In case anyone thought Ralph was just a bomb singer and performer, think again. The R&B legend is a proud papa to four children- sons, Ralph Jr. and Dakari; and daughters, Mariah and Na’Quelle Tresvant- all of whom he’s very close to.

His eldest child, Na’Quelle (28), has just made her Pops a grandfather for the third time. She and her husband welcomed a their son on March 23, 2019. Their latest baby is their third child together and they could not be happier about his birth.

A while back, we reported that Damon Wayans Jr., son of the legendary comedic actor, Damon Sr., has children with a former reality TV star. That news came as a surprise. What also made folks go, ‘Saywhat?!!,’ was that Damon Jr.’s baby mama is the same young lady who had a baby with NBA star, Dwyane Wade – during his supposed “break” from his now actress wife, Gabrielle Union.

Well, fast forward to today and Damon Jr. is now fighting to gain custody of his two teen daughters and he’s making some serious claims about what his ex is doing to both his children, as well as Wade’s son.

Damon Jr. and former Basketball Wives reality TV star, Aja Metoyer, have 13 and 15-year-old daughters. The former lovebirds were high school sweethearts and apparently had a lengthy relationship, until things went sour. By 2013, Aja had a son with Dwyane Wade, who’s now 4 years old. According to court docs, she’s collecting child support for all three of her children. However, Damon is now claiming that she’s not doing right by them, nor her kids in return.

According to The Blast, Damon Jr. is accusing Aja of everything under the sun – including child neglect, being a selfish mother and a unfit parent, who reportedly spend up her kids child support checks on things other than her children. As a result, he is requesting primary physical custody of his daughters. Prior to now, the two shared joint custody and Aja had primary physical custody of their girls:

Via The Blast: “Happy Together” star Damon Wayans Jr. has put his reality star baby mama on notice that he wants to change up their custody arrangement and get full custody of his kids because she’s allegedly not taking their daughter’s education seriously, and he’s also questioning how she’s spending child support money from him and NBA star Dwyane Wade.

According to a declaration by Wayans, he now wants primary custody of the girls during the week, claiming they are “suffering scholastically” because of their mother’s “inability to prioritize their education.” The actor claims the children are “habitually absent” or tardy to class, and lists a host of other issues he says is negatively affecting his children’s education and home life.

Wayans argues that with having primary custody, it is Metoyer’s responsibility to get the children to school on time and make sure they complete their homework.

In addition to the above claims by Damon Jr., he also states in court docs that Aja “puts her own needs before those” of her children. The Blast reported that one such example he listed, is when she reportedly took one of their daughters on a cruise for vacation when the girls was actually scheduled to be in summer school, so that she wouldn’t flunk out of class.

But wait…there’s more…

He also claims that Metoyer retaliates against him when the two have personal disputes by denying him access to the girls.

The actor brings up the situation with D-Wade in his documents alleging Metoyer is irresponsibly spending child support money: “I do not know how [Metoyer] spends the child support money she receives from me or the father of [Metoyer’s] other child, a 4-year-old whose father is basketball star Dwayne [sic] Wade.”

He claims that his daughters are routinely left alone to care for 4-year-old Xavier, and says the instability is causing a major problem for all the children.

Damon Wayans Jr. and Aja Meteoyor are due in court for a custody mediation on October 31, the morning of Halloween. But, pretty sure ghosts n goblins won’t be the scary thing she’s spooked about that day though.

Montel Williams Jr. is now an MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter, which is one of the most brutal contact sports ever! He’s been in the sport for about four years and has beat down some tough opponents in the process. Montel Sr. posted the above photo on Instagram in March of this year (2016) to show how proud he was of his son.

Many wonder why he chose such a violent career, because he didn’t need the money, but see why Montel Jr. says he does it…

MONTELL JR. DOESN’T DO IT FOR THE MONEY…

In an interview with Total Sports Live, Montel Jr. (picture above left, with teammate) made it crystal clear that he’s not in the MMA for the money, but for his love of the sport:

Sponsors have approached him relentlessly, but his focus is in the art of fighting and having no distractions.

