In one online post, Alexis posted the following throwback pic of herself with her sis,’ Kim Fields, and mother, Chip Fields. Her caption paid homage to both of them, while also detailing the struggles and hard work they endured back in the day:

“On May 12, 1969, my mother gave birth to my sister, Kim, at the age of 17. She had no idea what God would do in their lives. She was a young mother, but she was strong and determined. So, nevertheless, she persisted. They didn’t have much, but that strong, young mother eventually found a way to make it to California to give them both a better life. And better it was. When they arrived, they had a song they would sing….”Look out world….look out Hills….here comes Chip…and Kim Fields….” They came and they conquered. They continue to be fearless and strong. They continue to pave the way and set the bar. This is the legacy I was blessed to be born into. God has had a plan since the beginning. I’m so grateful for the strength of my mother. R.I.P.- “Facts Of Life’s” “Mrs. Garrett” Passes Away, Co-Stars Pay Beautiful Homage

ILOSM family we have sad news today, Charlotte Rae Lubotsky a.k.a. “Mrs. Garrett” (or “Mrs. G” as “Jo” lovingly called her on the show) has passed away at age 92. Most of us, Old Schoolers, remember “Mrs. Garrett” as the quirky, kind-hearted house-mother at the boarding school where “Tootie” (Kim Fields), “Natalie” (Mindy Cohn, “Jo” (Nancy McKoen), and “Blair (Lisa Whelchel) lived.

Here is what Associated Press reported about the details of Charlotte’s passing:

Charlotte Rae…died at her Los Angeles home Sunday with her family at her side, said her publicist, Harlan Boll. A cause of death was not immediately available, but Rae was diagnosed last year with bone cancer after beating pancreatic cancer, Boll said. […] In addition to son Larry, she is survived by sister Miriam Guten and three grandchildren.

“Mrs. Garrett” first made her entrance into primetime TV on the classic sitcom, “Diff’rent Strokes,” as the housekeeper for “Willis'” (Todd Bridges) and “Arnold’s” (Gary Coleman) adoptive ‘family.’ In fact, it was Charlotte Rae, who in 1978 (after just one season on “Diff’rent Strokes”) pitched the “Mrs. Garrett” spin-off idea to the network’s producers. Then, lo and behold, the long-running “Facts Of Life” sitcom was bred.

Co-Stars Pay Touching Tribute

As soon as news began to spread, that “Mrs. Garrett” had taken her final breathe, both her “Facts of Life” and “Diff’rent Strokes” fam’ paid homage to her on social media.

“Mrs. Garrett’s” 2017 Statement After Diagnosis

Via EW: “I found out I have bone cancer,” she said in a statement. “About seven years ago, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer — which is a miracle that they found it because usually, it’s too late. My mother, sister, and my uncle died of pancreatic cancer. After six months of chemotherapy, I was cancer-free. I lost my hair, but I had beautiful wigs. Nobody ever knew. So now, at the age of 91, I have to make up my mind. I’m not in any pain right now. I’m feeling so terrific and so glad to be above ground. Now I have to figure out whether I want to go have treatment again or opt for life. … I love life. I’ve had a wonderful one already … I’ve had a great life, but I have so many wonderful things happening. I’d like to choose life. I’m grateful for the life I’ve already had.”

“Mrs. Garrett’s” Personal Life Struggles

On the show, Mrs. Garrett gave her girls life lessons about serious topics, including AIDS, rape, dating, etc. and in real life, Charlotte Rae was continuing to offer lessons to the world, by using the pains, triumphs and challenges of her own life. In her memoir, “The Facts of My Life,” Charlottte disclosed that she was once an alcoholic but had 44 years of sobriety and that her husband had revealed to her he was bisexual, which was devastating for her. However nothing was more devastating for Charlotte, than when her autistic son, Andy, passed away at age 44 in 1999.

When she was 91, Charlotte Rae gave one last life lesson:

Via EW: “At 91, every day is a birthday. [In my book] I want to tell everybody to celebrate every day, to savor the day and be good to yourself, love yourself, and then you can be good to others and be of service to others.”

May Charlotte Rae Lubotsky now rest peacefully with her beloved son.

Alexis- or as we also refer to her as, actress Chip Fields,’ youngest baby- is better known as the teen actress from several 90’s sitcoms, including “Sister, Sister,” “Moesha,” “Kenan and Kel,” and “Roc.” Well people, those were her youngin’ years and she was a cute little lady back then, but now she’s is ALL woman and heating up the internet somethin’ SERIOUS!

