There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Deion Sanders, a.k.a. Prime Time, is a living legend of the sports world. Everyone remembers the big smile, flashy suits and big personality that complimented his style on both the football and baseball fields, yet many had no idea that behind all of the glitz and glamour was a very lonely individual.

All That Glitters Ain’t Gold

Many will remember Deion was a very big star during his athletic career, which led him to both the Super Bowl and the World Series. Prime Time was so popular that he appeared in films, television commercials and even released a music video (bet y’all forgot about that didn’t you?) titled “Must Be The Money” which used a sample from the ’80s classic hit by Secret Weapon “Must Be The Music”.

In the video Deion gives us all a peek into the life of a certified baller, however decades later he revealed that everything going on back in the day was just for show. According to TMZ Sports, during a very candid interview on Paula Faris’ ‘Journey Of Faith’ podcast Deion confessed that although it looked like his life was poppin’ during that time, he was miserable, and would often use his money, and sex with many women, to cover up the pain he held onto deep inside.

Threesomes and Foursomes Left Him At “Rock Bottom”

“Rock bottom for me was having hundreds of suits and not covering the pain. Rock bottom for me was having hundreds of pairs of shoes but couldn’t take a step in the right direction.”

“Rock bottom for me was having 10 cars and wasn’t going nowhere. Rock bottom for me was having a 14,000-square-foot house but never feeling at home.”

“Rock bottom for me was laying between two and three women at a time, but you get up unsatisfied. Rock bottom for me … yes, I was bleeding.”

“Laying right beside the person who said they love you, but she didn’t even know you was in pain. That was rock bottom for me.”

Deion tried to talk to people close to him about his situation, but nobody understood. Because honestly, when you’re rich and living the good life, you shouldn’t have anything to complain about…right? Nope! Rich people are human as well, and they have issues too. But no one was prepared for what Deion was about to do next.

He Was So Unhappy, He Tried To Commit Suicide

During his interview, Deion revealed that he was so unhappy with his life, that at one point he tried to commit suicide. TMZ Sports reports:

Sanders has addressed his issues before — describing in his autobiography, “Power, Money & Sex: How Success Almost Ruined My Life,” how the stress drove him to attempt suicide in 1997.

Deion says he drove his car off of a highway and over a cliff, falling 40 feet. Miraculously, he survived.

“I opened my eyes and I was still alive,” Sanders says.

Since that terrifying incident over twenty years ago, Deion has rededicated his life to Christ and is leaving his antics as the Prime Time character behind him. He’s not only a motivational speaker, but as head coach of HBCU, Jackson State University, Coach Deion has his team cuttin’ UP on the field. We love to see it!

If you’re a fan of Babyface, you probably recall when many folks were calling Tracey Edmonds a gold digger after Babyface met her in 1990 on the set of his “Whip Appeal” video. For some reason, people were throwing jabs at Tracey because they just couldn’t believe that she was with him for nothing more than being genuinely attracted to him emotionally and physically. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but she caught a lot of flack after marrying Edmonds two years later.

They soon became parents to their sons, Dylan and Brandon, and divorced in 2005. Babyface also held nothing back in this interview when he explained why he thought Tracey’s marriage to Eddie Murphy in 2008 (although the marriage dissolved soon after) was a bad idea and he also said what he REALLY thinks about Tracey’s current boyfriend, Deion Sanders. “The reality is that there was a connection that wasn’t really there,” Babyface said during a sit-down interview with Oprah. “We loved each other but we weren’t really in love with each other. I’m okay with it because I think she’s okay.”

On Tracey marrying Eddie Murphy:

When he called me and said he didn’t want to meet my children until he sat down with me, so he wanted to know me before he met my children, I was in. Tracey is family, so I wanna make sure she’s good.”

What Sparked The Backlash

The 50 year old NFL’er-turned-commentator has been dating legendary music producer, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds,’ ex-wife, Tracey Edmonds (50), for some years now. He oftentimes posts religion-inspired messages about their love and how to maintain a relationship on social media. Fans’ Mixed Reactions

Although fans have love for Deion, they made it clear that just because he’s a celebrity, that doesn’t grant him an automatic pass when it comes to constructive criticism. Following Deion’s post about Tracey Edmonds, many fans questioned why he has yet to marry her after so many years together. They also accused the brotha of being hypocritical, because he isn’t fully practicing what he preaches. One fan in particular, must’ve pissed off Deion, because after the fan called him out for referencing the Bible but not following it, Deion did something he rarely does- commented back to defend himself.

Ever since 2008, when NF legend, Deion Sanders and his then wife, Pilar Sanders, first appeared on their reality TV show, Deion and Pilar Sanders: Prime Time Love, we’ve watched their kids- sons, Shilo, Shedeur; and daughter, Shelomi, grow up. Although their show only lasted one season, most fans never forgot about just how young their kids were at that time.

Then a few years later Deion and his current girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds (Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmond’s and Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife), surfaced with Deion’s family on Deion’s Family Playbook. During that time, we saw Shelomi maneuver in a house full of big brothers, who sometimes worked on her last nerve, LOL and she was so adorable.

The Unfortunate Family Drama

Now that we’ve gotten over the original shock of just how fast father time just flew by, we can’t talk about Deion and Pilar without filling y’all in on their latest unfortunate drama.

At the present moment, their 17 year old son, Shilo, and daughter, Shelomi, have chosen to live with their mother permanently. In case you missed our prior report, Pilar recently revealed that after Deion was originally granted full custody of their 3 kids a few years ago, she fought to gain full custody of two of them and she’s working on the third one now.

