Tiffany Haddish once hung out with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith while she was admittedly high…and it was funny as hell. While promoting the film, “Girls Trip,” a while back…Tiffany stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live!  and shared a hilarious story about taking Will Smith and her co-star Jada Pinkett-Smith on a swamp tour.

It All Started With A Groupon:

Jimmy Kimmel asked Tiffany Haddish if the set resembled a bachelorette environment, or if Will Smith was allowed on the set. Excited to share, Haddish revealed that Will not only came to the set, but she went out to dinner with Jada and Will. Wearing a very nice dress, Jada and Will treated Haddish to a lovely, expensive dinner.

“I thought ‘Ooh this is it. I’m about to make it,” she joked about the invite.

During dinner, Jada asked Tiffany what were her plans for the following day, because the cast was off. Haddish revealed that she was planning to go on a swamp tour in New Orleans, La., which she’d already purchased tickets for on Groupon. Since she knew no one in the N.O., she was planning to go alone. To her surprise, the Smith’s insisted on joining, and Haddish didn’t believe them. So, she smoked weed before heading out on the tour because she said she wanted the experience to be similar to a Disney movie (though we’re not quite sure what that meant).

Anywho…Tiffany confessed to Jimmy Kimmel that she was shocked when she realized the Smiths really intended on joining her, so she tried to sober up really fast. Haddish jokingly drove to their hotel to ride with them in their SUVs, along with their security. However, to her surprise, Will and Jada decided to ride with her. This put the pressure on Tiffany to be an excellent driver,  she jokingly shared that she didn’t want to be the person to “kill” the “Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.”

“All I could think was ‘Tiffany, you need to be as careful as possible,” she explained of her stress while driving the Smiths to the swamp. “You don’t wanna be the b*tch on TMZ who killed the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

Upon arriving to the Swamp tour, Haddish shared that Jada was surprised so many people were at the Swamp boat tour as she was confused about the meaning of Groupon. Pinkett believed that Groupon meant a private tour with a group on a boat, according to Haddish. That’s what happens when one has long money like the Smith’s, and haven’t needed to use a coupon in decades, LOL.

Many of the people on the tour asked for photos and cheered when the couple got on the boat. Tiffany noted that Will Smith was so taken by the experience, that he turned to Haddish and said, “I gotta get me one of these.” Haddish responded, thinking that he wanted to get one of the ferry boats before he clarified that he wanted a whole doggone swamp!

“I was like, ‘You’re gonna buy a whole ecosystem?” Haddish said.

In case you thought it was just a joke, it appears that it’s all true. Jada told the same story on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Candidly, she revealed that she had no idea what Groupon was. Upon finding out that it was not a private tour, she panicked, revealing that she’s very protective of Will. She didn’t want the situation to get crazy. However, Jada said that she had the best time and she even gave a special shoutout to Groupon.

Rap legend/actor, Common (49), has never been married. However, he was once convinced he’d found his “Make It Last Forever” partner in Erykah Badu– who clearly has the profound ability to alter her men into alternative, vegan, incense burning dudes, and ain’t nothing wrong with that, but I digress…

Anywho…in a 2019 interview with People Magazine — to promote his then-new memoir, “Let Love Have The last Word” — Common yet again gave the world a very honest view into his love for his ex-girlfriend, Badu.

In the past, Common’s made it no secret that Erykah was “my first love and my first heartbreak.” Almost two decades later, he’s still being asked about the neo-soul pioneer that broke his heart in his late 20s.

This go ’round, Common revealed that after Erykah Badu ‘broke up with him over the phone’ (as he once stated in a prior interview), he was so depressed, that he couldn’t even muster up the will to eat…dayumn! Peep what else the MC had to say about his first love, Badu, and their past two-year (2000 – 2002) relationship:

“Some of the hardest work I’ve done on myself has been after breakups,” Common told People. “With Erykah Badu, that was my first love where you’re just open and floating. When we split, I was 27 or 28. I was in a haze, just going through the motions. It was hard to eat. It wasn’t her fault, the relationship just didn’t go forward.”

Common said his next public relationship — presumably with Serena Williams — was equally as heartbreaking and finally pushed him into therapy:

“I was in another breakup after that that was heavy,” he says without specifying which relationship. “That one honestly is what sent me to therapy.”

FYI- Serena and Common were a thing from 2008 to 2010. They seemed hella happy together at that time, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Common’s next public relationship was with political analyst, Angela Rye, but that didn’t last long, and they called it quits in 2018.

After the aforementioned relationships, Common confessed in 2019 that he was lookin’ for love again and says the therapy sessions had prepped him to finally be the man he wanted to be to the next love of his life at that time:

“Talking about my intimacy avoidance and love addiction was an “aha” moment for me,” he says of traits he’s learned about himself in therapy. “The more you talk, the more you see the patterns you created for yourself. … I’m open to a relationship now. I know how to communicate like an adult now. I want to be the best partner I can be.”

