about his feelings. “You never really get over it,” he said. Rising star Woody McClain, who portrayed Bobby Brown in The New Edition Story is also reprising his role in the upcoming Bobby Brown biopic. When asked about the film, he too, admitted that there are times when Bobby’s emotions are noticeable, onset. Whenever there are scenes involving Bobbi Kristina, it’s definitely not easy for Bobby. “You would see the emotions on his face, (him) tearing up. I would quickly switch the subject. I don’t want him to relive it again. Those are super tough moments.”

Jesse Collins, the executive producer of The Bobby Brown Story also spoke about Bobby’s struggles admitting he’s still haunted by the tragic death of his daughter. Collins also detailed the biopic’s impact on Bobby. While developing the film, discussing his daughter’s death was especially difficult. “That was the hardest part was getting him to talk about (stuff), especially Bobbi Kris,” Collins said. “Whenever you talk about her, he gets emotional. A loss of a child is something I can’t even begin to fathom. But he got there and explained what happened, the nature of their relationship.”

A Daily Battle:

However, his thoughts of Bobbi Kristina aren’t just because of the film. The singer explained how there are daily reminders of the daughter he lost. “I go through it every day,” he said. “Just the thought of her and looking at my youngest daughter and my other kids, knowing they’ll never get to know their oldest sister is a struggle. It gets rough sometimes. Of course, I have to go through it because I can’t change it.”

The Bobby Brown Story:

If Bobby Brown’s biopic will be anything like The New Edition Story, we can already declare it a success. The publication has reported that the biopic will be a continuation of the group’s story picking up from the point when Bobby initially left the group and became a multiplatinum solo artist. Since the singer went on to have several hits of his own, the film will capture the rise of Bobby as a solo artist. However, it won’t be limited to Bobby’s career.

Fans will also have the chance to see the moment they’ve been waiting for: a true dramatization of Bobby’s marriage to Whitney; the couple’s story told accordingly. The detailed miniseries will shed light on “his highly-publicized drug use, legal woes and tumultuous marriage to [Whitney] Houston.”

ILOSM fam’ we bring you breaking news straight from the ‘Ike & Tina category’ of our ‘WTH?!! files.’ Who had the disgraced honor of making that list today, you ask? That would be none other than Nick Gordon – the reportedly abusive former boyfriend of Whitney’s and Bobby’s late daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown – and his current girlfriend, Laura Leal. After he was arrested a couple days ago for allegedly beating his girlfriend, now she’s turned the tables and she’s taking the blame for the situation. Then, to make matters worse, she’s even begged a judge to let him off the hook…again.

Beggin’ and Pleadin’:

All this drama with Nick and Laura has everybody thinkin’ the same thing: WTH?!! After Nick’s creepy, sinister mugshot – with his newly snatched eyebrows – went viral on social media, people immediately thought Nick looked like the devil himself… or at least “Uncle Scar” from The Lion King.

However, his mugshot was a total 360 from the crying guy on the 911 call. Although police cited that Laura did have visible bruises, Nick’s call made it seem as though he was the one dodgin’ punches. So in a nutshell, it looks like Nick may have thrown a few punches but Laura definitely didn’t go down without a fight. Since she threw a few licks, she reportedly begged the judge to free her man. But that’s not all.

According to The Blast, Laura Leal has even begged the judge to drop their “no contact” order. “I would like to kindly ask you to lift the no-contact order that was placed against Nicholas Gordon and I,” she wrote. “I am not in any kind of fear or danger being around him and would like to be able to contact him as soon as possible.”

Nick’s seemingly love-blinded girlfriend also claims her lip wasn’t busted, just “chapped and dry.” Ummm….yeah. Then, she shifted the blame entirely, taking full responsibility for the incident, citing her previously undisclosed medical condition. “I suffer from severe anger issues in which Nick has been an incredible support to get my act together,” she wrote. “I am seeking help and determined to take the condition seriously as I have been diagnosed bipolar. He is not at blame, and should not be pushed into any trouble or consequences due to my actions.”

With this being the second time they’ve had to call the cops for a domestic incident, this may not be the best idea, but they say ‘love is blind’…and like Eve once rapped, “it’ll take over your mind.”

A Free Man…But His Troubles Ain’t Over:

As of March 12, Nick Gordon posted a $500 bond and was released out of jail. But despite Laura’s attempt to do damage control, the arrest report tells a completely different story. According to US Weekly, Laura claims she’d been hit in the face multiple times after they got into an argument, while driving home from a bar in Sanford, CA. Police officers also noted that her lip was visibly swollen with dried blood. This probably explains the injuries to her lip, but nevertheless, she still insists they were just “chapped.”