From the looks of the fun times Pilar posts on Instagram, their three kids are loving the time they spend with their mother.

Meanwhile, we checked the kids’ social media pages for any signs of their father, and the only one who posted anything about Deion in recent times is Shedeur, the one who is coached by Deion at Trinity Christian high school in Texas.

Deion and his kids were extremely close, but according to Pilar, things have changed in their family dynamic. She revealed to DailyMail that the kids pretty much don’t appreciate how Deion had her jailed a few years ago, for not returning them to him at the court mandated time. Ever since then, she says they’ve never really gotten over that.

Pilar also revealed that she’s just won her appeal in the $2 million defamation lawsuit Deion won against her a while back. He sued Pilar after she publicly claimed that he’d abused her during their marriage.

Pilar’s Court Win

Many of us recall win Deion won full custody of their three children and Pilar was only granted visitation rights. He then had her thrown in jail for 7 days for not abiding by the court mandated custody rules. Pilar then released public statements, claiming he’d abused her during their marriage. As a result of her claims, Deion sued and won a $2 million defamation judgement against her in 2015.

Via Bossip: “Sooner or later the truth comes out,” Pilar told Bossip. “Never stop fighting for what you believe to be true…Don’t give up on what’s right and what’s true.” An appellate panel of three judges sided with Pilar on her appeal of a 2015 court decision that found that she defamed Deion by making statements on television and social media that the former Dallas Cowboys cornerback had abused her, their kids and threatened to murder her.

Pilar also recently revealed what she says is the REAL reason that their three kids- Shilo, Shedeur, and daughter, Shelomi- do not want to be around their dad. Check it out below.

Pilar Tells Why Children Chose her Instead Of Deoin

In case y’all missed it, after his mom was granted full custody of him, Shilo threw major shade at Deion a few months ago. Heposted an Instagram message stating, “I’m finally officially back with my mom! … In a healthy, loving environment.”

In a new interview with DailyMail, Pilar says that she now has full custody of their daughter, Shelomi (13), as well. Their son, Shedeur (15), is still ridin’ with his dad, but Pilar said that will soon change too, as soon as football season is up:

She added that the reason Shedur is with his father is because he is starting quarterback on his football team at Trinity Christian School, Texas, where Deion is coach.
“It’s important to him right now,” she said. “That’s all that matters to me and that’s what he wants to do for the season but it’s temporary.”

Pilar said the reason their children are not really diggin’ their pops, all stems from the time Deoin had her thrown in jail over them for seven days. They apparently have never forgiven him for it:

“I was put in jail at Deion’s request solely because I had physical custody of my children on the days it was ordered,’ she said. “And regardless of me being in the right and following court orders the Collin County District Judge Ray Wheless wrongfully put me in jail.” As for her ex’s decision to take her to court in such a fashion she said: ‘It definitely affected the children. It didn’t put a good light on their father in their eyes and they were old enough to know and understand. That’s an issue he will have to work out with them for the rest of his life.”

“Children find their voices. Shilo has really been with me for two years and for two years we’ve been petitioning the court. They’re [the court system] giving ear to the children’s voices now and it’s turning around and we’re very grateful for it. I trust the process of life.”

Deion Has To Answer For What He’s Done

“I can only be responsible for myself and I don’t take anything negatively personally. I don’t pick it up so I don’t have to put it down. Doing wrong to someone who’s done wrong by me isn’t how I work.” [Pilar] added: “For his soul, it is what it is. He’ll have to answer for what he does and has done.”

Deoin Doesn’t Want To Co-Parent, But Is Pilar Open To It?

“I’m open to positive communication; I’m open to him playing a positive role in his children’s life. But it has to come from both directions. I believe the more I speak up, the more people hear my voice, the truth will come out but I always remain hopeful. I keep that door open to him.”

Hopefully they’ll be able to create a more peaceful co-parenting environment for their kid’s psychological and mental well being.

NFL legend, Deion Sanders, is getting blasted yet again by his 17 year old son, Shilo Sanders. Many of us probably remember watching Deion interact with his five kids on his reality show, Deion’s Family Playbook. Prior to that, we saw their family life with his then wife Pilar Sanders, whom Deoin divorced in 2013.

Ironically, it is Pilar whom is part of the reason why Shilo is going off on his Pops on social media.

The Previous Tension Between Deion & Ex Wife

For several years now, the beef between Deion and Pilar has been very public and sometimes very nasty. Deion’s successfully won a $2.2 million ‘defamation of character’ lawsuit against Pilar in 2015, after a judge ruled that Pilar’s many public abuse accusations against him were false. Pilar also blasted Deion after he’d won primary custody of all three of their children- sons, Shilo and Shedeur; and daughter, Shelomi- in 2013.

Like we mentioned earlier, this isn’t the first time Shilo threw his Pops under the bus on social media. During Christmas time in 2016, he posted a message on Instagram, along with the photo below of himself with his younger brother, Shedeur. Shilo blasted his dad for not giving them any Christmas gifts because he (Deion) was pissed that Pilar took them to get their ears pierced for Christmas- against Deoin’s wishes.

It’s All Good With His Other Son Though

Meanwhile, everything seems to be cool as a fan between Deion and Shedeuar- his other son with Pilar. On teh same day that Shilo was doggin’ Deoin on Instagram, Deion was giving props to Shedeur for being a warrior on the Texas high school football team that he (Deion) coaches.