Queens Of Comedy

In The Hollywood Reporter‘s annual Comedy Actress Roundtable discussion Haddish, along with other funny ladies including Regina Hall and Maya Rudolph, discusses how Hollywood treats its actresses with very scandalous behavior. And since the actresses interviewed are recognized for their comedic performances their answers were both hilarious, and heartbreaking. Especially Haddish, who admitted to using very sneaky measures to hear the real feedback from her auditions after she left the room.

You know what I’d do? I’d put my phone on voice memo and put it in my bag, I’d do the audition, walk out and leave my bag. Then I’d come back and be like, “Oh, I forgot my purse.”

Haddish admits the things she heard shocked her, commenting that they would say things like “She is not as urban as I thought she’d be.” Or, “She is so ghetto.” “Her boobs aren’t big enough.” “I really think we should just go with a white girl.” However she used their feedback to her advantage.

I want to hear so that I can write jokes about it. That and also so that I use it to my advantage and grow. Like all this, “Jeez, she can’t read. She said every word wrong.” And I’m like, “They’re right.” So, I start reading out loud more and practicing and it helps me in the long run.

Perhaps her resilience comes from growing up in a less than ideal home where she literally had to fight for her life to survive.

Tiffany’s Life Ain’t Been Easy

Last year in a candid interview with Vanity Fair Tiffany spoke about her upbringing in foster care as well as the challenges she faced in her early days as a comedian. One story in particular was about how fellow comedian Kevin Hart gave her money when she was living in her car.

Kevin gave me $300, told me to get a room for a week, and I was like, “I don’t know where you can get a room for a week in Los Angeles for $300, that’s impossible.” But I got me a motel room, and he told me to write out a list of goals and start doing something every day toward those goals.

So, I got a room that you could get by the hour up on Martin Luther King and Western at this place called the Snooty Fox, which is really like the ho stroll, but I just wanted to take a shower, take a little nap, write out my list. I wrote: Get myself an apartment. Do these things, all these people I wanna work with, everything. I pretty much tackled almost all those goals.

Since that time Tiffany has been making all of her dreams come true, but she must still feel the scars from those former days because she has taken to Twitter to express how she’s still dealing with her past trauma.

“Yes this happened. I wish it was better Miami…I prayed on it and I have a strong feeling this will never happened again.” Apparently she had partied extensively before the show, she revealed it carried on till the morning and “Ciroc is still in my system.”

Tiffany Haddish appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night where she laid out the events that led to the show. Haddish explained that the show was a fail due to her being overworked.

For several years now, comedian, Katt Williams, has taken jabs at Kevin Hart for various reasons. In particular, for his comedic abilities, or according to Katt, his lack thereof. For the most part, Kevin has sat back, without responding to Katt’s claims, but early Friday, the brotha must’ve woken up on a different side of the bed or something. Why? Because this time, he held NOTHING back, with the way he checked the hell outta Katt!

It was interesting, especially since Tiffany Haddish- the very person Katt recently dissed, then bowed down to…literally– was sitting there right next to Kev,’ when he was slammin’ Katt something SERIOUS!

Kev’ Goes OFF on Katt!

It all went down during an interview with The Breakfast Club morning radio show. Katt and Tiff’ were there to promote their upcoming movie, Night School and while there, the topic of Katt Williams and his recent shade toward both of them arose. That’s when Kevin Hart unleashed on his fellow comic.

Hart feels that Katt is just a hater now, because his reign is over:

“My frustration for Katt Williams is this- You keep pointing your finger at Hollywood, the White man, this, this, and this. When do you take responsibility for your actions? You had the shot! You were set up to be the star. You didn’t show up to work! You f**ked off promo shoots! You f**ked up the …promo trips they had set up for you. You became a risk to the studios, which is why the studios stopped f**kin’ with you.”

When asked why he thinks that Katt has turned off studio houses and didn’t capitalize on many opportunities, Kevin went straight to the gut with:

“He chose drugs.”

He continued:

“Take responsibility for what you chose and say, ‘You know what? I’mma fix me and then I’mma come back and stand up for comedy.”

Kevin wasn’t done with Katt just yet. He then talked about Katt’s recent bashing of his homegirl and co-star, Tiffany Haddish:

“So when you say, ‘Tiffany Haddish is not a star and doesn’t deserve…or isn’t a comedian, and these other women have worked hard,’ which they HAVE!”

However, Hart also pointed out that Tiffany has also worked just as hard.