[Montel Jr.]: “… My priority is not making money or being sponsored, just do, destroy whatever warm body they put in front of me.”

Everything about MMA is a challenge and having sponsors will only hinder his focus. In order to be successful in this field Williams Jr. shares his mission.

[Montel Jr.]:“To excel my skills I need to voluntarily go into practice every day and get beaten up, but when you love something you don’t look at it as something that is a challenge or a feat, only the path that you must walk.”

It’s been nearly 12 years since the iconic James Brown left this earth and still, his will has not been honored and his children, wife, and estate overseers are all still at war. There is more drama than a lil’ bit surrounding the Godfather of Soul’s $100 million estate and some hella fishy goings-on happening behind the scenes.

Family Was Shocked After Receiving Details Of Brown’s Will

As we previously reported, James Brown’s children were beyond shocked to learn who his will left the bulk of his 100M’s to. His will stated that $2 million worth of scholarship money were to go to his grandchildren; and his costumes and household items- worth approximately $2million- were to be divided among his 6 children. However, the other approximately $98MILLION was to go to the  I Feel Good Trust to provide scholarships for children in South Carolina (his hometown) and Georgia.

Needless to say, there have been several lawsuits filed to contest the authenticity of Brown’s will. There are also pending lawsuits contesting several other factors, including copyright percentages and whether or not Tommie Hynie was even James Brown’s wife in the first place. Even James’ and Tommie’s 16 year-old son has filed a lawsuit.

Wife Mysterious Business Move After Marriage To Brown Questioned

The good thing is that Brown’s kids, grandkids and wife, apparently fought for a percentage of the copyrights of Browns 900-song catalog. But as of 2018, a new lawsuit against Tommie was filed.

As Brown’s kids and wife continued to battle over the $100M estate, questions about Tommie and Brown’s marriage began to surface. The children legally disputed if Tommie Hynie is entitled to any money at all. Why? Because Tommie was reportedly married to someone else in 2001, when she and James wed:

Via NYTimes: Ms. Hynie…was apparently married to another man in 2001 when she wed Mr. Brown, a circumstance that led to the legal challenge of her status. Mr. Brown had filed for an annulment at one point, but a South Carolina judge ruled in 2015 that she had been the wife and was a legal heir, and that her child, James Brown II, was Mr. Brown’s son.

After suspicions surfaced about the authenticity of their marriage, Tommie pulled an eyebrow raising move. One that reportedly attempts to draw attention away from questions about her marriage to James, according to a new federal lawsuit, filed by some of James Brown’s children:

Via NYTimes: Ms. Hynie sold her share of the termination rights to just five of Mr. Brown’s 900-some compositions to Warner/Chappell, a large song publisher, for nearly $1.9 million. […] The federal suit charges that Ms. Hynie and James Brown II [16] made deals regarding these rights without fully informing Mr. Brown’s other children and grandchildren, and thus “conspired to unlawfully deprive plaintiffs of their valuable termination interests.” It says Ms. Hynie agreed to give back 65 percent of her share of the termination rights to the estate in exchange for its dropping the challenge to her spousal status, and it questions why she would agree to turn over such a potentially large benefit.

“The Estate of James Brown has long been marred by dubious back-room dealings between the Estate and James Brown’s putative wife, Tommie Rae Hynie, as described in our lawsuit,” a lawyer for the children and grandchildren, Marc Toberoff, said in a statement.

According to James Brown’s close friend, Charles Bobbit, Brown warned him that, “It’s gonna be a big mess when I die, Mr Bobbit. A big mess. Stay out of it.”