Bobby Brown’s Helping Hand:

The latest news follows Bobby Brown’s heartfelt attempt to lend a hand to Nick’s seemingly confused and psychologically broken girlfriend. “Domestic violence killed my daughter, and on March 4, 2018, the Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House held our first event to strike back at domestic violence. I personally would like to extend my hand to Ms. Leal and offer her services through our organization,” the New Edition star said, referring to the nonprofit founded after Bobbi Kristina’s 2015 death. “I do not want to see any more families destroyed at the hands of domestic violence and I do not want any more women to suffer like my daughter did. We are here to assist and we hope to hear from Ms. Leal.”

Since she was the one beggin’ and pleadin’ for a judge to let Nick out, it doesn’t look like she’s willing to take help from anyone at this point.

Investigators Find New Hope For Bobbi’s Case?:

Despite gettin’ out of jail, Nick just keeps ending up on the wrong side of the law for allegedly puttin’ his hands on women. So, it’s probably safe to say this won’t be his last time getting into trouble, although we do hope that it is and he ultimately gets whatever help and/or ramifications he needs. To Bobby Brown, it may seem like Nick has managed to escape the law where Bobbi Kristina’s death is concerned, but Georgia investigators aren’t ready to just let Nick off the hook. Since Nick has been arrested for domestic violence twice in the past year, investigators are seeing a pattern of abuse that they didn’t previously have in order to establish a case against him before.

According to New York Daily News, Georgia investigators have expressed interest in Nick’s recent domestic ‘boxing matches’ with his girlfriend. It has now been reported that Georgia investigators have confirmed that they are aware of Nick’s arrests and the investigation into Bobbi Kristina’s death is not a closed case. In fact, the investigation is still ongoing. Although Nick claims he’s the victim where Leal is concerned, Georgia investigators aren’t ready to look the other way just yet. So, there’s actually still a chance the Brown and Houston families could see Nick going to jail.

But for now, it’s all a waiting game, as investigators work to build a solid case. With all that’s happened between Nick and Laura it’s probably safe to assume this won’t be the last time they have a big argument. But hopefully they’ll soon decide to end their toxic relationship.

Well, fast forward to now and audio has surfaced of the 911 call, which Nick actually placed during the incident. Nick, who appears to stand about 6’0″+ tall, cried hysterically in the 911 call, as he told the dispatcher that Laura, who appears to stand about 5’4″ or so, weighing approximately 135+ lbs, was beating him up.

The 911 Call

During the call, Nick was heard saying, “I feel so lame because I’m getting beat up by a woman,” as Laura is heard in the background yelling at him and at one point screaming something like ‘he called the police and he hit ME in the face!’

What made the call even more Oscar worthy, is that Nick clearly let what appeared to be his true intentions of the call surface- that he knew he was wrong and instead had to hurry up and think of something quick to NOT go to jail, like he did the last time. That was evident by him repeatedly stating to the dispatcher, that Laura has ‘called the cops’ on him before…something that should be totally irrelevant when one is supposedly in the midst of getting brutalized and fearing for their lives. At any rate, as Nick was crying profusely during the 911 call, he then said Laura hit him with a bottle. Once cops arrived, they found a whole ‘notha scenario though, which ultimately backfired on Nick:

Via TMZ: According to the arrest report, obtained by TMZ, Gordon told cops his girlfriend refused to leave his residence after throwing a bottle at him and ripping his shirt. He claims she attacked him for no reason, and that she was “crazy.”

But according to Gordon’s GF, per police, she picked up Gordon from a bar and that while driving back he allegedly struck her in the right side of her face several times. She also says in the report that he pulled her hair and told her he should make her crash her car. Once home, she claims they got into another verbal altercation. The arresting officer says he saw visible marks on the GF, and placed Gordon under arrest even though the woman refused to press charges.

And boom, that’s how Nick ended up with yet another classic mugshot. He placed bail for $500 and was released on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Now, what’s equally as sad is that his girlfriend decided not to press charges on the whom she and officers say clearly beat her. This isn’t the first time Laura Leal has protected Nick, following a brutal fight between them. Many of y’all may recall when Nick was arrested in June 2017, after Laura called the cops on him. At that time, she said she feared she’d ‘end up like Bobbi Kristina.’

How Nick’s Girlfriend Protected Him After Prior Violent Altercation

Her past incident was not enough of a life lesson for Laura Leal apparently, because months after their 2017 fight, she and Nick both did a very odd interview, in which he blamed her and she defended him:

Via DM: “I take full responsibility and that’s why charges were dropped because it really was me [to blame],” [Laura said]. …She explained: “I was in fear of myself and my own anger and fear of what I can push him to. In fear you know of where our argument and hours of delusional actions, just viciousness, might go. She added: “That’s what I really learned. I have my own issues. It’s me. And Nick has been one of the greatest people in my entire life to work through that with me. I have my own anger issues and the best friend that I have by my side is Nicholas Gordon. … “I honestly feared that I had a concussion.” But when asked how she got the concussion, she stalled and outwardly questioned Nick, “Am I saying too much?….Uh…I fell.”