Fans have just caught wind of Alexis’ latest sexy photos that she’s been posting of her bangin’ post two-babies body, which she obviously achieved through hard work and dedication in the gym. Back in the day she was always more on the slender side, but now things done changed. Okay so let’s talk. For real. 1st, yes my room has clothes everywhere. Now on to the point… After I had my son, my ab muscles separated (diastasis recti) and I had a really bad hernia. I was told I couldn’t work out because it would only make it worse. With no way to “get my body back” it was hard emotionally. My husband and I talked and I decided to have surgery to correct it. I was scared, especially since I had just had an emergency c-section a little over a year before (my son was too comfy in my stomach and cuddled up under my ribcage. Fun. Not really). Anyway, going under the knife is no joke. But my doctor was AMAZING and all went well. Almost a year later, I was taking some medication and gained weight. A lot of weight. I couldn’t fit any of my clothes. A lot of tears flowed. But I was blessed with two healthy children. How could I complain, right? I was still sad. It was mixed with a little Postpartum if I’m being completely honest. Okay, a lot of Postpartum. I told you I was gonna keep it 💯. Anyway, here we are a year later and I’m working my way back to my comfortable weight. I’m working out at home, drinking lots of water and trying to eat better. TRYING. I’m sharing this picture I took tonight because 1. I like it. 2. I know the struggle after you have children. You may not be able to afford surgery, but don’t give up on yourself. We have a right to be whatever feels sexy to us. Whatever feels HAPPY to us. So don’t look at pics on IG and be discouraged. Get excited and get that ass to work. I know I am! Kim Fields Getting Bashed Over Her New Bold Look, But Are People Being Too Hard On Her?

Ever since Kim Fields left The Real Housewives of Atlanta (season 8) in 2016, she kinda fell off of the scene for a minute. Well now, Kim a.k.a “Tootie a.k.a. “Regine” is back with a new look and a new business move. She’s just began promotion for her upcoming movie, A Question of Faith, and has suddenly been making several appearances on television and such. The thing is, on social media, homegirl’s new look has become just as (if not more) popular as the movie she’s promoting.

Kim Fields has always had more of a wholesome look to match her more squeaky clean image, which seems to come naturally for her. So when she surfaced on Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, rockin’ long, red weave and a more edgy outfit, it apparently took fans by surprised. Some felt that Kim is trying to be something other than what she is with the look. Others even confused her with actress, Raven Symone, whose known for wearing edgy, vibrant colored hairdos.

Kim Field’s is known as many things- ‘Tootie’ from Facts of Life, ‘Regine’ from Living Single, a former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast star, and much more. But before any of those accolades, she was first and foremost known as actress, Chip Fields,’ first born baby.

Now who could forget Mama Chip? Any Old Schooler knows her as ‘Lynetta Gordon,’ the evil, iron burning, abusive mother of ‘Penny’ (Janet Jackson) on Good Times. Chip played that role so well that she had kids everywhere scared of her, but thankfully she is NOTHNG like “Penny’s” momma in real life. Kim and her sister/actress Alexis can attest to that.

Overall, Chip Fields is blessed to have influenced both of her daughters, Kim and Alexis (who starred in several 90’s sitcoms, including Roc, Moesha, Sister-Sister and more), in both their professional and personal lives. Kim Fields Shocked Many When She Revealed If She’ll Return To “RHOA”

Kim Fields has finally revealed her decision that many have been asking- Will she be returning to the drama, catfight filled, yet entertaining reality show, “Real Housewives of Atlanta?”

After some of the other stars on the show have taken jabs at her husband’s sexuality; have thrown shade at her by claiming that Kim acted as if the show and all of the cast were beneath her; and they have also called her out for her lack of understanding of how to separate ‘Mommy time’ from ‘girl time;’ Kim has revealed her decision about whether or not she will return to RHOA next season.

The answer is *que drumroll*….NO, “Tootie” ain’t having it! Kim Fields has decided to throw in her RHOA pass and kick off her stilettos to return back to her regular life of carpooling, burping babies, and having family days at the park. In between fulfilling her Mommy duties, she will also be on the upcoming season of “Dancing With The Stars.” We ain’t mad at you Kim, do your thing!

Here is what Kim revealed about her decision to leave on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show:

“Feels like Brett Favre and the Jets, you know — I’m done.

I mean, and think about too, at the beginning of the season, what did my mama say? ‘Get in and Get out’… listen to your mama!

It was for the experience, it was to be able to do a genre that I’d been asked to do before and finding a way to do it that makes sense for my team and my family.

Overall it was a really great experience.”

Kim Fields’ Husband Goes OFF On Instagram About One of The ‘Housewives!’