In addition to all of that- because he said a mouthful- Kevin also thinks that Katt is selfish, by sitting back criticizing others who came after him in the game, but never reaching back to help them:

“Katt Williams, have you ever used your platform to f**king bring the people that were under you up? You haven’t! So, because you haven’t, don’t sh*t on those that now are!!”

I’ve used my platform and I’ve brought my guys -and girls- UP!”

He ended it with one more shot:
“The brand of Kevin Hart is a brand that’s spread so fu*in’ FAR, whether you like me or not! My presence in comedy will forever be felt, because I’m a fu**in’ BOSS. I sit on the top of it and the opportunities that I’m giving others, are the ones that I’m creating. So take responsibility for you did. YOU fu**ed you! Nobody else did!”

OUCH! That’s gon’ hurt for Katt in the morning. Kevin cut so deep with those sharp daggers of reality, that the pain is evident and unavoidable for Katt Williams. Pretty sure he’ll respond at some point though. Y’all know Katt ain’t oen to run from a fight. Well, except if it’s the angry husband of an Atlanta radio host and he’s chasing after Katt with a gun. Okay, in that case, Katt knew best.

The 70th Emmy Awards Show was held on Monday, September 17, 2018, and both Katt Williams and his new rival, Tiffany Haddish, took home trophies. Katt won for ‘Outstanding Guest Actor’ in a Comedy Series (Atlanta) and Tiffany won ‘Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series’ (Saturday Night Live). That was all fine and dandy, but the highlight of the evening was what Katt did to Tiff’ backstage during the ceremony.

Bow Down

In case y’all didn’t catch what went down a few days ago, on Friday (Sept. 17th), Katt visited V103’s “Frankie & Wanda Radio Show” and stirred up more ruckus than a lil’ bit. Not only did he immensely roast the show’s co-host in his now viral interview, he slammed the hell outta Tiffany Haddish. Simply put, Katt pretty much said Tiffany doesn’t deserve to get all of the credit and accolades she’s getting these days, because she hasn’t put enough work.

Welp, like we said, what a difference a few days can bring. Why? Because in an odd twist of events, Katt ran into Tiffany backstage during the Emmy’s ceremony and appeared to bow down to the queen he saw before him. Tiffany was grinnin’ from ear to ear, as she held her new shiny Emmy Award and watched the man who’d just denounced her talents days earlier, kneel on both knees in a seemingly apologetic gesture.

Katt eventually stood up and smiled with Tiff’ for the camera and she posted the entire exchange on her Instagram page – just so her fans know it’s real out here.

As we previously reported, Katt didn’t hold his tongue one bit, when the V103 radio hosts asked him his views on comedian/actress, Mo’Nique claiming that Netflix unfairly pays Black women far less than Black male comics and her fellow white female comedians. Even though Katt shot down Mo’Nique’s claim, he also defended her, when comparing her situation to Tiffany Haddish’s latest Netflix deal, which she got soon after Mo’Nique blasted the streaming service.

On Tiffany Haddish, here’s what Katt had to say:

“She’s been telling jokes since she was 16, you can’t tell me one Tiffany Haddish joke,” Katt knowingly stated to the co-hosts. He continued, “Why? Because she ain’t done a tour yet, she ain’t done a special. She has not proven the ability to tell jokes back-to-back for an hour to nobody. And they already ready to down Mo’Nique and up somebody who has shown them Girls Trip.

Do you think she wrote Girls Trip goofball? Or do you think that was already a script and they handed it to her?

It’s up to you- whatever you want to believe. I’m the introduction to Tiffany Haddish in the movie, School Dance. The clip for School Dance has been seen more times than the movie has, that’s just a fact.”

Katt went on to say that Girls Trip‘s success had everything to do with it having “3 of our greatest Black actresses in it” (referring to the legacies of Jada Pinkett-Smith, Queen Latifah, and Regina Hall) and very little to do with Tiffany.

As far as the “White man” he referenced in his interview, according to Atlanta Journal Constitution:

[Katt Williams] also thinks Haddish is now the “It” girl because she wants “to sleep with a white man,” referencing a rumored relationship with recently divorced Brad Pitt. He also bad-mouthed her for marrying and divorcing a white man.

Tiffany politely responded with this tweet:

In an interview on V103’s “Frank & Wanda Show,” the topic of Tiffany Haddish’s new Netflix stand-up deal arose and that’s when Katt Williams’ drag session commenced for several minutes. He bashed Tiffany for garnering successes that he feels she does not deserve whatsoever…at least not in the comedy game.