Since then, Bobby Brown -who recently admitted that he wants Nick ‘locked up and raped’ for the death of his daughter, Bobbi Kristina- reached out to Laura to try to help her get out of that volatile relationship:

Via US Weekly: “Domestic violence killed my daughter, and on March 4, 2018, the Bobbi Kristina Brown Serenity House held our first event to strike back at domestic violence. I personally would like to extend my hand to Ms. Leal and offer her services through our organization. I do not want to see any more families destroyed at the hands of domestic violence and I do not want any more women to suffer like my daughter did. We are here to assist and we hope to hear from Ms. Leal.”

Hopefully, Laura Leal and Nick Gordon go their separate ways soon, their relationship is clearly unhealthy and they both appear to need therapy of some sort.

It’s been three years since Bobbi Kristina Brown’s devastating bathtub incident that ultimately led to her death and Bobby Brown is still fighting for justice. By now, everyone knows Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was at the center of controversy and suspected of domestic abuse in the wake of her untimely death. But despite the family’s speculation, Nick is still a free man. So you can imagine how both families feel. Over the years, the Brown and Houston families haven’t always agreed but one thing they all agree on is the fact that they believe Nick Gordon should be behind bars for Bobbi Kristina’s death. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Bobby Brown shared his brutally honest opinion of Nick and how he hopes karma finds its way to Nick’s doorstep.

Bobby’s Brutally Honest Truth About Nick:

Back in 2016, Nick Gordon was ordered to cough up a whopping $36 million to Bobbi Kristina’s estate. Although there was speculation Nick took a lot of money from Bobbi Kristina, we all know there is absolutely no way he’d be able to pay back that type of money because he never had it like that. However, that’s the order he’s faced with and it will probably hinder many aspects of his financial life for many years to come. But despite the obvious, Bobby was asked if the money had been paid to his daughter’s estate and he confirmed it had not. When asked ‘Why?’ Bobby said, “Because he’s still walking around free.”

The “My Prerogative” singer was asked if he felt justice had been served in connection with his daughter’s death. Bobby made it clear he doesn’t feel justice has been served at all:

“Justice? If he was locked up somewhere, where somebody can rape him. That’s just how I feel. He raped me by taking my daughter away.” He continued, “Domestic violence is just the worst s**t in the world… We started the Serenity House because women will go through it and think they are wrong, like it’s their fault. So we’re doing this to build houses, like safe havens, for women that are being abused to get away from the relationship and get some therapy spiritually and mentally.”

On His Sordid Past…:

Whenever you hear Bobby’s name, there’s usually a chance you’ll hear somethin’ about his legendary ex-wife, Whitney Houston. In wake of the sixth anniversary of Whitney’s death, Bobby was also asked a few questions about the late singer. Most fans know all about Bobby and Whitney’s sordid past that was fueled by alcohol and drug abuse. So Bobby was asked if he believes drugs were the reason for Whitney’s death. He offered a relatively different perspective of Whitney’s situation and revealed she was really working on turning her life around. “I don’t think Whitney died from drugs. She was really working hard on herself to try to be a sober person and, um… she was a great woman.”

When asked what he believes led to his daughter’s death, he admitted he believes she ultimately died of a broken heart. As Whitney’s only child, Bobbi Kristina took her shocking death very hard and it was a devastating loss she never really learned to live with. But despite suffering a devastating loss of his own, Bobby explained how he’s come full circle.

A New Beginning:

Bobby also touched on their moments together as a family of three. The New Edition frontman admitted it wasn’t always a happy home. At the time, he was a totally different individual facing many personal battles behind closed doors. Now, things are much different. “It was a different Bobby Brown, I believe. I was sad. I was married and lonely at the same time and that’s hard to deal with. I’m not lonely anymore. I’m not sad. I have nothing to be sad about. My life has treated me well. After everything I’ve been through – heart attacks, strokes, things like that – I’m still standing. I’m moving on with everything from my past and I accept it. I’ve accepted that s**t happens.”