I’ll be the first to admit that while I have great respect for Madonna- as a fearless, pop icon,- she can work on my last nerve. In particular, I get annoyed by her repeated unenthusiastic tributes to soul legends at awards shows and such, but I digress. HOWEVER, there are times when I gain a newfound respect for the music OG and lo and behold, one of those times would be now.

Upon realizing that Madonna has been truly dedicated to helping the beautiful people of Malawi, Africa, I had to tip my hat to her. Speaking of her Malawi charitable efforts, that brings us to her adorable Malawian twins, whom she adopted last in February 2017.

Happy Birthday To Ya!

As many of y’all may know by now, throughout the past 12 years or so, Madonna has seemingly been on a mission to build her very own multi-cultural family, much like the one Josephine Backer created and affectionately labeled her “Rainbow Tribe.”

Madonna has four adopted children and two biological. Her last adoption (in early 2017) was when she adopted Stella and Estere when they were 4 years old, during one of her many visits to Malawi. Soon after adopting the little girls, Madonna moved them and her other two adopted children- David and Mercy- to Lisbon, Portugal. Pretty sure the sudden environmental, societal, and financial switch – from a poor Malawian town, to an ultra wealthy lifestyle with their new mom, Madonna- had to be a bit of an adjustment for the twins. Take one look at them now though and everything seems to be all good with the cutie-patooties.

In fact, they appeared to be having a blast on their 6th birthday, when they celebrated it for a few days straight in August of this year (2018). Madonna took to social media to share video and photos of her babies with her fans. Check them out gettin’ their b-day party on below…

The Elephant In The Room

Of course there have been some people who feel that it is wrong for wealthy White celebrities to adopt poor African children. The reasons behind such outlooks are wide ranging and understandable. Some say that African children need certain parental imagery and psychological needs that requires the experience of a Black parent. Others argue that White celebs tend to ignore the Black American orphans who are need of adoption right here in America, yet snatch up African kids from their homeland, as if they’re a commodity, or trendy acquisition. All of those arguments are very valid concerns that need to be discussed, but there is also a great benefit that we also cannot deny. If celebs, like Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, etc., are sincerely concerned about the welfare of their adopted children, then who are we to judge them about that?

Hopefully, all of Madonna’s adopted Malawian kids- Estere, Stella, David, and Mercy- have a great sense of who they are as strong African people and a great sense of self as their own individual person.

How Madonna’s Helping Children In Malawi

It seems like Madonna does her best to keep them in tune with their Malawian roots- she often visits Malawia with them. Also, as of 2017, Madonna opened the Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care in Malawi, a children’s hospital built by her Raising Malawi charity. In doing so, she’s greatly increased the amount of pediatric health care for the entire country of Malawi, which has a 17 million citizens:
[Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care] provide intensive care services for children and increase the number of pediatric surgeries performed at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital. Mercy James Institute of Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care is a modern, fully equipped pediatric surgery and intensive care unit at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in the city of Blantyre, Malawi’s commercial and financial center.

Prior to the opening of the MJIPSIC, the Queen Elisabeth Central Hospital had less than five intensive care beds. The entire country of 17 million people, of whom 15 percent were aged less that 15 years, had less than five pediatric surgeons. The new institute addresses both those problems. It serves as a teaching facility for Malawian pediatric surgeons. –Source
So in closing, Madonna is a great mom, but a terrible choice for MTV’s 2018 Video Music Awards Aretha Tribute, just as she was for Billboard Award’s Prince tribute…just saying. Still got love for you though Madonna!

If you’re a fan of What’s Happening or Good Times, chances are you have seen actress, Ja’Net Dubois’ (“Willona”) REAL LIFE daughter and didn’t even know it. She’s made several appearances on those two shows in the 70’s. She was always cast as the ‘pretty girl’ or the ‘puppy love interest’ of one of the male characters on the show.