The show’s co-hosts were in complete shock, but that didn’t stop Katt from laying out a laundry list of reasons why he thinks Tiff’ shouldn’t be the “It” female comedian right about now. However, he also stood up for comedian, Mo’Nique…but not before throwing out some harsh facts her way first…

Katt Williams on Mo’Nique’s Netflix complaint of treating Black women unfairly:

“Well, everybody has to understand that Netflix doesn’t have an opinion on stand-up comedy. They base what they pay you, by the amount of ticket sales for your last tour. So Mo’Nique’s last tour had 316,000 tickets, therefore, that’s what she got offered. My last tour had 2.4 million tickets and so that’s what they offered me,” Katt said regarding his latest Netflix stand-up special.

“If people understand that it’s not personal, then they can just -for free- take they’re a$$ to work and get their numbers up. […] Netflix don’t call nobody, that’s the joke. … Is Coca-Cola knockin’ on people’s door to see what type of beverage they having today?”

On Tiffany Haddish, here’s what Katt had to say:

Sanaa Lathan’s Parents Went Off On Haddish?

In case y’all didn’t know, Sanaa Lathan’s pops is a legend in the entertainment game. He’s executive produced and/or directed countless hit shows and series throughout the years, including “Def Comedy Jams,” Dave Chappelle’s recent Netflix specials, Kevin Hart’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” “Sanford & Son”, “Hill Street Blues,” “Sesame Street” and many more.

What many also didn’t know, is that Tiffany Haddish is really cool with Stan (pictured below with daughter, Sanaa) and his wife, Marguerite (Sanaa’s stepmom, pictured below). Recap Of Bite-Gate & Sanaa’s Latest Reaction

As most of y’all already know, a few months ago, Tiffany Haddish indirectly blew up Sanaa Lathan’s spot, when she ever so effortlessly revealed that a popular, unidentified movie star bit the hell outta Beyonce’ at an industry party. According to Tiffany, Bey’ was pissed over that biting incident. At that time, Tiff’ did not divulge who the actress was, but she said that she did offer to deliver a quick smackdown to the actress over the incident, but Bey’ politely declined her offer.

Fans eventually figured out that the unnamed actress was Sanaa Lathan. Then came Sanaa’s denial of the incident, followed up by Tiffany’s recent confirmation that she was, in fact, referring to Sanaa as the Beyonce cheek biter. As of a few days ago, things got interesting yet again, after fans accused Sanaa of skating around the bite-gate question during her recent interview on “The Real”:

“I think it’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever been involved with. Thank God I’ve been in this business for 20 years and have had so many rumors about me. Tyler’s Surprise Video Message To Tiffany

The “Madea” film creator is worth about $600million. So what’s $80G’s to a brotha with that much in cash and assets, right? Not much, when it comes to gifting his homegirl, Tiffany, with a new vehicle just for the fun of it.

As most of us may already know (because Tiff’ points it out every chance she gets) Ms. Haddish prefers to live life on the more cost-efficient, frugal side of things. However, there is one purchase she’s long ago admitted that she would love to splurge on, if granted the opportunity and a large enough bank account. That is her love for the ever so classy Tesla Model X car.

That brings us to her friend, Tyler Perry, and his new gift. Even though Tiffany can now afford to purchase her own Tesla, given that she’s currently the hottest thing since sliced bread in Hollywood, she claims she never had a chance to slow up and purchase her car. According to Tyler though, that’s a bunch of bullcrap.

He thinks Tiff’ has yet to buy her dream car because she’s just started earning a certain type of income and is therefore, apprehensive about spending it, out of fear it may slow up soon. He said he can relate to the new lifestyle adjustment she’s trying to get used to, because he’s been there. Soooo, Tyler figured, ‘Ah, what the hell? Let me pick up that new $80,000.00 Tesla Model X for Tiff’ real quick, while I’m out.’ Okay, maybe he didn’t say it quite that way, but still…See what RICH friends will do for ya?

Here’s part of what Tyler told Tiffany in his video surprise (above), just before holding up the keys to her new car:

“I know you’ve been talking ’bout this for a long time. I was trying to talk you into going get it. I told you call the dealership, have them bring the car to you. You were like, ‘I don’t have time, I don’t have time.’ But I knwo what the real deal is. The real deal is, you gotta…be okay with spending a lil’ bit of money. So, I wanted to gift this to you and say you deserve it.”

Tiffany took to Instagram on Friday (July 6th) to thank Tyler and to also let fans know how she really felt when he surprised her with her new blue Tesla:

“So I got this message from my friend and Big Brother @tylerperry a week ago. When I tell you I cried so hard. I almost couldn’t believe it. 1st off a man has never bought me a car out right. I have always had to make payments. This was just out the kindness of his heart And probably tired of me talking about it all the time and I didn’t have to do anything for it but a Great job in our New Movie Nobody’s Fool. Thank God for kind people that want to spread happiness. I am now on my way to see if this is Really!