The singer admitted what influenced him to change his life and what keeps him going to this day – family. Bobby Brown has a total of six children, including Bobbi Kristina. In fact, he and his wife, Alicia Etheredge, recently welcomed their first child together. Hendrix Estelle Sheba was born July 30, 2016, just four days after the first anniversary of Bobbi Kristina’s death. Needless to say, the moment in Bobby’s life was bittersweet. Unfortunately, Bobbi was mourning the loss of one daughter while welcoming another. Now, as a new father again, he’s admitted the love of his family has contributed vastly to the positive changes in his life. “The love for my kids. The love that they give me. My older kids know everything about me and they still love me. The love of my wife for her loving me the way she does and holding me down the way she does has been everything for me. It’s been my rock. When I did get sober, I knew that I wasn’t going to turn back. Bobby proclaimed, “I was done with trying to kill myself and beating myself up over different things and petty s**t.

The Serenity House:

Although Bobby Brown lost his angel, he’s started a non-profit organization in hopes that he can impact the lives of other young women silently suffering from the effects of domestic violence as his daughter did. Back in 2015, the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House, which is described as a “non-profit Domestic Violence Safe Haven” was established. The organization works to provide “24-hour crisis intervention, emergency transitional shelter, access to resources/referral services, and advocacy for social change with expert support services for victims and survivors of domestic violence.” Bobby went on to share his take on domestic violence:

“Domestic violence is just the worst s**t in the world … We started the Serenity House because women will go through it and think they are wrong like it’s their fault. So we’re doing this to build houses like safe havens for women that are being abused to get away from the relationship and get some therapy spiritually and mentally. “

To honor Bobbi Kristina and raise awareness about domestic violence, the Serenity House will be hosting the Celebration of Serenity on March 4.

The Confusion

Ever since Bobbi Kristina’s untimely passing, the world has paid homage to her on her official death anniversary, July 26. However, according to Bobby, his daughter actually died well before that actual date. When speaking to USWeekly about how he and his family always keep Bobbi Kristina’s memory alive, Bobby stated that she died three days before his birthday (Feb.5th), which would have instead been February 2, 2015:

Bobby Brown: “We do our private things to honor her. She passed away three days before my birthday, so we definitely honor her at all times,” he said, noting that he would like for fans to remember Bobbi Kristina as someone who “was talented, beautiful and loved life.”

We’re not sure if the February date was a slip up on Bobby’s end, but more than likely it was not. Why? Because he is, after all, talking about the death of his baby. So after further research, we’ve found a possible explanation for Bobby’s date.

Why Bobby Possibly Gave Conflicting Report

As we all know, the horrific details surrounding Bobbi Kristina’s death are heartbreaking. She was found in her bathtub, unconscious with a concoction of several drugs in her system on January 31, 2015. After doctors determined Bobbi Kris’ had “significantly diminished” brain function, they placed her in a medically induced coma and told Bobby Brown that chances of her fully recovering would be a “a miracle.”

By February 2, 2015, it was reported that Bobbi Kristina was relocated to Emory University Hospital, she remained in a coma and on a medical ventilator, never to awake from the coma again. Thus, Bobby’s statement that ‘she died three days before his birthday,’ adds up. Although Bobbi Kristina may have technically taken her last breath, on July 26th, Bobby B. apparently deemed that he’d lost his baby months prior, understandably so.

Even though Bobby concludes that February was her date of passing now, that did not stop him from fighting for Bobbi Kristina throughout the entire process. He held onto immense hope for months and asked fans to pray for his baby girl. Even when Bobbi Kris’ was in hospice in her final days, he still held on and tried one last time, by having a specialist come examine her, only to be told there was nothing more that could be done.

Bobby Has Found Some Light In His Darkness

Bobby Brown and family members, have accused Bobbi’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, of beating her unconscious and then injecting a deadly cocktail of drugs into her system, before placing her into the bathtub on that tragic day.

Therefore Bobby has dedicated his life toward helping other people in that situation. After Bobbi’s passing, he created a non-profit organization, called Bobby Kristina Serenity House, which raises awareness about domestic violence and provides housing and aid to victims.

Bobby B: “I just think people should be aware that they have some place to go. When you are going through bad times and you are going through being abused, Bobbi Kristina’s Serenity House is there for you,” he told Us. “That’s the easiest way I can say it. It’s too much. Too many women and too many men are being hurt by this disease that people have, abusing people. It’s just not right. I need to do something about it.”

On March 4th, Bobby will host the Celebration of Serenity Gala, which would have also been Bobbi Kristina’s 25th birthday.

Bobby Gives Fun Fact About Bobbi Kristina

In a surprising fun fact that Bobby gave about his daughter, it was revealed that Bobbi Kristina had more talent than both of her parents, according to Bobby:

“She was a beautiful young lady. And what she wanted to do with her life, I wish everybody could have seen,” […] Music, entertainment. She was better than me. She was better than her mother. […] Her presence is always around me,” he said. “That’s my baby. There is no way she could disappear from me.”