Her most memorable role probably came from the What’s Happening “Shirley’s Date” episode in the video below, where she played the girl who got stood up by “Dwayne” and threw a drink in his face. She’s played a student, a cheerleader and various other roles on Good Times and What’s Happening between 1976 and 1979. Check out this throwback video clip of Ja’Net’s daughter, Rani Dubois, here…

An Old School fun fact about Ja’Net Dubois, is that although she played the best friend of JJ’s mother, “Florida,” she is only 2 years older than Jimmie Walker (“JJ”). Wow, who knew? Ja’Net is 73 years young and Jimmie is 71. Wouldn’t have thought that based on their roles on Good Times.
Another fun fact is that Ja’Net Dubois and Janet Jackson are still very close and Janet sees her as a mentor.

Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, is doing a lil’ damage control right about now. You see, she’s long since been known for having her father’s equal rights activism type of spirit- she speaks out on various issues including politics, civil rights, the need for the uplifting of poorer communities, etc. Yet, she’s apparently pissed off one the groups that she’s typically known for advocating for as well- the LGBT community.

Paris is on the latest issue of Hapar’s Bazarre Singapore magazine cover. The problem is that Singapore is known for it’s anti-gay laws. Therefore, she’s catching all kinds of hell for being an openly bisexual woman and posing for a magazine who distributes to such a country.

Paris Responds To Being Called A Hypocrite

A publication by the name of Gay Star News retweeted Paris’ Hapar’s Bazarre magazine cover with the caption, “C’mon,” and subsequently slammed the hell outta her in an article of their own.

Paris immediately responded with this:

“i didn’t know, i am sorry. i was grateful for the opportunity, but i’ll delete the post now. i don’t want to be hypocritical or hurt anyone, and my support for my fellow LGBTQ+ community comes first before my love for fashion and gratitude for this opportunity. again, i’m sorry.”

After probably sifting through more comments on her social media timelines and noticing the continued backlash she was getting, Paris came back with more tweets:

“i would like to add though that someone that is openly apart of the community being on the cover in a country against the community, should be celebrated. isn’t that a step forward? again, i am deeply sorry. i didn’t mean to be hypocritical or hurt anyone. … also that article is ridiculously mean.”

A member of the LGBT community let Paris know everything was all good as far as they’re concerned:

“I’m part of the LGBTQ community and I don’t understand the problem??,” the commenter wrote.

Paris appreciated their kind words, but still blasted off off about the fact that folks are out here calling her a hypocrite:

“calling me a hypocrite for being apart of the community and being on the cover of a fashion magazine in a country where same sex marriage is illegal. (the magazine is not just in singapore, it was supposed to go to several several dif countries) i apologized to those i offended. i stay at home for a week recovering, recalibrating, in my pajamas watchin cartoons n cuddling my dog, not doing anything wrong… nd people still find ways to write horribly rude mean and hurtful things about me. STILL try to find anything to get mad at me for. #tallpoppysyndrome

they will find anything to try to attack my integrity and character. whenever i do something positive they always twist it. the tabloids and media have been like this for decades and decades, it’s very sad.”

Sergio Hall’s dad is Damion Hall and his uncle is Aaron Hall of the group, Guy. Damion and Sergio look more brothers than father and son, don’t they?

AARON HALL’S CONTROVERSIAL MOMENTS

The controversy surrounding Aaron Hall didn’t really surface until more recent years. During a 2014 DJVlad interview, Aaron shared some personal details about his life that caught many fans by surprise. Since what he said is too vulgar to repeat here, we’ll sum it up for you:

1. Aaron Hall publicly revealed that he literally took his baby momma/model, Gloria Velez, off the arm of 2 Live Crew’s, Luke Skywalker, in a club and had sex with her on the first night.

2. He also said many celebs have been in the room while he was having sex with females back in the day, including Puffy and Jodeci.

3. Aaron made it no secret throughout the years that he did not like his fellow Guy member, Teddy Riley, even calling him a “square nig&a.” Fortunately Teddy and Aaron squashed their beef.