Before this season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta aired, we were all hoping that Kim Fields wouldn’t succumb to the ratchetness that can sometimes be the overtone of the show (although it is entertaining), and she’s managed to successfully keep it classy, without allowing any of the ladies to pull her outside of her character, so a big hand clap and Old School fist bump to Kim for that! It wasn’t until her cast mate, Kenya Moore, took shots at her first and then her husband, Christopher, that we saw Kim loose her religion a just lil’ bit when she cursed on the show, LOL.

Well NOW, her husband has joined in to blast back at not only some of the housewives- in particular, Kenya- who has made several comments on the show that she thinks he’s gay and even called him “zesty Chrissy,” -he’s also clapped back at a fan on Instagram for confronting him about the drama.

For starters, Christopher had to tell the fan that he is a “proud, straight, married man,” just before he proceeded to call Kenya a “Thot”…”with a waist trainer, plastic surgery, and fake eyes.”

The rant kicked off when a fan on Instagram went to Christopher’s page to ask him what he was gonna do about Porsha Williams’ gay comments about him:

Commenter: So @christopherlmorgan last night Porsha made jokes about you snapping your neck and shaking your hair which are gay insinuations…there have been many…Are you and your wife going to call her out and oh yes again Phaedra laughed.

After a brief convo with the commenter where Christopher tried to keep it civilized, he eventually got fed up and said this:

Christopher: Forget what people say! Most of the time they full of it anyway! The people around me know me as a strong man husband and father, who cares what a Thot with no chance of a man [sic] me thinks?! Hold your worth higher black man. Lesson: If a person in layers of makeup with several plastic surgeries, a waist trainer, a weave, fake nails, fake eyes and 4 inch heels calls you “ugly”, laugh hysterically!!!! You win!!!

Then the fan said Christopher shouldn’t discriminate against who he takes shots at and said this to Chris:

Sexuality doesn’t define manhood either, but if you are going to call out one person for insinuating such you should call out ALL parties, or it starts to look hypocritical. I never called anybody out? I questioned the source used. No one claimed to have a ‘mutual friend in the business’ save one person. When you lie and claim there is an authority, you stepped in it. Authorities can be verified. If you really just wanna defend Kenya, do that sh*t elsewhere son, I’m on my day off! You can’t call someone a hypocrite if you don’t know the whole story…

Now that the last episode for RHOA has aired, I still have the exact same question that I had before it started and that is ‘Why in the world is Kim Fields on this show diluting her class with a dash of ratchet?’ That’s not to any doing of her own, but sometimes reality TV can make an authentic preacher (key word being ‘authentic’) look like a pimp, let’s just keep it 100, like the youngins say. We still love you though “Tootie!” Thanks for keeping it classy!

Uh Oh!!! Kim Fields Goes OFF On Real Housewives’ Kenya In Instagram Rant!

Kim Fields is sick and tired of being sick and tired and she has just about had it up to HERE with her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Kenya Moore a.k.a. ‘Ms. Twirl Queen.’ I guess Kim, just like the rest of us, didn’t get a peak at last night’s episode until it actually aired on T.V. and after she heard all of the smack Kenya was talking about her husband, Christopher, when she made claims that he was gay and “fruity,” Kim clapped back with the quickness.

As soon as the show aired, Kim decided to let it all out in an Instagram rant. Here is her message to Kenya:

#RHOA… #WTF kind of time traveling “source” are you that you can make me married to someone diff when you did your ONE ep of #LivingSingle? I’ve told you keep my family out of your unimportant irrelevant mouth. As I said in #Jamaica, my husband’s industry calls him by his professional name only, with the utmost respect for who he is as a performer AS WELL AS a dedicated #husband a #father, whereas you have no industry let alone one that calls you. Magical to me that “fake” is actually what is SO desperately desired. A good marriage is work, work we love; we are both on our second, so we know how to be out if it’s not the right fit, for any reason. Shame on anyone who continues to try to tear down #marriage and families, especially in the name of storyline. BTW, I have NEVER “come for you” in my life. #TRUETOMYSELF‬ #FAMILY‬ #MARRIAGEMATTERS‬

We still don’t quite get why Kim- a classy legendary actress- is on Real Housewives, because she isn’t the wild, reality show type, but if nothing else, the show has folks talking about her again, which is always a good thing. Some may say that Kenya is hitting below the belt with her gay allegations, and yeah she is, but welcome to reality TV Kim Fields, where all is far in love and war…and ratchetness. I wonder if Kim is gonna think twice before re-upping on next season’s contract though.
